Squish heads to the hangar. "I am here and hope I can help."
Pippin saw jeb and waved him over. "Hey, looks like we're in this together!"
Varn got up from his chair and payed the money he owed Dwan. He then went to the hangar. Once there he saw Pippin, Jeb and Squish. "Good to see you boys here. You ready for training?"
[[doomevil, is it alright with you if I leave Joseph as an NPC and let me play as another character?]]
[Yeah, why not]
Arthur's head shot up at the announcement from the speakers, jolting him up from his trance of hard work. He grumbled at the idea of being ripped away from his new project so early, but also reasoned that he needed a break. As he gathered up his gun and other equipment, he snapped his head back to the cat. "You be good while I'm gone, yes? There's a cute little kitty, yes you are..." Arthur cooed to the Sphinx. To his great pleasure, the cat replied with a nod. The scientist arrived at the hangar in quick measure. He waited around the back of the hangar, waiting for someone to speak to him, or for the captain to arrive.
"Probably not." Pippin smiled as he readied his weapon.
Dwan finished up his cleaning and left the bar. He arrived at the hangar, as he sees everyone gather up.
Iska got up as Dwan left and followed to the hangar.
"Well Pippin, that's why we're here. Relax, you'll do fine." Varn looked around the hangar. Many of the crew were already there, but there were still a few people missing. He noticed Arthur staying near the back. Varn walked up to him "Good to see you came here fast Dr. Beasley. I hope you're fine with the partner we chose for you?"
Arthur's attention had been drawn to Varn, as the Merc asked his question. Arthur vaguely remembered what Varn was talking about. "Partner? Hmmph, right. That list you mentioned through the intercom some time ago. I'm not quite sure what it involves, but I must hazard a guess at some kind of new assignment. I suppose that working with Joseph isn't a terrible idea, though given how he acts inside of the lab, I can only imagine how crazy he would act in combat." Arthur quipped, stifling a small laugh.
Lion appeared next to Arthur. "Don't you worry, this course is purely for physical training and teamwork building." He turned to Varn. "I rigged some sensors in the control room to monitor vitals, once the course is over we'll have a full review of how the crew did."
"Should we wear our armor for this?"
Lion waited before replying to that. "The vests should be enough, not mandatory though seeing as this is very basic training."
Jeb looked at his younger partner Pippin. "So we are together for this, this could either be very fun, or very bad I suppose."
Varn turned to Jeb. "Don't worry about a thing. I was careful with the selection. Plus me and Lion will be observing the whole thing and make the proper adjustments when necessary. Now we just need the captain to give the go ahead so we can start."
Jeremy and Kira watched the amount of members pour in, he walked up to Varn. "Alright this should be good. Do whatever it takes to "break" them."
Sledge arrived in the hangar with Hercules, who was still loaded up in heavy barding. "Yo, Lion, Herc learned to shoot and exhausted his blanks. After this we should load him up with some real firepower!" He slugged Herc in the shoulder with a meaty fist. Herc recoiled and chirped playfully. He quickly found Dwan. It was hard to forget a beard like his. "Alright brother, are you ready to show the other meat how men do?" Sledge offered the most muscular handshake he could muster.
Pippin slid off his crate. "Let's not blow up the ship, Sledge."
Dwan grabbed Sledge's hand and proceeded to do the most muscular handshake in this universe. "You betcha!", he replied.
Lion nodded and produced two new powercells from his thigh compartments which he then procceeded to load the Ares cannons with. When he was done he patted Herc on the head. "I have a feeling you're gonna become one of our best shots in notime, Herc." He then turned to Sledge. "He's fully loaded, meet after the training inside the armory so that we can review his score."
Yanim arrived at the hangar after stopping by her room briefly so that Skada could retrieve her guns. Even if the course was purely a teambuilding obstacle course, Yanim had a personal policy to never leave the ship unarmed. She quickly found Iska. ((My availability may be limited tonight. Yanim is NPC until I can get back on.))
Varn stood on a crate so the crew could see him. "Alright folks listen up. As many of you know, we're dealing with a shadow organization who employ dirty tactics and merciless methods to get their way. For someone like me and the rest of the security team, its Monday morning. But I don't think many of you have dealt with these tipe of people. You may not be able to beat them in combat, but well be damned if we don't give you a fighting chance. To do this, we have made this training course." Varn pointed towards the course Lion designed "Now, I'm not expecting amazing feats of strength or agility. I'm expecting you to work as a team." "You will start with the conditioning course. Then, you will move on to the obstacle course. Once all the teams are done with that. We've arranged a competition." He pointed to the cargo pods "You will pull those pods to the finish, the fastest team, wins. The reward for the best team is that they don't have to participate in the last trial, if so they wish." He points to the Lynx. "Pushing that rover to the designated spot. I see your worried face Dr.Beasley. I already said, I don't expect miracles. We will also reward points to those who are creative with their tasks. " "Now comes my least favorite part. Punishments. I'm not expecting you to like these exercises. But if you start causing trouble. You're going to the 'Square'. " Varn gestures to the square. "Expect plenty of physical exertion in there. Now should you have problems with your partner, that simple talking wont fix, were taking it upstairs in the gymnasium. You pick the mat or the ring and we pick the gear. And you work it out. If that doesn't work, you will be resigned. And if that doesn't work, youre stepping in the squared circle with me. And trust me, I will make you humble!" "If there are any questions ask them now. If not, the captain will pick a team from the list."

"Each team will go after the other. Which means Dwan-Sledge, you're the first to go to the conditioning course! Now move it!" He yelled. He wanted to shout out this order once they've went : Iska-Yanim, Dolosus-Jordon, Pippin-Jeb, Arthur-Joseph, Otso-Michelle, Pyrovik-Zach, François D'arragant-Byron, Turatko-Isaac, John Riker-Lemmy, Squish-Colin, then lastly Saint Tussor-Khaen-suas.
(Aww, no squish?)
[Fixed, we forgot to put you and colin.]
Iska observed the course and the other teams. She hunched down to Yanims level, "This will be piece of cake, no?" she whispered with a wry smile.
"Watch these two," Yanim replied after nodding in agreement. "They will use brute strength to solve everything. Wherever they fall short, we improvise a solution, sekadera. <understanding one>."
(( What's in the conditioning course? ))
