The Kingdom of Kalera is the feudal nation of the highland dwelling Aarokocra, the bird-folk. A proud and honourable kingdom, the warriors of Kalera are comprised mostly of Knights and Noblemen, who ride into battle atop griffons with lance and sword, seeking out glories and rooting out injustice wherever they go. The nobility and royalty pride themselves on their chivalry and justice, acting as a shield to their lower classes during battles. The stark difference between the nobility and peasantry is the society's greatest irony. The luxurious lifestyles of the upper class is maintained by the peasantry as they work the fields long and hard each day.
The Kingdom was previously split into smaller Dukedoms, each controlled by a Duke who sought to carve out their own Kingdom. It was with the current King, Krarc, that the race saw unification under one banner.
