-snip- I fixed it. It also seems friend lists in game have reset. Remember to add each other again.
There's also no Lockette as well, so uh. Yeah.
I may have forgotten to re-add the plugins, oops. I've added them now
I may have forgotten to re-add the plugins, oops. I've added them now
Might have a biiit of a problem with the chest lock plugin. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Kva0WOA.png[/t] This is locked to the wall and it's attached to no one, so I can't remove it, and I also can't remove the wall block either. Edit - fixed it.
~Snip~ Nevermind
decided to open a Mumble server on my personal VPS for you people. details are host: pred.me password: FriendlyPeopleOnly
Somehow fell out of the world entirely using a sleeping bag and died :/ [editline]19th March 2016[/editline] Yep, there goes all my stuff [editline]19th March 2016[/editline] Seems that sleeping in a sleeping bag past y128 throws you into y-128 and drops you on from there. Guess that scraps my plans for a mountaintop home near the city.
Actually if you fall into the void, your grave moves to the nearest open tile with a floor, so it's near the chunk you died in.
Guess i'm gonna have to quarry once I get back home.
Guess i'm gonna have to quarry once I get back home.
Be sure to keep an eye on it so that once the gravestone breaks your items don't either despawn or get eaten by lava.
im feelin in the miceraft mood. IGN: Gazzy
Jejunum, do you think it'd be possible to move your new warehouse? it clashed a little with my place, had some plans for that open space for the future :(
I think I'll give this a shot when I get on my computer later. IGN: CountryLizard
Servers down btw.
my VPS provider won't host my VPS for much longer I think. I just got another forced shut down due to using more than I'm allowed to. if you guys know of any ways to somehow reduce the CPU usage of an FTB Infinity server, then I'd love to know. meanwhile I'll go find a new provider
I've personally lost the initial enthusiasm to continue playing Minecraft. Studies and homework are eating up more and more time, so my progress in-game is extremely limited to the point of being futile. I bequeath the contents of my grave to whoever can be bothered to find it. It's directly under the unfinished glacier home near the city somewhere, at the nearest open space above bedrock. When the server stops timing me out, i'll empty out what's currently in my inventory as well into the warehouse. Unless they already stop if the player they're tied to isn't logged in.

Also no quarries, because those cause massive hikes in usage, the only ones that are designed to be used and not cause the hikes in usage would be stuff like the Ender quarries. You could also try something like this, though I'm not entirely sure if this information is outdated or not. http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/125849/ftb-ultimate-server-constantly-giving-cant-keep-up-errors [editline]edit[/editline] Also with how land has been generated already, we should probably stop people going out to far, because generating more land is only putting more stress on the server... I think, again I ain't an expert on servers.
I decided to switch to a dedicated box from a VPS. still waiting to get my ID verified by the provider before they'll switch it on. this might mean a general increase in performance as well. new box has 4 cores (Intel Xeon E3 1225v2) I can use fully from having 4 shared cores on an unspecified Xeon E3. I was only allowed to use 1 core fully 100% of the time with short term spikes in CPU usage beyond that being okay. new box also sits on 16GB of memory compared to the current 4GB. unfortunately the bandwidth is slower (250mbps from 1gbps) but I don't think it'll make much of a difference. should be more stable in general. goodbye 118$, it was good knowing you.
mc.pred.me will stop working very soon but the server will remain open for a while longer. use the IP instead of the domain until the new box is ready
unfortunately the bandwidth is slower (250mbps from 1gbps) but I don't think it'll make much of a difference.
Not unless you have hundreds of concurrent players.
server is coming back up on the new box! [editline]22nd March 2016[/editline] IP might be important to add, heh. DNS change has kicked in I believe, if not, clear your DNS cache. if no go, IP is 94.23.28.195
Server has been frozen for a while.
Seems that when ever I try to connect I time out. Not sure if it is a problem on my end or not.
Same here.
Well, I was able to get in, get out of the nether, then timed out while transporting through the book to the City. Could it be something in the City doing weird shit?
rip server
Is pred still among the living?
been at a friends place the last two days, on my way home now. server will be back up soonish
Server keeps breaking when people join (this time mastfire joined and everything froze) there is probably something on a chunk that gets loaded that constantly breaks the server.
Server keeps breaking when people join (this time mastfire joined and everything froze) there is probably something on a chunk that gets loaded that constantly breaks the server.
seems like there is something in the city that bothers the server. I have experienced that the server will time you out right after a restart as well. I'll look into that opis mod soonish, maybe it'll help me figure out if it's true that something in a chunk is doing bad things
