"You always know how to make them good." Varn picked up his glass and did a short salute to the captain. He sat and drank quietly while listening to the conversation.
Pippin returned to his quarters for a shower and a change of clothes. When he was done he started heading for the mess hall. He grabbed some food and sat to eat.
"We got that sphere and retreated, they were literally dozen groups around the swamp. All I know was that they were professional and sure gave us hell too. They even made the Divinity Creed retreat when one of their frigates got blown up." He rubbed his eyes, having some bags underneath.
"We got out of there quick and we still had them on our rear. Then we met a Colonel named Braun that provided cover. There's no telling how he knew we were in trouble but I get the feeling these soldiers in this asteroid will tell us."
"Either way, if those indiminating men and ships were after us and Harken Saw's concerns I think those guys were Crimson Son."
"Incredible. Then, I assume we jumped somewhere?", Dwan asked, taking a sip from his drink.
"Some kind of covert base hidden for an asteroid as a second skin. Kind of clever but a bit silly tho. Now i wonder if the commander around this place will greet us."
"I cannot believe all of this happened so quickly!", Dwan said, taking another sip. "Let's hope those Crimson bastards don't find us for awhile. Anyway, how's everyone?", he asked, still concerned.
"Could have been better, I think Viper is suffering from a disorder, she's been acting like this shelled shocked person ever since she restrained Iska."
Lions eyes turned blue and his head began moving. He disconnected himself from the charging station and started walking around his room. Despite being in a robotic body Lion still had the ability to feel and right now he felt unfocused.
The mission on Gadon had been rough on everyone involved, Lion included. Plus, he had been working non-stop ever since he came aboard the Archius.
He needed to blow off some steam and as such he went for the bar. When he got there, Dwan, Varn and the Cap were chatting about.
Lion sat down next to Varn.
"Some syntholeum, please." He slid some credits over the counter.
The Mess Hall felt kind of chaotic and uncomfortable right now. Pippin would rather eat somewhere else. He saw Lion heading for the bar and followed him there.
[Bar sausage fest, tune in for more at happy hour!]
"Shell shocked, huh? Maybe what Viper needs is a nice drink and a talk.", Dwan told Jeremy. He notices Lion enter the bar, asking for some syntholeum. "Great to see you Lion!", he said as he poured him a glass. "The three of us here are just talking about everything that's happened today. You guys had a really rough, according to Cap here.", he told Lion.
He noticed Pippin follow Lion into the bar, sitting next to him. "Why hello there, what would you like?", he asked him.
Nothing too strong. Maybe something a bit sweet.
Dwan makes Pippin a Rainbow Sherbet cocktail. "Here you are.", he says as he hands him a glass of the drink.
Lion took a shot from his glass. "Rough is a understatement. I haven't been i a fight that tense ever since my old Marine sergeant told us to leg it towards God's Refuge.
I had to do some field-surgery on Jeb to keep him stabilized and ontop of that I had to do what I could to keep the Archius and the ground team safe from aerial attacks."
He took another shot. "Sweet Terra this is good for my joints."
"I do recall seeing one of our ships fighting in space. I assume that was you?", Dwan asked.
Lion nodded. "Oh yeah, those Divinal bastards knew how to fly. They aren't as rag-tag as they used to be back in the days."
Lion raised his glass. "For the Archius!" He drank the last of his syntholeum.
Jeremy turned his head to Varn and noted that a Zealot kicked him during battle. "Varn, you know anything about this guy who fought you when we were dealing with the Creed's troopers? He looked like the Zealot before we dropped off to Gadon."
"Thanks for that." Pippin sipped his drink and looked out the window as the Archius Docked with the base.
Varn thought for a second. "Well, besides the fact that he can kick like a motherfucker, I don't recall anything good or concrete about him. He did look like the crazy guy you were talking to before we went planet side." He took a sip from his drink. "I've had my run ins with the Creed and other religious nuts. Every time its the same thing. Kill the mutant, cleanse the abomination purge the devil." he said while doing over the top gestures.
Meanwhile, Jeb slumbered but something was happening in his dreams...
He dreamt first of the most recent encounter on Gadon with the swamp beast. "Nice doggie" he recalled himself saying right before the monstrosity lunged at him and its jaws crunched down on him. Jeb instantly winced in his sleep from the memory of the pain. At this point the nightmare stopped only for a recurring memory to take its place.
At first it seemed only the memory that he had seen time and time again. However, soon Jeb noticed some differences that he failed to notice prior. The first difference was two men speaking before his race. "You told me you were going to get me to the checkered in the lead, yet my competition still stands pretty strong today" said the first man. "Relax, it's all taken care of. Just give it time, you'll see" replied the second.
Jeb then started to wake up.
"Why can there never be a period in human history where we don't have religious nuts and extremists running around killing everything they don't like?" Pippin sipped slowly. "Anyway, yeah, that guy managed to keep up his act even after being cluster bombed and shot at by an, albeit only somewhat conscious me."
Viper rested in an small holding cell within the medical bay. Viper tired to get some rest, laying up against the wall in the corner of the room. Wondering how long Viper would last among the Sanghvi, there hatred for collaborators would be sure death for Viper within a matter of days.
Viper didn't seem too against the ideal of it though, death was something Viper only recently feared and slowly begin to accept it again. It's proven that Viper's ability was gone, no amount of building a new shell or weaponry could fixed what of inside of the Exo-suit.

Lion chuckled. "Never, judging by previous historical events. I remember when my grandfather taught me about all the three World Wars. There will always be nutjobs and there will always be smart nutjobs to lead them." He paused as he got a sort of distant look in his robotic eyes.
"Then of course, there will always be soldiers brave enough to go up against them." Said Lion as his mind wandered off.
Jeremy finished the last of his whiskey, paying Dwan a few credits as he looked at the time. "Regardless at this point, things are going to get riskier and tougher. The Divinity Creed, now the Crimson Son? Let's hope we have support." Jeremy rose from his stool, standing tall as he reached for some napkins.
"See you guys later." Jeremy said as he walked off.
Lion did a quick half-assed salute before continuing to stare down his glass.
Static flashed Viper's intercoms, A unknown single begin showing up on Viper's interface. It was nearby in the other room. Viper tired to communicate with Lion or Jeremy but only received static as the single started to talk.
"You...You.....come..he..here" A faint voice begin talk out of static, monotone and mechanical sounding. Viper tired to desperately to get though anyone nearly on the comms, only to be met with static.
"They...They can't hea..hear you.....Viper." Voice said before doing monotone chuckle.
The door open to cell, the guards gone and walls empty as the lights flicked on and off. All the doors were sealed tight expect for one.
"Come.....let us..come..face to...face" Voice said once again letting out a chuckle as it was finished.
Viper readied talons and claws for anything, all weapons systems were disabled on the Exo-suit as per protocol.
It's was the Arthur's medical room, he seemed to have disappeared along with all of the other staff. The assassin on the table was the only person in there as Viper slowly walked in, looking around the room as the door behind Viper slammed shunt.
"You..you." "What do you want? half styth?" Viper interrupt as assassin turn his head to face the Exo-suit's visor, Most of the cybernetics were forcefully removed by ether the battle or during his interrogation. Only his right eye remain as his nose and jaw seem to have been removed and replace with tubes going into his torso.
"You and I...are the same. We....We are dogs..." He said though the intercom while making eye contact with Viper. "I..I can see your....your pain" Viper step back in shocked and shouted "Your a murder! I'm not...I'm..not" Ending with a low voice.
The assassin chuckle before continuing on "Your a Sanghvi..Your were built for it" Viper walked over and garbed the soft-carbon by the throat.
"We all....Monsters created to..to fight for...whatever orders they..they have us.. You would..the same...You...like to think that..you could be...different." The assassin said as his laughing begin filling the the Viper's comms.
This only pushed Viper over the edge. Diving a talon though the assassin heart, impaling him on both and lifting him up into the air. His screams blasting though all the systems within the room as his body side off onto the floor in a pool of his own blood and oil.
Viper stepping back to see what the Sanghvi had done but before Viper could dread a muffled sound started coming from the assassin body. Tick after tick as he left out one more laugh at Viper with his last breath.
Viper ran and jumped upon the assassin's body, knowing what had to be done.
Lion suddenly looked up. "Unknown entity inside the medbay, Varn, with me!" Lion quickly rose up and brought out his rifle in a mere second.
Varn finished his drink and followed Lion. "Dwan, put what I owe you on my tab."
Lion and Varn entered the elevator and started going to the last level of the ship. Lion loaded his rifle and started up three lasersights, all coming from his left eye.
He looked at Varn. "I got two from the main room. One is Viper and the other one is of unknown origin. Lethal force authorized."
The doors opened up and Lion took point as the duo started to approach the medbay. They went past several of the smaller rooms, still containing their patients.
A large door was infront of them, the door into Arthurs lab and the special containment cell where Viper was temporary held.
Lion waved his hand to the left side of the door, motioning for Varn to take up position. Lion positioned himself on the right.
"One... Two... Three!" The door opened up and the two soldiers stormed in with their weapons drawn.
Pippin followed Lion and Varn at a distance seeing as all he had was his pistol at the moment.
