Viper was shocked to see the soft-carbon's reaction, expecting an more hostile response at the worse but Viper was more then surprise by the rather claim expression from Iska. Viper tired to answer the confused soft-carbon, but Viper was still quite anxious about the whole ordeal. "It's-It's...an extension of..of my apology." Viper said to Iska with a nervous tone. "For..our..wh-wh I did to..you on Gadon"
Iska raised an eyebrow. "Memory still very blurry from Gadon, you have smething to apologize for?".
Pippin typed out a message to Lion. "Hey Lion, I've not had much to do lately and was wondering if you wanted help on any of your projects. I'm not the greatest, but I'm sure I could lend a hand."
Suddnly Lion received a message from Pippin which he was quick to repy to. "Absolutely Pippin! Come down as soon as possible and I can teach you a thing or two about void crystals." After he sent it one of the workshop machines behind him beeped, signaling that several weapon pieces were done. After some quick assembly Lion ad turned it into a handgun. He weighed the gn in his hand before deploying his small decorative laser which he then used to inscribe the signature LWA lionshead symbol to the grip of the gun. He then moved on to the rifle and began opening it up.
Viper stood there in font of Iska, frozen as Iska's question pierced the Sanghvi's harden shell. Did the Soft-carbon really didn't know what had happen during their last encounter with one another? Even though Viper could simply buried the whole experience, it would only delay the Iska from finding the truth and against better judgement proceed to tell Iska what happen on Gadon. "This..This will help you understand." Viper said before taking out a small data card from within the implant and giving it to Iska. The card in question held the footage from the Mantis exosuit's visor during Viper's period on Gadon. "I can play here though an nearby console to show you." Viper said, even Viper was farily hesitant to show Iska all of what happen on Gadonbut but felt that the only build Iska trust was to be as open as possible.
As the Archius started up her engines, the ship began to ascend to space, the base opened its crusty doors slowly. Archius XI was about to explore other planets but this time the Captain wanted for his members to decide on where to go this time. "You look pretty hulked out. Who did it?" Jeremy asked Sledge.
Varn wan't surprised of Nycho's silence and glare after he told her from which mercenary group he came from. "Yeah, there's the cold shoulder again." He thought. "I'll be in my office. If anyone needs me, just call." He walked back to his office. He looked over some of the messages that had pilled up. The captains message regarding their next destination caught his eye. He thought for a few seconds. He send the captain a message.
The crew have been working hard these last couple of weeks. I think they need some RnR. A resort world could do the trick. But, if someone else from the crew want's to do something else, that wouldn't be a problem.
Pippin gathered the few tools he had (He was less of an engineer and more of a tinkerer) and headed to the armory.
As Pippin waled into the armory Lion could be heard yelling from the workshop room. "In here, Pippin." Pippin walked in just to see Lion aim down a rifle with its side open, revealing wiring, circuits and other technological components. Lion turned to fac Pippin. "Good you're here." He gestured towards an empty socket located in the stock of the rifle. "This my friend, is a void crystal socket." Lion put down the rifle on a workshop table and opened up a small case next to it. As the case was opened a blue shimmerig light filled a small part of the room. Lion held up a small blue sphere. "This is a void crystal, I'm unsure how familiar you are with them so I'll giv you some quick ifo about this one: This little ball is manufactured by NewGen, it contains a reaction between two different energies with names that Im not even going to try and pronounce. All in all, it's like having a star powering your weapon. Volatile but very powerful." He paused, staring into the small sphere before turning to Pippin again. "Now, grab your blowtorch and heat up the conductors so that we can put it in its socket." Lion gestured towards the rifle.
Pippin shuffled around inside his bag until he found his torch, and followed Lions instructions. As he worked, he started making small talk. "Hey Lion, do you ever have to perform maintenance on yourself?"
As Lion put the sphere in a metallic case he nodded. "When I connect to my charging station inside this very room I have several drones that perform maintenance on me. It goes pretty fast seeing as the life on Archius is pretty tame hazard-wise. Gadon felt pretty nice, the temperature really helped for my joints." He looked towards Pippin. "Is it heated up? You should see a green light somewhere next to the socket."
Pippin nodded and stopped the torch.
Slow but steady, Lion carefully placed the sphere in its socket. Almost instantly the weapon powered up. Lion closed it up and began scanning it. "Should be good now, would you do me the honor?" Lion motioned for Pippin to try the rifle at the range.
"Sure, what can I expect?" Pippin asked as he shouldered the rifle
Lion rose up from his chair and started scanning Zarbon. "Yeah, I have some ideas." He turned to Zarbon. "I don't think we've met." Lion then extended his hand.
"Yes, I do believe I have yet to introduce myself." Zarbon said as he shook his hand. "Zarbon Lezardo, and you are?"
"Sure, what can I expect?" Pippin asked as he shouldered the rifle
"Heavy recoil during sustained fire, so go easy on her." [editline]9th June 2015[/editline]
"Yes, I do believe I have yet to introduce myself." Zarbon said as he shook his hand. "Zarbon Lezardo, and you are?"
[Let's pretend that this was before Lion went to work on Nycho's rifle.] "Lion, Senior Enforcer and Weapons Technician."
Pippin held down the trigger for a moment. It had a kick and he had trouble keeping it on target.
[I might just add that the Saystyn is a sniper rifle with 4 shots a minute due to the to the laser conductors cooling down. Devastating range, power and accuracy. But if you do not let the conductors cool down it becomes very inaccurate. Lets hope you don't break it now]
[Noted.] "Alright, put the safety back on. Looks like it's good to go." Said Lion before sending a message to Nycho. "Your weapons are ready."
Nycho had been touring the ship as she waited for her rifle, to get a sense of where everything was located. As soon as she got the message she headed down to the armory. When she entered she headed directly to Lions desk. "I am sure a man of you acclaimed expertise handeled it well" she shimmed and looked over to Pippin. "And if I may ask, who is this young man? Your apprentice?".
Pippin tossed the weapon to lion and wiped his brow.
Iska frowned, she was getting suspicious about what Viper had done, but she was also intrigued about what it may have been. Iska gestured the console; "go on." she slowly spoke in a low tone.
Varn tried to get to his duties, but he constantly felt distracted by something. He tried to work on the armor in an attempt to focus. But there was still that nagging feeling in the back of his head. The reason finally clicked in his head. He opened a direct channel to Jeb. "Hey Jeb, are you free to have one of our meetings again?"
Lion catched the rifle and politely handed it over to Nycho. "As good as new. As for him-" He gestured towards Pippin. "- This is Pippin, one of our engineers." Lion turned to Pippin. "Pippin, this is Nycho. She utilises psionic powers to speak, so don't be afraid if you hear a feminine voice inside your head all of a sudden." He turned back to Nycho. "I also have this for you." He picked up a white-colored gun which was lying on the desk. "This is the LWA Scorpion; Burstfire pistol with holographic aiming reticles. Secondary mode turns it into a semi-auto magnum gun, concentrating the laser shots into bigger and much more powerful projectiles. Enjoy."
"Of course...." Viper said with an worried voice, hesitant to play the video in font of Iska but pressed on as there was no going back now. The Implant interfaced with small console, pulling the footage from the data banks of the Implant and streamed it onto the console. The holographic projection on the table changed to the Mantis's Visor point of view during the later stages of the Gadon conflict, showing Viper running back to Rougerider after the receiving the artifact. The camera swings about as Viper scans the soundings, only to get an glimpse of Iska charging towards Viper. The Sanghvi manages to doge Iska's incoming attack and stands to face an rampant Iska. Viper orders Iska to stand down, as rain begins picking up in the swamps. only to receive an roar and taunt in response. Viper waited for the berserk Iska to act, readying as she run forward with her combat knife in hand. As she was about to strike, Viper managing to side step her and get behind the battle focused Iska. Viper then used both of the suit's talons to put the surprise soft-carbon into an stranglehold, holding her for several minutes as she suffocating. Kicking and scratching against armored steel of the exo-suit in several futile attempts to break free using her combat knife, only to break it's blade as it scratched against exo suit's steel shell. The video feed cuts out as Andron tackled the Sanghvi to down to mud, releasing Iska from Viper's gasp. As the hologram faded, Viper turn to face Iska. Readying for her response.
Iska raised both her eyebrows and sighed. "Viper did good." she said, with dissapointment in her voice; "Iska should be making apologies". She looked down on her hands "Iska hates this curse, but is our nature". She looked back up at viper, a small smile appeared on her face. She put her hand on Vipers shoulder. "Don't worry, Iska still your ally". [editline]9th June 2015[/editline] Nycho accepted the the gun from Lion and studied it. "Truly a testament to your skillful crafting. Now let us only hope I do not need to use it." She bowed to Lion and Pippin. "In shala, Mr Lion, Pippin" she declared with a satisfied tone. She then left the armory to go see Arthur in the science lab.
Inside the hangar bay, a static testing stand was prepared for the new hoverbike, the ATD. Yanim followed a cart-pulling drone into the test zone and supervised it as it was latched into place on top of the portable test sled, which weighed over two tons, keeping it firmly planted on the floor. Remotely controlling the bike using her tablet, she used the engineering override code to place all repulsors into "full-vertical," an arrangement which was unstable and unsafe for riding, but useful for testing thrust, as she would be measuring the tension placed on the anchors which were holding the craft to the test sled. She dialed the thrust in at one-quarter power and watched the tension begin to rise. A secondary process automatically used that information to estimate the lifting capacity and top speed of the craft, which were inversely proportional. Locking the estimated passenger weight at 250 pounds (113Kg, her estimate for the captain plus his gear,) she watched as the estimated speed at one-third thrust passed 60mph (nearly 100 km/h). At this point, it could be reasonably assumed that the ATD would be practical for a majority of the crewmembers. Out of curiosity, however, she continued to dial up the thrust to see what the maximum speed would be. The whine of the circuits became deafening. Repulsor circuits, by their design, have an exponential curve of output. That is to say, the closer they come to their maximum load, the more efficient they become. In the excitement of watching the numbers begin to accelerate in their climb, Yanim stopped paying attention to the absolute thrust which was being produced, and as a consequence the ATD began to hoist the sled into the air once it reached max power, dragging it toward its heavy side with sinister momentum like a giant air hockey puck. "Hey! Shkuta kisk duztkamik! <Sit down, you jack-assed machine!>" As soon as she cut the power, the sled hit the ground with a thump which could be felt as far away as the zoo chambers. The shock was enough to cause Yanim to drop her cane and lose her balance, and she staggered several steps backwards before regaining it, standing on her feet unassisted for the first time since the surgery. Realizing that she had stopped the test moments before what would have been an embarrassing calamity, she did something she had been taught since birth to never do. She laughed. Although kanads perpetuate the idea that they are incapable of laughing, this isn't exactly true. The sneering sound heard instead is simply a restrained reaction. Like humans, the reaction to laugh is instinctual, but unlike humans, the anatomy of the kanad vocal system makes it sound really disturbing, even to other kanads, making it a social taboo. And so, for anyone within earshot of the hangar, an extremely loud "whomp" which shook the rafters was followed immediately by a screeching, "HYEEEE HYEE HYEE HYEE HYEE!" Picking up her cane, Yanim regained her composure and sighed, somewhat amused by herself. She then locked the maximum thrust of the repulsors to half power, producing a maximum speed of about 180mph (290 km/hr), noting in her logs that while the ATD was technically capable of supersonic speed, "the practicality of such a velocity is quite limited."
Captain, First I would like to extend my gratitude for my recent promotion. I understand that it may have been a difficult choice given recent development, but I hope to prove myself a reliable and efficient engineer under your watch. I would also like to present you with a new personal vehicle in the hangar bay, the first of what will become standard ground transportation for the crew. Finally, if no one else has suggested a new destination, I have a proposal I would like to discuss with you.

Crew, Please disregard any loud noises you may have heard near the aft of the vessel. A routine test in the hangar bay briefly went awry, but control was reestablished and no damage has occurred.
Captain Jeremy heard a beep and saw the message Yanim sent thanking him for the recent promotion, she also mentioned making a hover bike for him and soon the rest of the crew. He might as well go down to find the commotion where it hit them. Jeremy used the elevator and into the bottom floor. He saw Yanim and looked at the ATV. "Thanks for the vehicle, might as well come down here. What did you have in mind?"
