Expert mode is headache inducing at times

There needs to be a /home command with a big cool down for those times where you get stuck in someone elses claimed chunk and can't get out. I can't play now because of this.

servers been a lot on and off the past few hours, but it's over now. finished up a script to automate server restarts as well as backups. the latter is quite important as both servers are now on RAM disks! I tried flying around and chunks load instantly. cool!

I haven't really had time to play on the server yet, but I do want to at some point, perhaps like me, people would have more time once summer hits and could perhaps do a bit of a relaunch?

the normal server has been killed off but the expert server remains. however, the world has been reset. the links for the old worlds are not in the OP just yet but by the time you read this then they're probably there. me and Anonymous90210 have settled around the lake at X -480 Y -397. come build with us there!

I enjoyed expert, but my only real gripe with it is that progression is confusing as fuck if you aren't in with all the mods it uses.

I could link a rough progression guide in the OP so people have something to check their progress against

There is also an in game guide for the progression where it divides it into either magic or tech, it's barebones but it helps give new players somewhere to start at least. My biggest problem is not the progression tree but the increased amount of resources you need for everything it gets very tedious later on.

Going to start playing again (I think). Also, just a friendly reminder, sentry guns (portal) are liable to randomly despawn despite not being supposed to. I've had it happen a few times. ---- How to go full on hardcore in expert: Play with lag and regular time outs so regular that you have no reasonable hope of killing mobs. 'Gotta have the machines do all the killing for you.

So here's a weird issue, for some reason I can't sleep in a bed above block height Y127, and I'm building my stuff at Y148. When I enter the bed, my body instantly moves to Y-115 or more depending on how close I am to Y127 for a split second and I take two hearts of damage and get kicked out of it. I tried placing the bed on hovering blocks but that didn't change anything. Afromana tried the bed and he had no issues.

Having to ration my cellular data until fiber internet gets installed, hence my absence. Are there any finished goods that people need in bulk? I'm obsessed with building factories to make shit for people and currently I don't have anything to make. While writing this I thought of making chips and what not since said processors/chips seem to be needed for a lot of crap. Also, I've been told people will need mass uranium but as of right now I can't produce uranium related goods so... ya. edit: Jejunum what the fuck? I also wasted like, 50% of my cellular data last week building a bunch of shit (including the factory) since using my internet is borderline impossible and my progress was just plain awful without it (the data). I left for a week because I didn't want to eat the rest of it up.
