(( Holy cow there's so many new posts... I didn't get through them all yesterday, mostly because I went to my parents' house for dinner and was there for like seven hours. My mom makes the best barbecue pork ribs. c:
Anyway I'm still back on page 60. :v: So much catching up to dooooooo. ))
Lion shook the Major's hand. "Pleasure to meet you again, thanks for helping with our recovery efforts."
He gestured towards the room. "If needed I'll assist with the training in any way I can."
Lion turned to Dwan. "Yeah, you have a armor set waiting to be tried on. It's the one to the far left." Said Lion as he pointed towards the set marked with Dwans name and profession.
"Good, I need security on the crew so I can know how others react, what skills they need to improve on, etc etc." She referred to Lion. She looked around the Security room and noticed a firing range in place, this was a good place to start. Kira observed the armor sets Lion gave to Dwan.
"Those helmets can work as target assists correct?"
Pippin took the weapon and readied it. He walked over to the firing range and aimed at the targets in front of him.
Dwan grabs the armor set on the far left with the tag that reads "D. THEIDRUM - BARTENDER - ARCHIUS XI". He notices Lion and the Major talking. "If you don't mind me asking, what are you two talking about?", he asks.

"Yes Ma'am, helmets link up to the operators weapon for a dynamic sight." Lion turned to Dwan.
"Combat training for the crew, Gadon proved that our non-combat crew require some basic combat training for added efficiency."
Pippin smirked. "well, I think I did a pretty good job, except for the part where I was shot, and where I missed an opportunity to kill the enemies leader."
(I won't be able to post tonight, due to really shitty hotel Internet. Varn is in NPC mode until I get back home tomorrow night.)
Iska looked down on the Major with a raised eyebrow. No short human lady was gonna teach anything to the daughter of a warcrafter and a member of the Volgrim clan.
She turned to Lion, "You have anything for Iska or can Iska leave?"
"Yanim, come with me. We need to see Arthur right away."
Her eyes narrowed at the thought of encountering Arthur again. "Of course," she said, slowly.

"Of course." Lion pointed towards another beefed up armor set marked "I. VOLGRIM - ENGINEER - ARCHIUS XI".
"Make sure to send me some feedback, yeah?"
After getting a bit of a feel for the weapon, Pippin inspected the armor. "Looks kind of bulky, I'll give it a try." With that he slid into the vest and shrugged.
Lion handed him his helmet. "You're just not used to it, should feel a bit better after a minute or two."
"Interesting.", Dwan said in response to Lion's answer. Dwan sat on a chair, took off his shoes, and started putting on the armor. Helmet, vest, shinguards and forearm protection, the whole thing. His bartender uniform's slim style allowed him to just put on the armor right then and there, allowing for a snug fit.
He got up, fully armored. The armor was relatively compact, sufficiently protecting Dwan. "I'm going to assume we'll have skin-tight suits to wear underneath the armor.", Dwan said monotonously.
"Of course, infact I'm working on the undersuits right now. Point is that the armor can be worn without it as well, incase there's an emergency or urgent need for some backup."
Lion walked up to Dwan and pressed a button on his helmet, effectively starting up onboard computer system. "Make sure to use that HUD to your advantage. Friendlies should be marked in a green color, neutral in yellow, hostile in red and unknown in white."
"Will do.", Dwan tells Lion. "Atleast the armor isn't weighted. I hate weighted armor.", Dwan says, as he sits back down and begins taking off the armor and putting his shoes back on. "You don't mind if I take my armor with me to the bar? I'd want to have it near my arsenal.", Dwan asks.
Yanim and Jeremy walked across the room where Arthur stood, he could only expect the worse when Yanim appeared. "Listen, let's clear all misunderstandings out the window. First Arthur, while it was wrong for Yanim to hide a message from the crew, I believe her intentions to study this technology in order to save our lives instead of acting as a spy for her race.
I understand what she does to even help out the crew. Heck even Kr' our chief engineer doesn't make a full effort to join out. If this much dedication she shows doesn't prove her to be trustworthy while fighting pirates, bugs and soldiers then I don't know what can define trust. I think there's a lesson in this that shows that we can't cooperate with one another if you suspect someone might betray you or set you up. That's not the case. We need to stop having that kind of attitude." Jeremy sighed, noticing the surprised expression on Yanim's face. He put up a stern look on his face for the whole time, the amount of frustration he received was to no end.
"The cybernetics from that assassin will be analyzed by the engineering personnel under observation of me and the Privateers. I know what you're thinking that the Privateers can't be trusted, but look, I've talked to the Major on her perspective. She has no reason to hide anything nor act suspicious. These are the people that covered our asses. Without them we probably would be running from the Crimson Son without nowhere to hide right now."
Arthur considered Jeremy's points for a couple of seconds, then smiled politely at him.
"Oh, don't think I don't agree with you, my friend. I can understand why this technology may be useful to the crew as a whole, and I must reiterate a point I made previously; I share Yanim's notion of using whatever technology that we can scrape off of this assassin to our advantage, but only for truly life threatening situations. However, even from the perspective someone illiterate in technology like this, something is clear; nothing on this assassin can be used to save lives. All it can do is destroy them." Arthur explained to the captain. He narrow his eyes, darting them to Yanim, and then back to Jeremy.
"If we're mentioning Kr', then I hope you don't mind me mentioning how you made a crucial mistake when dealing with Bruta, which led to us losing the trail of the pirate group he was attached to, as well as a loss of trust from one of your most important advisers. Your communication skills were absolutely terrible, and you have shown quite the flippancy while dealing with crew members and threats to us, and I cannot help but think that characterization has attributed to your opinion on this technology changing so quickly. As the pilot of a very important spaceship, you should also know that even the most loyal of crew members cannot be trusted entirely, especially one that has gone behind your back to secure assets for their own use." Arthur lectured Jeremy and the surrounding crew members. He walked up closer to face Jeremy, his smile quickly contorting into a snarl.
"I do not appreciate you telling me to trust these privateers in such a situation like this. Yanim is the one who stated she did not trust them, not me. I am willing to admit that I agreed with her, but I am not going to stand here and have that blame hoisted onto me. You are much better off telling Yanim all of this." Arthur made sure to leave his expression playing on Jeremy's mind for days. He walked past him, brushing Yanim and turning back to Jeremy one last time.
"With that considered, I'm not going to fight your decision, unless you decide to unconditionally allow Yanim full access to this technology. For the record, I am satisfied with your choice, given that analysis will be taken under yours and Greene's watchful eyes. If you trust me one bit, then it shall stay that way, and our Kanad friend over here will be kept well away from the equipment when it is not being reverse engineered for our benefit. And you both best not forget; I will be watching." Arthur told both Yanim and Jeremy. He quickly looked at Yanim, and whispered into her ear.
"We should have a drink together later, honey. Seems like you have some tension that needs loosening." Arthur smiled as he said this, finally walking away to his lab and leaving the technology to Jeremy.
((Pretty sure Iska wasn't with us during this last exchange, Pez. We're at the hall just outside the science lab while Iska went to the armory, IIRC))
Yanim had said nothing during the entire exchange, and looking back on the matter she felt it had been the right decision. Arthur had not only been insulting and confrontational, he had also completely ignored what the captain had to say. In Arthur's eyes, Yanim's involvement was still a liability instead of an asset, and the captain was foolish to think otherwise. He had criticized the captain's ability to communicate, but just what did he think the captain was doing by hearing out both sides of a story to resolve conflict? Worst of all, he seemed to believe that Jeremy's orders were only valid if he was, in his own words, satisfied with the captain's choices.
Although the captain allowed Arthur to walk away without responding, Yanim knew that he would have some serious considerations after this exchange. She chose to move the discussion on to something more productive instead. "Captain," she said, "I have asked Iska to lead efforts to analyze these parts for order to distance myself from any conflict of interest. I believe I am wanted in the Armory; shall I have a droid transport the materials to engineering?"
Jeb heard over the intercom about the new armor that the non-combat personel would receive. After his encounter on Gadon, added defense against whatever nastiness the galaxy would throw at the crew would be a welcome sight. He was, however, reluctant on the notion of going planetside again. His first contact with an enemy, and he panicked. That went about as well as could be expected.
"Yeah, I guess." Jeremy simply said. He placed both hands on his hips, staring at blank walls. "I'll come too, I need to check up on our guys with the Major."
Iska took a look at the armor, picking the parts she wanted.
She discarded the undersuit for her own comfort and but on the shrapnel vest, arm and legguards. Finally she picked up the helmet and looked at lion.
"Iska dislike helmets, goggles can be made?"
Lion nodded to Dwan. "Of course, just make sure, to keep it maintained." He then looked at Iska.
"Well, if you insist on ditching the helmet I have a eyepiece you could borrow. Same HUD-function, just less clunky and well, no head protection."
Iska put down the helmet. "Good. Helmet too clunky and in the way." She then pulled out her combat knife, which was broken in half. "You have a place where Iska can fix knife?".
Lion handed over the eyepiece and exchanged it with Iska for her broken knife. "I got something better for you: I can repair it for you. Just make sure to try out the armor properly while on the range and I'll have it fixed in no-time."
"Thank you, I'll make sure to keep it maintained.", Dwan said. As he was leaving, he overhears Iska and Lion. "Tell me Lion, can the helmet identify one's power level?", he asks Lion, snickering as he asks.
"Yes, it monitors all systems. Once I get the undersuits working it will also monitor your vitals. Feedback is relayed in real-time so if you're suddenly hit everyone linked up will know."
"That's quite useful.", Dwan says, struggling to keep in a laugh. Dwan thanks Lion once more before leaving the armory. Arriving back at the bar, Dwan puts his armor set underneath the counter, right beside his arsenal, before collapsing into laughter.
[Why u laugh @ poor Lion? :(]

"Iska appreciate offer, but would like to repair myself. Is gift from father, very valuable for Iska" she said whilst slowly rotating the knife in her hands. She but it back into her belt. "Iska will find way to fix it, friend." she saif whilst giving Lion a reasurring smile.
