As the ship's jump drive kicked into gear Sledge immediately lost his footing on the wet shower floor and went head over heels oh lawd!
Pippin's eyes slowly opened to reveal the med-bay. He wanted to talk, but he felt incredibly out of breath.
The Archius suddenly shook slightly once more as the jump was completed. "We've arrived, Cap."
Said Lion's hologram as he turned to Jeremy.
Jeremy pressed his hand over his forehead, sighing. "What system are we in?"
"Unknown. We're currently near a large energy signature. It is... muffled." One of the screens changed and showed the image of a asteroid.
"I think it's inside that asteroid... Scanning for a opening."
"He did say these coordinates were a safe place. I'd say we go in once we find the opening. Any worries?"
"As you wish Captain. As far as worries go I'm detecting some dormant auto-defenses inside some of the neighbouring asteroids." A small asteroid cluster appeared on the screen, one of which was zoomed in on and revealed several dormant attack drones.
"Good news." Said Lion as the HarkArk logo appeared on the drone registry.
The screen shifted and the big asteroid was now the focus again. A small antenna was barely visible in one of the larger crevices on the asteroids's surface.
"No entrance although I have the frequency for that communications array, I suggest you do the talking Cap."
"Sure, give me the frequency. They probably know we're guests."
"Patching you through, you're live Cap."
Kira Greene grabbed herself a cup of artificial coffee, unfortunately it was all they have on this covert outpost. She took a sip, brushing off the strands of her long ponytail out of her face. She felt grouchy, of course she was always grouchy. She walked up to the command room, eyeing her subordinates.
"Major we have an unidentified ship at our range. They seem to know our frequency channel." An operator said, Kira crossed her arms. "80% chance Braun sent them here, otherwise they're susceptible people." She muttered, shaking her head at the thought of invaders.
"This is Captain Jeremy Spacehawk of Archius XI, we were sent here by Colonel Yai Vin Braun, we have this sphere that might be part of the Oracle, please respond over."
And those were the magic words, the Major sighed and closed her eyes. "Bring them in, you know the procedure." She stated, adjusting her beret.
The asteroid curved up, as if bits of rocky material migrated to open up a hidden entrance for any ships wise enough to get sent here.
The Archius entered through and landed.
[so when do we find out what happened to the injured crewmen, I know they're in the med bay, but I mean what beyond that]
[I mean that's not really up to me its up to you to play it out.]
(I feel it would be weird for me to just suddenly be better without real treatment, seeing as I was shot in the side.)
[You're acting as if we have only one doctor around a big ship. That's not really the case. There are some npcs on the ship, think the Normandy from the Mass Effect series. You have your followers and the crew operating the ship. Create a character that's a medic and rp it out.]
(I feel it would be weird for me to just suddenly be better without real treatment, seeing as I was shot in the side.)
[same, Jeb would need a lot of work to get better]
edit: [ok, for my character, it's going to be a bit though (I'm going to use this for character development, I'll PM you doom)]
Pippin sat up and felt his side. It ached but was healing he walked across the med-bay to check on Jeb.
Jeb's surgery went through smoothly as could be expected with the injuries he sustained. The doctors and droids managed to stabilize the field surgery that Lion conducted. With Jeb's internal bleeding solved, he rested in one of the beds on the ship. In time, he finally came back to consciousness, but he hurt all over. "Oh man, I may be better, but I still feel broke as heck." he said as he used the painkillers he was provided. He then drifted back to sleep.
Seeing now that Jeb was alright, Pippin headed for the bridge, he wanted to know what was happening. Pippin approached Jeremy. "So captain, I take it we survived?"
Jeremy was suddenly surprised to see Pippin up so soon, I guess one of the doctors got to work fast. "Patched you up quick eh? Yeah, not one casualty. But right now I'm not sure if Iska's up. Let's hope she wakes up soon."
"And let's hope she's in a better mood when she does."
Viper stood for several moment's on bridge after the Archius XI was able to successfully warp from the Crimson Son fleet hot on there tail. looking over the status of each crew member wounded on mission, feeling relief as they all but Iska were able to make a full recovery.
Viper remembered that Jeremy had requested the Sanghvi earlier, wanting to speak with Viper private. As such Viper walked over to the Jeremy as he was finished welcoming the new soft-carbon crew member named Pippin.
"Sir, sorry to interrupt you but what was your request earlier?" Viper said with a confused voice and walking in a bit closer before continuing on. "You said you wanted to speak with me in private if I remember correctly."
Jeremy sighed and looked directly into Viper's visor. "Yeah, come." He gestured Viper to come to a place where people wouldn't hear their conversation. "Look Viper, I know you intended to restrain Iska and to calm her down. But, when I gave you a direct order to stop I meant stop. What you did afterwards was not necessary and you disobeyed my command. You could have killed her."
Viper was frozen in place as Jeremy told the Viper about Iska, Viper imminently remember choking the defenseless soft-carbon. Staring into her eyes as the rain poured, getting louder and louder until fully blocking out the nearby sounds as Viper mind continue to be dragged into the memory.
Viper watched as the talons of Exo-suit beak Iska's neck in the grip, letting her lifeless body to fall into the mud, dead. The Shanghvi doing nothing but radio in for further orders, The intercom was filled with static as Viper stood there motionless. Nothing more then a done.
The sight left Viper in horror, Viper nearly falling down onto floor of the room in shock. Jeremy tired to help Viper up but was pushed back into wall by Viper's talons in a sudden reaction .
"I'm sorry, Sir!" Viper said multiple times with rabid voice while backing up to a wall. "I'm..Sorry." Viper said with sadden voice one last time before sliding down the wall.
Hologram-Lion stood with his arms crosse, overlooking the bridge as the Archius slowly began to dock. He looked around and saw Viper fall to floor.
"Uh oh." He opened up the ship intercom. "Attention, can a security officer please report to the bridge?"
Varn was assisting Arthur in interrogating the assassin. "He's a tough nut to crack, Ill give him that. But I like cracking shells." The assassin had seen better days. The mechanical parts were damaged or had wires hanging from them. Some of them were taken out, so Arthur could better examine them. The flesh parts were bloody and bruised. He was breathing heavily, but still refusing to say anything.
"Attention, can a security officer please report to the bridge?" Varn turned to Arthur "That would be me. Please call me if robot boy here starts giving you too much trouble." He went up to the bridge. "Whats going on?"
Jeremy felt shocked to see Viper's current state. It was clear enough that Viper's is experiencing some type of disorder to act like this. He hated to deal with a trusted crew member like this but this type of behavior was unacceptable. "Stand down Viper. We can help you out but I can't have you acting like this."
As Viper laid up against the wall, looking around a crowd begin to gather around Viper. Mumbling to each other as they looked down on the large rock monster inside a larger metal body who was making quite the scene on the bridge.
"Stand down Viper. We can help you out but I can't have you acting like this." Jeremy said after knelling down to Viper's height. Making eye to eye contact with the deep blue visor of the Exo-suit.
Viper broke to contact for a few moments, looking at the floor before returning back to face Jeremy.
"I I...Yes, Sir."
"Attention, can a security officer please report to the bridge?"
Cool, Sledge thought, I was heading there anyway.
He got dressed and headed with a solemn confidence up the lift to the bridge, arriving just after Varn did. He'd convinced Herc to stay within the safety of Sledge's personal quarters and made sure to lock the door before leaving.
"What's going on?" he heard Varn ask. Sledge turned and saw Viper, having some sort of breakdown against the far wall. His brow furrowed and eyes narrowed at the scene.
Regardless of his personal feelings on the subject, Sledge waited for the captain to speak first.
"Just don't let this happen again. Alright?"
"PERMISSION TO SPEAK, CAPTAIN," Sledge thundered. He didn't wait for a reply before continuing. "Viper is in no condition to be our head of security. His lack of control and lapses into bloodlust could easily put us all in danger. I request that he be relieved of duty immediately until we know what's wrong with him." He paused and took a sharp breath before continuing in a deep and angry tone. "And Iska. I request that she be moved to the brig as soon as possible."
Sledge's eyes met the captain's. "Our crew is all we've got, Captain. With a weak crew we'll fail our mission."
