Episode 1: A Red Letter Day March 1-7, 2090 AD It has been 75 years since the destruction of Earthly governments and the upbringing of the New Earth Government (NEG) by the Universal Collective. For 75 years, people languished under the oppressive rule and banners of the alien overlords. Many resistance groups have tried, and failed, to make a difference, and as a result have been crushed by the iron boot of tyranny. Resistance groups currently are nothing more than a pesky insect to the juggernaut of the Universal Collective. But new resistance groups have arisen, and now seek to reclaim Earth for mankind. Today, is a Red Letter Day. RESISTANCE

Members: 6 Strength: Minimal Notoriety: Unknown Morale: Normal Supplies: Normal

Sgt. Maj. Wyatt Kane, along with his squad, manage to arrive at the ruins of an old building, once known as a seat of power in the old world for the dominant superpower of the time, the Pentagon. They quickly establish their base there and immediately work to establish it as a new home for themselves. Within days, Kane and his squadmates have converted several old offices into makeshift living quarters. Along with this, the Pentagon is scoured for anything of use, for after all, this was a military headquarters. They find several standard issues US military pistols and rifles as well as a small vault in the basement of the building. The vault remains locked, however it could contain something valuable in it. The code is still a mystery and would take a while to try to crack into. Meanwhile, what has been found is put into an armory system like the ones used in the old world to keep track of equipment and weaponry. A radio console is also found and is immediately set to broadcast on obscure channels that the NEG most likely would not look for, looking for signs of anything. They receive a faint message coming from Megacity 1... After two days of travelling, three members of the 5th Special Forces Group arrive at the outskirts of the Megacity, tall walls loom over them as they advance into an old sewer tunnel to access the underground of the city. A close encounter with a massive skullcrusher as well as a small NEG patrol has the squad attract the attention of a local boy in the slum district of the megacity as they reach topside. The authorities are alerted to the disturbance however as well, and the boy leads the squad to his lair where his father stays in the basement. The father, Thomas Keyes, introduces himself as part of a resistance group within Megacity 1 known as the Sons of Liberty. However, the group has suffered quite a bit in the recent years following large crackdowns on illegal activities. Kane manages to strike a deal with Keyes, promising help and aid in exchange for Keyes proving his group's worth by attacking NEG patrols with a stunstick and a pistol provided by Keyes to take their equipment and credits. They escape through a tunnel which Keyes had been working on for a while that is unknown to the authorities of the city. Returning to base with good news, this small but well trained group have a good chance at making some chaos in the future. Having been forced out of their older lair, and losing most of their operation in the process, they found a new place to call home: an old distillery. Once they had been a force to reckon with in the underbelly of Megacity 7, that all has changed ever since the increased crackdowns on resistance and other criminal groups. But still, the Brotherhood lives on. Grandfather immediately orders some of his men to go to the Megacity to re-establish connections that might still be available. Along with this, their enterprises are also revived within the distillery, such as bootleg alcohol and meth production. As they work hard to re-establish a home, the Bratva cook up their first new batch of meth and venture into the tunnels of Megacity 7 to deliver it to one of their oldest contacts, Peter, who owns a tavern. Grandfather, with three of his comrades, meet Peter in his basement who in turn take them to a secret back room of his tavern, where one of the Bratva's clients await unhappily, Igor. After a harsh exchange of words, Igor is only willing to pay half of the usual amount for the batch of meth. The Bratva kindly pay with bullets as a gunfight ensues, killing Igor and all his goons while seriously injuring one of the Bratva. Taking the money AND their meth back, they quickly scurry back into the tunnels only to be intercepted by an NEG patrol, and another large firefight ensues. The previously wounded comrade, Andrei, is given some of the meth and he goes berserk, firing wildly even with a gunshot wound. He takes down a couple NEG troopers before going down himself, and they successfully retreat into the outside of the megacity, where the rest of their brothers await them... however, they were followed. A small patrol of NEG along with a mysterious robot follow them a bit later out of the city. However, Grandfather had anticipated this and laid a trap for them. The trap killed yet two more NEG troops which attracted a skineater into the vicinity which pursued the NEG patrol as they routed. Already not one week back, and the Brotherhood have begun to make waves again in Megacity 7. Scouring old gardening and hardware stores, they find some plows and shovels available as some urban plots are made under the cover of some tents to make some space for growing crops. A few seeds are planted into the newly tilled soil, but it remains to be seen if it is successful. Along with this, several members scour the dead city for any supplies that can be of use to the resistance. Several crates of canned food are found as well as a couple of Beretta pistols with some magazines. Some relief of protection is given from these findings, but when compared to what they’re up against, they will need more. Old government buildings and printing facilities are also searched, yielding some packaged paper bundles and an old radio unit, however it lies broken, requiring expert care to fix. People are also sent to Megacity 5 in an effort to help people escape the city and bring in new members to the cause, however it has yet to find anyone willing to evade authorities and brave the world outside. Perhaps with time, it will bring newcomers in. With these supplies, they lure in an NEG convoy deep into the ruined city and attack. While the Mujahideen takes some losses, the convoy is absolutely destroyed. Afterwards, a message is made on the outskirts of the city, with the bodies of the NEG troops displayed in gruesome fashion for the NEG, as well as everyone else, to witness. The message manages to make its way into Megacity 10, where several people manage to make their way to Tehran and join the cause, emboldened by the attack. The ruins of the small town of Karaj are also searched by the Mujahideen, where the group find an old stash of russian grenades as well as a small well of water, useful for maintaining a foothold in this area as water is scarce. The rest of the outskirts of Tehran are searched, with some basic provisions being found to allow for a better standard of living amongst the freedom fighters. The Mujahideen has made it clear they’re here to stay, and are not pushovers. Billy doesn't know, he hasn't seen the film. The point is, Billy is like Braveheart, fighting for Scotland. Gathering some of the lads from his community, they settle for the Ruins of Selkirk in Selkirkshire as a base of operations. From there, they immediately set to work on bringing other like minded Scots to bash some alien heads together. The lads manage to raise their count to 20 total as they set up themselves in an old pub, where they find themselves with a large supply of Scotch and Whisky. WIth their base set, the Bravehearters draft a memo and send several members to the nearby Megacity 2 to smuggle it into the city to spread the message of Scottish resistance. Big Billy makes a daring expedition to the ruins of Edinburgh, the once glorious capitol of the hardened, and often drunken, Scots in the old world. The lads find an old pub with a large barrel of whisky, which is promptly consumed on the spot by the group. They cause a ruckus to attract attention to themselves, which they do with an NEG patrol, whos sergeant is promptly decapitated and the rest slain with longswords, leaving only few survivors. This attracts the attention of SECOM, as they respond to the situation. However, the confrontation ends peacefully, without further bloodshed, as Billy and the lads retreat to the wilderness, drunk and proud of their attack on the NEG authorities, those pansy gobshites. They find themselves with some provisions obtained by looting some old and decrepit buildings as well as a place to stay for some time. While they used to have a radio, Toaster breaks it after trying to use it as a stereo system on Goldmask’s request, now requiring intense repairing and unfucking. Afterwards, Redline, Toaster, and Stripes head out to attack an NEG outpost in what used to be Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Needless to say, there were no survivors. A makeshift dance party with strobe lights ensued courtesy of Toaster’s build in lighting systems. With these recent successes, this ragtag band seek to continue making their fortune, while being on the side of the good guys… for now.

Members: 13 Strength: Pathetic Notoriety: Unknown Morale: Normal Supplies: Normal

The Resistenzo Italiano sought to look outwards from their monastery for supplies, and went out on an expedition to obtain said supplies. Using an old truck, several members capable of fighting found themselves at an abandoned NATO base, where they found several useful rations as well as a few rifles for use. Afterwards, they made way for Venice, only to find that Venice was not… there. Almost as if it had been wiped from the face of the earth. Nothing remained but the waters of the mediterranean. Disappointed, they then travelled south to Rome, to look for supplies, as well as religious artifacts for their catholic faith. They arrived to find a dead city, quiet and imposing with its size. As the group ventured forth, they found themselves scouring several major historical sites for artifacts of any kind. A note from a deceased cardinal found themselves crossing the Rome Metro tunnels to avoid an NEG outpost. They arrived at the mayor’s office to find a secret vault that contained several of the artifacts they had hoped for, as well as the body of the Pope himself. He had locked himself into the vault, to guard the artifacts in life, what little he had at that point, and in death. The group made an effort to give the Pope a proper Christian burial, and recovered the artifacts for themselves. Making their way back to their monastery, they could sleep easy knowing that they had been good christians on that day. Along with this, a massive recruitment drive goes underway for the guard position in this new prison, with many impoverished, as well as hardened, peoples joining on the promise of food and pay. An influx of prisoners are brought in with mass arrests in Megacity 8’s slums, by request of the Warden, and they are immediately put to work in the construction of the prison, under constant watch of firearms and stun batons. Work is fast, and grueling, with all essential facilities are to be in full operation in the next 2-3 weeks, with full manufacturing capabilities to follow 2 weeks afterwards. The end result is hopefully to be the largest prison of its kind with the manufacturing capabilities that rival the next 40 prisons combined.

Operatives: 0 -> 25 Strength: Minor Funding: Bare Minimum Notoriety: Minimal

With funding for his new initiative secured, Anton Fitzgerald immediately sets out to work on carrying out the will of the High Council, as is expected of him and his operatives. A recruitment drive is initiated which brings in a decent amount of collaborationist peoples into the ranks. From this, is created the fast and first-response team "Wolf Brigade" to deal with any possible insurgencies in the future. A select few are chosen to be a part and are immediately sent to investigate a disturbance in Scotland where they come across a rowdy band of Scotsmen who slaughtered a NEG patrol in the ruins of Edinburgh. The situation is diffused peacefully, as the bodies of the slain are collected to be sent to their loved ones/families in Megacity 2 for some closure. Along with this, SECOM sets out a public initiative to try to win over public trust, or at least get them to acknowledge them. Large broadcast screens show advertisements of SECOM that explain their services to the city and their role to play in the future. SECOM operatives tag alongside NEG patrols within the Megacity, occasionally helping give directions to those who require it. With tensions constantly brewing between regular citizens and collaborationist citizens, SECOM deems it necessary to patrol Collaborator districts to ensure no trouble occurs to the loyalists residing within. Along with this, Tesla himself travels to several of the megacities to recruit collaborators with experience in neuroscience and robotics, bringing an additional 5 staff on board. Tesla also brings forth several of his designs he had previously concocted before his meeting with the High Council and upgraded "Adam" to a new chassis, rendering him ready for service. A small production facility housed within the "Basilica" is also started in order to start small scale production of autonomous units that would conduct basic services throughout the Basilica, such as cleaning, assisting scientists, and waste disposal.
Laboratory and Industrial Assistant Model Version 1 (LIAM)
Within a couple days, several LIAM models are operational and walking throughout the facility, conducting their pre-programmed tasks in their firmware. By the end of the week, a distress call is received by the Basilica from an NEG patrol in the tunnels... Adam is sent by Dr. Tesla to investigate, and arrives to find several bodies on the ground, dead. A firefight had ensued. One of the bodies was Bratva with the others being NEG troops. Taking along a small patrol of NEG grunts with him, Adam follows heat signatures into the wilderness outside of the megacity. An ambush awaits as they are fired upon after being tricked into taking down one of the Bratva members left as bait. Two are killed when a firefight ensues, which in turn attracts a skineater to chase the NEG patrol. Adam faces off against it, resulting in his arm being ripped off, but scaring off the monster with a fire grenade. In all his magni- wait, something’s happening…” “BOMB! EVERYONE EVACU-” -End of transmission
With the festivities cut short with a large bomb going off in the Grand Plaza, the city is put on high alert as dozens are killed with hundreds wounded. None of the Tian family were harmed. Dozens of arrests are made, but none are connected to the bombing as the group that calls themselves “The Golden Dawn” claims responsibility for the attack in a public message involving the execution of an NEG captain they had kidnapped on live feeds. How they managed to gain access to broadcasting frequencies is still unknown. Multiple living blocks have been raided by NEG shock troops, and arrests have been made, but no connections to the Golden Dawn have yet been revealed. He finds several ex-GPI members willing to join the organization, as well as some new blood, bolstering to organization to a respectable start of 15 total. Newly developed SNITCH drones are also deployed onto the streets to bolster security and surveillance in the Megacity. Along with this, the new GPI looks to improve their equipment with what little funding is available. A deal is struck with one of the local prisons, and several prisoners are seen being moved into the GPI facility, however the purpose of this is unclear to most. One wonders what’s going on there. With what little funding remains for the quarter, the GPI orders some new weaponry for use by GPI agents in the field, and several small gauss rifles are put into circulation. From there, he recruits collaborators with knowledge of economics and who are in general good with counting. The membership swells to 30 and the offices are filled with office workers who immediately set about working on numbers and accounts. Following orders from the Universal Collective, Nassim King visits the Megacity 9 metalworks and learns of falling production numbers due to a shortage of raw materials. After investigating the books, Nassim finds that several convoys of raw materials being shipped from mines outside of the Megacity have gone missing over recent weeks. The cause is unknown at this time.

Josh pls
Sorry I'm so late with finishing the turn! I've been really busy but this is not dead!!
No collaborator turns therefore the Resistance won. Xenos ded.
No collaborator turns therefore the Resistance won. Xenos ded.
Damn xenos are screwing with my internet, preventing the turn from finishing :( (i'm finishing up the turn, will be out next week (ish?))
I am aiming for hard deadline of Saturday night this week. I have updated the player list with those that have dropped out.

Still here, patiently waiting for the collaborator update. Also didn't "rage quit" anything. Bread removed me from discord and I'm working too many hours at work (75/wk) to care enough to rejoin.

I have updated the turn with Siberian Correctional Machineworks, SECOM, and Basilica of the Reclaimer. All the other will be out tonight as well. Stay tuned! [editline]21st October 2017[/editline] Added Tian and Resistenzo Italiano. GPI and Global Supply Consortium are on their way
Neat
Updated GPI and Global Supply Consortium. And with that, Turn 1 is FINALLY complete!
Let's churn out those turn boyos.
