Just 2 and a half more turns to go. The last three players I have to work on are interconnected in a big way this turn, which is what is taking some time to organize properly and fairly. In the meantime, have a map of...well, I wouldn't necessarily call it "alliances", but some of these are pretty much allied. Call it a map of regional ties, maybe? A number of bills are passed to organize the expansion of the ever-growing port city. A grid plan is laid out while tax breaks on lumber shipments and expansion of marble and limestone quarries provide materials needed for future construction. -Hoping to peacefully expand westward, President Hamilton travels to Philadelphia to discuss the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's and Republic of New York's shared interest in the Northwest Territories. The talks end fruitfully with New York recognizing Pennsylvania's claims over the Ohio region while President Milfflin recognizes New York's interest in the Michigan region. -A month later, President Hamilton travels once again, to Trenton, New Jersey. There, he enter talks of economic cooperation and military security with the presidents of NJ and PA. The Treaty of Trenton is signed, with all three agreeing to a mutual defense of one another as well as coordinated colonization westward. -The National Assembly in the early summer of 1792 formally abolishes the institute of slavery within its borders, giving freedom to some twelve thousand Negroes in the republic. While the vast majority of the populace agree with the move, they also have no issue importing cotton and tobacco derived from slave labor in the southern republics. -Wanting to formally organize the training of the Catskill Sharpshooter regiments, General Philip Schuyler commissions the construction of a fort in the wilderness of Northern New York as a place of training. Many of the Iroquois warriors that were aiding in the training of these men are formally incorporated into the regiments and thus the Army of New York, where they continue to use the fort as a training ground as much as a defensive locale for the northern part of the country. -To make it clear to all Albany's desire over the Michigan region of the Northwest Territories, President Hamilton orders a detachment of soldiers to accompany the New York Great Lakes Trade Company in its building of trade settlements along the Lake Erie coast. -A financial offering is made to the colonial government in Canada for Fort Detroit in the Michigan region in return for a large sum of money from the New York treasury. The offer is given careful consideration, and though technically the British should have evacuated the American territory long ago, they take the money and order a withdraw from the fortifications across the river. -With New York City growing, and many potential resource exploits expanding throughout the Republic, a number of advertisements to northern Europeans are spread in hopes of encouraging immigration. As continental war spreads from France, moving to the Republic of NY seems like a healthy choice for many from the Germanies and Dutch countryside. -The brigs NYS Orange and NYS Holland make their maiden voyage in the early year, joining the sloop-o-war NYS Hudson. Admiral Jones is happy and eager with the deployment, as they sail in time that news of Connecticut's issue of letters of marque against Pennsylvania shipping arrive.

Commonwealth of Massachusetts - Griffster26 President: Samuel Adams Capital: Boston Largest City: Boston Dominant Religion: Anglican Puritan -With Haitian rebels quickly seizing much of the former French colony, due to the ferocity of the uprising and the use of Massachusetts guns, Boston enters talks with Paris over the independence of Haiti, which France begrudgingly gives as it is preoccupied with war in Europe. However, the treaty is announced too late before a joint British and Spanish fleet is dispatched to conquer the island for fear of rebellion spreading among their slaves. -A complimentary bill is passed in Boston in regards to the Welfare of the Impoverished Act, which permits the use of public money to fund hospitals throughout the commonwealth. -As the year passes, President John Hancock decides to resign his post due to health concerns. He appoints Samuel Adams as his successor to continue his policies. -While Samuel Adams takes office, a number of opposition members of the Assembly, lead by Increase Sumner, create the New England Federalist Party, calling against relations with revolutionary France and closer relations with England. In response, President Adams forms the Republican Party of Massachusetts to organize politics in the National Assembly to grow closer to France. -President Hancock's final days in office oversees the launching of the Massachusetts Navy's first Frigate, the C.M.S. Mayflower, a large 44-gun ship with the addition of deck-puckle guns. -Though the Republican Party control the office of president, the Federalist Party pushes through a major win early in Adam's administration with trade treaty with London. -In regard to revolutions brewing across the western world, President Adams pushes through the formation of the Army of Massachusetts which is easily passed with bipartisan support. The army is organized into several units and offers heavy training for its volunteers. -The Republic of New Hampshire, also creating two regiments of a standardized army, has its units in practice marches with its neighbor on the Maine-Hampshire border as a show of friendship and alliance. -A delegation is sent to Hartford, Connecticut to improve relations between the two New England republics, but Boston receives word that Connecticut has requested Massachusetts to issue letters of marque against Pennsylvania in return for bettering relations, a deal that could sour trade with the American republics' second largest trading port. Discussion over the best course of action is debated into the new year in the National Assembly.

Commonwealth of Virginia - Joshuadim President: Patrick Henry Capital:Richmond Largest City: Williamsburg Dominant Religion: Baptist -The beginning of the year in Virginia opens with President Henry's push for a Virginia Bill of Rights for its citizens. With help from James Madison, the House of Burgess passes such an act, guaranteeing the rights of Free Speech, the Right to Petition, the Right to Free Press, the Right to own Property, the Right to a Fair Trial, the Right to Fair Bail, the Right to Refuse Boarding of Soldiers, and the Right to Refuse Unlawful Search and Seizures. -Western Virginia sees economic growth as a number of coal and mineral mines open in the mountains, almost balancing the country's economy on both mineral and agricultural industries. These resources are directed toward Virginia's growing textile industry that develops on the coastal region of the commonwealth. -To help ease the tax burden on everyone, Richmond passes the "Virginia National Lottery Act", which implements a 6 month lottery game much like the Republic of North Carolina. Participation is encouraged with cash prizes, while the government is expected to receive a good amount of revenue from the game. -Though Virginia's domestic textile industry is blooming, it still cannot match the steam of mills in the northern American republics. With this in mind, trade deals are made with Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts to export cotton and tobacco for their factories. Hoping to expand further their exports, Virginia gains a license to trade with New Spain, as well as with the Netherlands. Talks with France are cut short due to their chaotic revolutionary government and the continental war in Europe. An influx of Spanish leather and Dutch spices soon arrive at Virginia ports. -As war breaks out between the most southern American republics, President Henry remains staunch on his direction of independence of Virginia in such matters and chooses to remain neutral between Georgia and the Cherokee. However, as a token of support, a group of Hessian mercenaries are sent from Richmond to North Carolina to give at least moral support in the war. -Contesting Pennsylvania's expansion into the Ohio, as well as New York's recognizing the Keystone Republic's claims, Patrick Henry orders the construction of a fortification along the Ohio, west of Pittsburgh. Naming it "Fort Jefferson", it looms over the Ohio river, threatening all barges and trade coming out from the north. -As tensions grow between the Commonwealths of Pennsylvania and Virginia, an expansion of the Virginia navy is ordered. While the brigs V.C.S. Thomas Jefferson and the V.C.S. Richard Henry Lee set sail for the first time, they are quickly joined by four coastal cutters, V.C.S. Pocahontas, V.C.S. Patrick Henry, V.C.S. Steadfast, and V.C.S. James Madison. -To help expedite the construction of the 38-gun frigate the V.C.S. George Washington, local negro slaves are rented from their owners. This helps the George Washington set sail six months early, while any property damage the slave owners endure are promptly compensated. By the end of the year, two sloops-o-war, the V.C.S. George Mason and V.C.S. John Smith, are laid hoping to be finished soon, along with the first American battleship, dubbed the V.C.S. Endurance, expected to be complete by 1796, if not sooner.

Republic of North Carolina - Jsoldier President: Alexander Martin Capital: Raleigh Largest City: New Bern Dominant Religion: Baptist -The North Carolina National Assembly moves into its new home of Raleigh in mid march, cementing it as the nation's new capital. From there, it passes a bill to adopt the metric system instead of the imperial system of measurement much like revolutionary France. While the every day citizen still uses imperial, the North Carolinain military transitions to metric and uses it to build armament stations with standardized sizes of rounds and powder. -Fleeing from his wartorn homeland of France, Honoré Blanc settles in North Carolina after being offered a commission in the Carolinain army as an armament engineer. -Hoping to expand the banking industry in the southern American Republics, limited liability companies are legalized throughout the country while the New Bern Stock Exchange is commissioned in the early summer. -Knowing some of its citizens remain in Cherokee territory in the aftermath of the Cherokee-Franklinite War, a trade is set up between Raleigh and Cutonuga where negro slaves from North Carolina are given in exchange for white citizens of North Carolina. The slaves are purchased at markets at full price so to compensate their previous owners. -The University of North Carolina is completed in the early summer of 1792 in Raleigh, much to the delight of President Martin. -In early autumn, the Cherokee declare war on Georgia in hopes of unifying its southern lands. North Carolina is called on to support them, which President Martin agrees to. Assistance is asked from Spain, Virginia, and South Carolina, though only Virginia answers the call with a token force of Hessian mercenaries. Spain, too preoccupied with war in Europe and its loss of western Florida chooses to remain neutral. The Republic of South Carolina, remaining on friendly terms with Georgia, chooses to remain semi-neutral, refusing to send its militias southward, but permitting North Carolinain regiments to march through its territory to attack. -Early in the year, the sloops-o-war NCS Raleigh and NCS New Bern have their maiden voyage. When war breaks out, both are ordered to blockade the port of Savannah, Georgia. While sailing along the American coast, they are met by four fresh Georgian cutters. The ensuing naval battle lasted an hour and a half, with two Georgian cutters sunk and another heavily crippled. The NCS New Bern takes the brunt of the damage in the battle, becoming almost unsavalgable while the NCS Raleigh exits almost unscathed. With one ship heavily damaged, they are unable to successfully blockade the port and both navies return to port with their damaged ships towed. Despite the failure of the mission, the battle is hailed as a victory in the papers with two enemy ships sunk at no complete loss to North Carolina. -Regiments of the North Carolina Army march through northern South Carolina to attack Georgia's eastern half in a prong-attack with Cherokee raids to the west. The army easily captures several towns in the undefended north by the end of the year, but have not yet encountered the formal Army of Georgia yet.

Republic of Georgia - Ruskie v2.0 President: George Walton Capital: Louisville Largest City: Savannah Dominant Religion: Baptist -President Walton begins the new year of 1792 with an address to the nation of Georgia published in newspapers. In it, he condemns the Spanish 'massacre' of Pensacola and those within the Republic of Georgia that may be sympathetic to the Spanish south of the country. When these papers make their way to Pensacola, it reignites the revolutionary fervor in the city, and the English-speaking population once again rise up against its Spanish rulers. It storms the fort and quickly captures the governor and the Spanish regiment. -With the "Commonwealth of West Florida" declared, President Elias Durnford travels to Louisville and secures Georgian recognition of the small American republic on its southern border. -To aid in its postal service, as well as help build the defensive network of the Republic, President Walton signs off the "Highway Infrastructure Act", expanding roads throughout the major towns and cities of Georgia, as well as begin construction of blockhouses among the plantations and mines in the state. -Wealthy members of the Savannah Golf Club form a 'charitable investment fund', where donations are put together toward financial endeavors the members find noteworthy. One such proposal, by John Sevier, is the construction of a Georgian steel industry and he quickly finds funds to begin construction of the south's first major blast furnace. -A revolutionary new device, the 'cotton gin', is built by a Massachusetts man living in Georgia named Eli Whitney. He quickly finds funds from the Charitable Investment Fund to finance production of his gin in Georgia, which is believed to exponentially grow the cotton industry in the southern American republics. -Impressed by the uniform choices of the Army of New York, the military of Georgia adopt a similar brown-green dress for its servicemen, with colors more akin to the flora of its southern region. -While the 1st Georgia and 2nd Georgia remain the backbone of the Georgian military, a third regiment is commissioned as a recon and skirmish outfit. Recruiting woodsmen and those that have lived among the Indians, the regiment is designed as a scout-and-raid unit for Georgia. -Early in the year, four cutters are built to protect the Georgian coast and its shipping. They are the first of the Georgian military to encounter combat when war breaks out with the Cherokee Nation and North Carolina. When two NCS sloops are spotted along the coast, the cutters are deployed from Savannah. They encounter the sloops off the South Carolinain border and a short hour and a half naval battle ensues. Two of the cutters sink during combat, with another heavily damaged. However, the enemy North Carolinain ships are deterred. While the remaining cutter tows its fellow survivor back to port, the battle is considered a success, if not a win for Georgia, keeping the enemy from its coasts, at least for now. -Cherokee raiding parties cut deep into northern Georgia throughout the late autumn, attacking storehouses of food and ambushing militias of smaller settlements. Georgia's main economic lifeblood, the cotton plantations, mostly survive the raids thanks to the blockhouses commissioned earlier in the year. By December, the 1st Georgia is ordered to march northward to confont the Cherokee head on. -Just completing its embassy in South Carolina, President Walton is depressed with news of Georgia's neighbor allowing North Carolinain troops to march through its territory, allowing it to capture a few major towns in the north. Though he is thankful, at the least, that Georgian-South Carolinain relations have not faltered to the point of full declaration of war. -Keeping its relations with Georgia strong, West Florida declares war on the Cherokee Nation and North Carolina, though without a formal military and a small population, it is a token effort as only a small militia force is sent to combat Georgia's enemies. With its southern border secure with West Florida, General Anthoney "Mad" Wayne is remains eager to await his orders for the 2nd Georgia for the next year. Books, made from captured printing presses, are made 24/7 in the capital in order to spread the Cherokee culture and unify the people. -To the amusement of the Cherokee but to the horror of its white neighbors, former negro slaves of the Republic of North Carolina are given lands in the mountains once owned by white Franklinites. The white populace in turn is granted serfdom to the Negros masters who swear allegiance to the Cherokee Nation. -While most captured whites are pushed into hard labor of farming, a few escape the hard work and gain some privilege among people of their color by their learned skills. As the Cherokee Nation hopes to modernize itself, white serfs who know smithing, tailoring, and other trade skills are used to teach the Cherokee their craft. -With the eastern border secured and a strong Virginian fortifications in the north, the Cherokee turn southward first for an easier route to unifying their lands and declare war on the Republic of Georgia in the early autumn of 1792. -A number of war parties are sent to raid Georgia's ill-defended northern region, using the same strategy that had decimated the Franklinites by attacking foodstores and livestock to starve white settlements out. Towns are not attacked directly, while clashes against the militias are often made as they draw out of the settlements to give chase. The Cherokee raiders make attempts on several large plantations throughout the fall, though most are pushed back due to Georgian fortifications made earlier in the year. -Though the Cherokee remain on the offensive in Georgia into the end of the year, a defensive line of warrior camps are made in the mountains to prevent counterattacks into the Cherokee heartland. -Most of the attacks and raids are quick and sudden, as the Cherokee utilize horses, both bred and stolen, to help their warriors go far into Georgia's territory. To help formalize the warriors into a coherent army, the Grand Council designs a "war outfit", the first military uniform among the Indians of the Americas. -The Spanish and Republic of North Carolina are asked to join the conflict against Georgia, but only the North Carolinains come to the call, as Spain's loss of Pensacola leaves them at a strategic disadvantage in what they already consider a backwater territory of their empire, as well as war in Europe being their primary focus.

Courtenay and Sons Land Company - Pezgod1 Chairmen: Henry Courtenay Company Office: Richmond, Virginia Major Area of Settlement: Northern most tip of the Mississippi River, "Règlement sur le Fleuve" Colonists: 1,074 total, 0 slaves (0%) -Much like the previous year, Henry Courtenay spends the winter and early spring campaigning for volunteers to colonize his claim. A number of flyers are put throughout the city of New York, attracting a plethora of men and women to traverse the frontier to the Mississippi. -A large number of volunteers from New York are federalist veterans of the American revolution, disappointed with the dissolution of the United States, seek a new life far from the American Republics. Their military experience helps the Courtenay colony form the first official militia, which helps protect the fort as the contract with the Hessian mercenaries draws to expiration. -Henry Courtenay's third and eighth sons sail to France early in the year to attract more of their countrymen to the new colony. While they are able to make a deal with the crown, the revolutionary sweeping of King Louis XVI stalls all talks. However, the Courtenays find that fear of murder and execution attracts a number of French nobility to flee to Americas even if they are only able to take their lives with them and nothing more. -As the colony grows, Henry Courtenay's second son is named governor-administrator of the colony. -The eldest Courtenay son, still in Quebec, petitions the colonial government for sale of land around Fort Detriot for the purpose of exploiting its potential lumber. While the offer is generous, the British turn in favor to an offer by the Republic of New York for the fort itself for a much larger sum. -With a growing influx of anglophone and francophone colonists, the first school is built near Fort Courtenay to help teach children - as well as adults - the two languages of the colony. -Life becomes difficult for the former French nobles that make it to the claim. Inexperienced with outdoor and impoverished life, they often come to dispute with American colonists over a number of pointless issues. One such issue is the potential homosexual implications of the name "Courtenayville", which the governor begrudgingly renames the colony Règlement sur le Fleuve, or Règlement for short. -Contact with the Ojibwe Indian tribe is made in the summer of 1792. Remembering their long friendship with the French going back to the Seven Years War, a treaty of Peace and Friendship is signed between Règlement and the local tribes for pelt trade and protection from other Indians, most notably the Ojibwe's enemy the Souix. -While many furs and pelts make their way to New York City via the Great Lakes, a number of barges make their way down the Mississippi and through the Cherokee Nation to the Republic of North Carolina. With trade flowing through the region, both the Cherokee and North Carolinains benefit financially from the products of Règlement. -Hoping to ease tension between the growing number of freedmen living in Règlement, the Governor Courtenay issues an order of emancipation of the 19 slaves residing in the colony. To ease the burden on their former owners, they are compensated out of the coffers of Courtenay and Sons Co. -Though the major profit of the company is land speculation of the upper Mississippi river, a contract with the Republic of New York helps Courtenay & Sons' coffers fill up by the employment of surveyors and trackers in the Michigan region of the Northwest Territories.

Country name: Colonia Quercus cerrorum Tree name: Stefane Location: "Somewhere outside British Fort Detroit" in Northwest Territories Dominant Religion: Naturalism of the Arborist kind -A treety is made between Stefane and the local spruces to share the number of squirrels in the area to spread their seeds equally. Seeds spread the previous year begin to sprout across the area, with a number of baby groots coming up. -Contact with other local fauna is made between the great oak and some local wolves, as they share a bark. -Beyond these things, Stefane remains stumped on what else to do. A nations an animal, that's trying to survive It's struggling, and fighting just to keep itself alive
I posted this on Discord, but I'll repeat it here to keep everyone informed: How Naval Combat Is Done Each ship will be one six sided die rolled (1d6). Depending on the tier/size of the ship, it will get bonus ability scores during combat as follows: Cutter: -1 Sloop: 0 (the base roll) Brig: +1 Frigate: +2 Battleship: +3 For example, a cutter fighting a sloop rolls a 4. It gets a -1 score, so the total for the cutter is a 3. The sloop rolls a 4, with no bonus, being the base roll. The naval fight is then 3 vs 4, sloop victory. I have not decided if I should make low rolls vs high rolls mean a ship is sunk or just badly damaged yet. I could make it where there are two rounds of fighting and if a ship rolls low twice, it's sunk, but we can discuss this process further in the thread. Especially since there is a fair sized war erupting in the RP.
I have Damian's turn and Virginia's, need everyone else's still.
I still only have two turns in.
sending mine, sorry lad

Great news, I have everyone's but Georgia and Massachusetts
I have everyone's turn except for Georgia. Which is kind of an issue, because as many of you know, Georgia is crucial to majority of your turns. According to his profile page, Ruski unfortunately has not been on Facepunch for at least two weeks now. So while it's going to be tough writing the turn without him, I don't want to postpone writing until he finally comes back. So I'm going to give him until this coming Monday to send in a turn or get online or make contact in some form or way before I start writing without him.
Hey guys, sorry to hold up the game! I've been mad busy recently and haven't been checking in as much as I usually would [sp]I didn't totally forget I swear[/sp]
Any update on this?
Still only a little bit done. Had a busy weekend doing wedding planning with my fiance. I'll have more time to work on it during this week, hoping to get it done by Friday.
No rush, take ur time Good luck with the wedding!
Too much irl shit keeps getting in my way, I don't know when it's going to get finished.
Any update on this?
I've had a super busy past few weeks (thus why I nearly missed the deadline for turns for other RPs even) due to heavy work at my job and personal stuff (my father has become ill, but he's going to be okay in the long run). I admit I become a bit deterred from finishing the turn due to fear that no one will send theirs in after this is posted because I've postponed it for so long. But honestly I feel as if that's a more proper death for an RP than the GM ending it. We will see when I finally get it posted. [editline]23rd May 2017[/editline] I've got about little under half done. I feel too committed to what's already written to give up on it entirely, so don't fear that.
I'll keep playing if everyone else does [editline]23rd May 2017[/editline] and sorry to hear all those things mang
The hiatus is coming to an end soon. I've spent a lot of my time at work, since we've become exceptionally understaffed, but we're slowly getting new hires in and how long I spend at work is shrinking. Hoping Turn 4 will be done some time this week or next.
Rereading the turns, I had forgotten that Sobotnik always adds images to help get his point across for his turns: Domestic affairs: Foreign affairs: Military affairs: :v:
Truly the pinnacle of Native Indian civilization.
3 turns left to write, and they're all intertwined so I'll be writing them all at the same time (here's a hint, Georgia is one of them) :v: Hoping the ETA will be this Friday or Saturday, if not sooner.

Partly paid by the New York government, but also through a number of wealthy, private investors, the construction of the museum begins immediately and goes on throughout the year. Before the building is even halfway completed though, the scientific leaders of the museum already plan out expeditions for displays. One such expedition involves cooperation with their English counterparts in Canada, to find the possibly mythical Northwest Passage. -As the winter snows thaw, surveyors are commissioned to map out the Hudson river and its tributaries, with the intent of discovering the most close and feasible location for a possible canal between Lake Erie and the river. If discovered and constructed, its believed to be able to reroute all the wealth sailing up through Canada straight down into New York City. -To help further consolidate NYC as the industrial heart of the state, a few steel mills are constructed on Long Island where it is hoped the manufacturing of various steel tools for ships and shipbuilding will help the local economy. -Trying something new, ranchers in the western side of the Republic try their hand at raising bison instead of cows for beef. Though the animals tend to be more aggressive and stronger, these "buffalowboys" as outsiders call them, remain intent on corralling them simply with stronger fencing and braver horses. -As the wheels for these economic plans are put in motion, President Alexander Hamilton and the government swing toward beyond the borders of the Republic in the early summer. After hearing the pleas of a delegation from Georgia for intervention on their behalf, and hearing news of Virginia's acceptance of intervention and invasion of North Carolina, President Hamilton orders the navy to the Carolinas to blockade them. -While the fleet departs NYC, they sail past the New Jersey coast where, under the Treaty of Trenton, Albany has commissioned the Republic of New Jersey to construct more ships on their behalf. Three brigs, the NYS Oneida, NYS Cayuga, and NYS Mohawk are laid and expected to set sail in 1795. Two frigates, the NYS Seneca and NYS Tuscarora are laid and expected to have sea trials in 1796, and a large 54-gun battleship named the NYS Kingston begins construction, expected to dominate the seas in 1797. -Just as the Republic of New York's naval power strengthens, President Hamilton seeks in turn strengthen the land forces of New York. Hoping to make the new Army of New York uniforms pragmatic, helmets, resembling those of musketeers in the previous century are commissioned for infantry. While made from heavy steel from Manhattan mills, the troops appreciate the protection and the fact that it's completely out of government expenses and not their own pay. -With the army equipped and trained, Hamilton begins to make demands from the Vermont Republic over border issues between the two states. President Thomas Chittenden, vowing to keep Vermont's integrity solid, refuses any and all demands from Albany. As a result, under the cover of darkness, the A.N.Y. take a plethora of canoes and boats and paddle across Lake Champlain in a surprise invasion of Vermont. Quickly, the city of Burlington is captured without a shot fired before the Vermontans can react, thanks to the help of the Catskill Brigade scouting in the early fall. Two weeks later, the army marches southward to the heart of Vermont to capture the capital of Monteplier. The siege lasts less than a day, with the Vermont militias putting up only a nominal fight, but its just enough to allow the President of Vermont and majority of the government time to flee to southward to Westminster. Vowing to not end Vermont's independence in the city where it was declared, President Chittenden ends the year sending messengers to the rest of New England's republics calling them to aid, though no answer is given yet by the end of December. -As the navy blockades the Carolinas and the army invents upper Vermont, a stern warning is sent to Connecticut to cease their issues of marque against Pennsylvania. The government in Hartford quickly agrees, citing that the Ohio lands were probably never to be regained anyway and retract all letters of marque, declaring henceforth that any Connecticut ship attacking Pennsylvania shipping is acting in its own accord as an act of piracy. -Though war among the American Republics escalate throughout the continent, New York works on peace with the Amerindians westward. Traders in the New York colony in the Northwest Territories set out to make ties with various tribes on the peninsula, encouraging them to work closely with the colonists. In particular, an delegation is sent to the Potawatomi to encourage friendship with them. Knowing that their ally the Ojibwe are on good terms with New York's ally of the Règlement colony, they quickly agree to a friendship. Most other tribes in the area follow suit, though remain wary given the war between the Miami and Republic of Pennsylvania southward.

Commonwealth of Massachusetts - Griffster26 President: Samuel Adams Capital: Boston Largest City: Boston Dominant Religion: Anglican Puritan -In concert with its western neighbor New York, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts declares war on North Carolina and the Cherokee Nation. The C.M.S. Mayflower is sent to Georgian waters to help blockade runners through the potential gauntlet of Carolinain ships. -Now entering its first ever war on its own, President Adams realizes the need of a much larger navy and commissions the construction of three 40-gun frigates and a 54-gun battleship. The frigates are estimated to be finished by 1796 while the battleship should set sail by 1797. -Though war is on the newspapers everywhere in Boston, President Adams still uses the tools of diplomacy to accomplish things. He sends his cousin John Adams to lead a Massachusetts delegation to Bermuda where they, along with the British and Spanish decide the fate of the former French colony of Saint-Domingue. -Talks over Saint-Domingue take a couple of months, with eventually the Spanish withdrawing from them due to fear of letting a slave rebellion loose in what is the heart of the Spanish colonial empire, but fear of their attack is nulled by their distraction with a war against France in March. Afterward, Massachusetts and Great Britain determine that the Republic of Hayti shall be formed with Toussaint Louverture named Supreme Protector, the head of state. Adams, Louverture, and the British delegation agree that Hayti may be a refuge for freed African slaves throughout the new world. -While the war against the Carolinas are majority naval, this frees the Commonwealth Army to send advisers to the Republic of Hayti to formally train a standing army there. -Former President John Hancock dies on October 8th, at the age of 56 due to failing health. President Adams decides to commemorate the first President of the Commonwealth by declaring the day a national holiday of Hancock Day. -The majority of the government's attention throughout the year is on events southward of the commonwealth, but a look westward is taken still for expansion in the future. An expedition of Massachusetts men sail through the Great Lakes by entry of the St. Lawrence River and make their way to a land unsettled by whites. A number of blockhouses are constructed along the coast, and the beginnings of a small colonial town is built, with the residents naming it Fort Hancock.

Commonwealth of Virginia - Joshuadim President: Patrick Henry Capital:Richmond Largest City: Williamsburg Dominant Religion: Baptist -For much of the early year, President Henry does his best to keep Virginia out of war and on neutral ground regarding Georgia, especially with his commonwealth's tension over Ohio with Pennsylvania. But as news of Cherokee atrocities, allies of North Carolina and enemy of Virginia, reaches the capital, a call to arms in aid of Georgia is protested in the streets. In April, the House of Burgesses votes unanimously to declare war on the Republic North Carolina and the Cherokee Nation. When the Republic of South Carolina enters the war formally on its northern sister's behalf, the declaration is extended to them as well. -By extension, Maryland and Delaware are requested to join the war effort, but being smaller states with less formalized armies, they decline for now unless Virginia's existence is threatened -The war is presented as saving the white man from the atrocities of the Indians, which is compounded by the slave uprising in Georgia. Vivid memories of the massacres in Hayti by slaves compel many men to enlist in to serve Virginia. -With North Carolina's largest forces in Georgia, its border with Virginia is expectedly defenseless and a large force of Virginians from the most populous American Republic march down into the Republic of North Carolina. The local militias are no match for the formal armies of Virginia and while some put up a decent skirmish, most either flee or surrender. By early summer, the Army of Virginia marches into Raleigh almost unopposed, with the North Carolinian government fleeing its brand new capital to its old of New Bern. -Hoping to capture President Martin and the rest of the North Carolinian government, orders are sent to have a portion of the army march to the coast and capture them along with New Bern, hoping to put an end to the war and liberate Georgia without going too far south. Though still unopposed save for against a few dedicated NC militias, the army marches on New Bern only to find the city half evacuated and President Martin fled. After occupying the city, officers discover North Carolina's use of the newly invented semaphore lines gave the city warning of their arrival. The NC navy as well has fled to open waters save for the NCS New Bern, a sloop, that was heavily damaged in the battle off the coast of Georgia the year prior, still in dry-dock. -As the summer fades into fall, the Army of Virginia halts its march across North Carolina and settles in for the winter and works to secure Raleigh and New Bern. Sandbags and fortifications are set up around the Carolinian capital with a number of heavily armed outposts built along the supply routes from Virginia. -With the war over land growing cold like the winter, the Virginian navy is set loose on the seas to hunt for the remaining North Carolinian ships. Throughout the end of the year, the oceans around North America are searched, though it is expected that the navy may have made port in South Carolina for safety as the Army marched on New Bern.

Republic of North Carolina - Jsoldier President: Alexander Martin Capital: Raleigh Largest City: New Bern Dominant Religion: Baptist -The Republic of North Carolina enters the year of 1794 with huge morale. The war against Georgia is expected to close soon, and relations with South Carolina are rising. This gives President Martin a chance to focus on domestic issues before the spring campaigns begin, ordering the construction of several watermills throughout the Republic to power armament factories. While construction of the mills begin, a plan to use quality control on the artillery and muskets that come out of production is made, testing both the materials and function used for each weapon. Major Honoré Blanc is given control over the finer details of testing. -Early in the year, the North Carolina Postal Service is made by the government. Impressed with the development of semaphore lines in France, the government builds a line of them from the major cities to expedite major and important news to the government and war effort. Little did the officials realize at the time how much these lines would personally save them later in the summer. -While only just invented, Eli Whitney's cotton gin spreads like wildfire through the plantations of the South. It was expected that the summer's harvests would triple or more in value with exports, but the suddenly occupation of Virginian forces throughout the Republic slows the movement of goods almost to a crawl, followed by the blockade of New York's navy of the ports. -To help connect with its allies, a number of canals, bridges, and roads are commissioned between the Cherokee Nation and the South Carolina Republic. When war breaks out with Virginia, however, many of these road projects are put on hold while others of direct military usefulness are expedited, namely ones connected to SC. -The shock of Virginia's declaration of war on them, soon followed by New York and Massachusetts, rattles President Martin and the government. The state legistature and the president manage to flee Raleigh at the last minute, hearing the sound of musket fire to the north of the city as they make their way to New Bern. From there, they settle only for a time to learn of the Virginian Army's march toward them yet again. The navy is ordered to set sail for South Carolina's ports while the government makes its way to Columbia. Once there, North and South Carolina's governments work in concert to unify their militaries to make a coherent force. -With the expectation of Georgia's army to attack, the North Carolinians in the far south construct a number of blockhouse fortifications around its occupied land in northern Georgia. To ensure victory, the best generals in the army are sent to lead them when spring arrives and is confronted by the forces of Georgian General 'Mad' Wayne of the 2nd Georgia Regiment. The early maneuvering and battles prove successful in repelling the Georgians, but as news of Virginia's invasion of the homeland reaches the men's ears, morale plummets. This gives Georgia's forces a chance to break through in a bloody Battle of Anderson in western South Carolina, amounting large losses on both sides but with a Georgian victory at the end. Despite this, the North Carolinians manage to maintain their occupation of northern Georgia by the end of the year, and given new hope with South Carolina's formal introduction into the war. -As the chaos of war continues throughout northern Georgia, a slave rebellion is fostered, creating havoc for both sides. Memories of the bloodbath in Hayti calls for both the Georgian and NC armies to put the revolt down, but it spreads regardless. By the end of the year, the rebellion is contained from growing further but the loose mob of violent Negroes remain a thorn to both side's armies.

Republic of Georgia - Ruskie v2.0 President: George Walton Capital: Louisville Largest City: Savannah Dominant Religion: Baptist -Georgia begins the year in dire straits, with the end of its independence seemingly imminent. President Walton offers to step down from office for the failures of the previous year, but the state house as well as protesters in the streets of the capital demand he stay in office showing full faith in his leadership. To add to this, a large number of the wealthiest Georgians in the republic donate large sums of their fortunes to the army and government to help repel the Cherokee and North Carolinian incursions. -Newspapers throughout the Republic praise the sacrifice of the Georgian fleet off the coast, noting a list of names of the lost sailors. The stories inspire Georgians to muster to militias or the formal army as General 'Mad' Wayne marches the Second Georgian Regiment northward to confront the Carolians. Finding North Carolina had fortified their positions in northern Georgia over the winter, the general orders a swing into their eastern flank charging through South Carolina who finally joins the war on North Carolina's behalf. Having heard news that Georgian diplomats had won the support of Virginia and New York, morale rises as they confront the North Carolinain Army with some local South Carolinian militias near the town of Anderson. The battle lasts most of the day with high losses on both sides, but the routing of the South Carolinan militias gives the 2nd Georgia an advance that results in the routing of the entire enemy forces and giving Georgia its first land victory. -As the Georgian Navy limps back to port, the government quickly orders the construction of two sloops to replace the two cutters lost and expects them to set sail by next year. Thankfully, the three frigates commissioned in 1791 are ready for launch. The Great Georgian Ship Herald makes for the open seas to protect the coastline, followed by the GGS Valiant and GGS McBoaty (lolrly) -In the western parts of the republic facing the Cherokee invasion, the 1st Georgian Regiment is ordered to confront the natives. The army marches to the frontier of the occupied lands and digs in to hold the ground. Cherokee warbands make skirmishes across the fortifications but orders to not pursue are held. Instead, the newly created Third Georgia Regiment composed of woodsmen, frontiersmen, and a few Indians, is ordered to engage the Cherokee. Their raids mimic their foe, leading to attacks on some Cherokee villages but most are found to be deserted with the Cherokee remaining defensive like the 1st Georgia. However when raiding parties from both sides find one another, the battles becoming exceptionally bloody with few survivors for the loser of every skirmish. -With a stalemate against the Cherokee going on with both sides remaining cautiously defensive, the Indians manage to subvert a slave rebellion behind the Georgian lines. The revolt spreads between Georgian and North Carolinian territories, with a number of slaves fleeing to Cherokee lands or elsewhere. With help from the small number West Floridian troops, the Negroes are contained in northern Georgia though a great deal remain armed and in revolt by the end of the year. Fears of what happened in Hayti happening in their backyards causes a number of plantation owners and other whites to hold their own properties under lock and key and northern Georgia becomes the site of many men, both white and negro, Georgian and North Carolinian, hanging from trees across the countryside. The history of Prussia's military prowess and growth from a small, insignificant territory into one of the major powers of the continent impress Tsiyu Gansini and he dedicates himself to learning how they did so. -With Prussia in mind, Tsiyu Gansini works with the Grand Council to standardize a number of things in the nation, namely formalizing a budget and education, which is used to spread the literacy rate of the new Cherokee alphabet. -Tsiyu Gansini sends out an ambassador of sorts to Berlin to request military advisers for the growing Amerindian state. With war on the horizon with France, it's decided that relieving even one officer to help a country in the backwaters of the world isn't a priority, however they welcome the ambassador to stay in Prussia for the duration of the war to "take notes". When he can return may be a while, though, depending on how quickly the French can be suppressed. -Despite being in a state of war, the First Beloved Man takes much time to focus on building up his country's economy to be on par with the American Republics. Using the whites in the nation as guides, workshops and mills are constructed, while advance techniques in gold mining are explained and taught to the Cherokee. As the year passes, gold flows easier into the coffers of the Cherokee state, allowing for the purchase of better weapons from North Carolina utilizing newly built roadways bilaterally built by both countries. -As the literacy rate compounds over time, by the end of the year a rudimentary postal service is built to service the largest villages and towns of the Cherokee. Utilizing this service, a newspaper is made. Issuing twice a month, it spreads news of the war with Georgia, as well as advice on farming techniques, poetry, and medicine much like almanacs in the neighboring republics. -Tsiyu Gansini's plan for war with Georgia seems to take on cautious maneuvers throughout the year to maintain the Cherokee forces without giving ground. The plan is to allow the Georgian Army to penetrate deep into Cherokee land and then ambush them. The Grand Council decides that this is a worth plan, however like all plans in war, it doesn't bear all the fruit that is hoped. The 1st Georgia Regiment ordered to repel the Cherokee march to the two country's borders, but then dig in throughout the year and do not pursue to advance on the Cherokee's territory. However, the 3rd Georgia Regiment of scouts are sent forth to harass the Cherokee. Being composed mostly of woodsmen and some Amerindians themselves, most raiding parties by the 3rd Georgia are not surprised by the Cherokee ambushes but each battle is a bloodbath regardless, weakening both forces. -Despite the bloody battles throughout the year between 3rd Georgia raiding parties and Cherokee warbands, no ground is lost to either side as both the main Georgian forces and Cherokee warbands stay on their side of the current border in northern Georgia. Hoping to make a quick ground without using Cherokee soldiers, Tsiyu Gansini incites local slaves in northern Georgia to rebellion, but with the 1st Georgia dug in in the area and the 2nd Georgia marching northward to confront the North Carolinians, the rebellion is contained by the Georgian armies though not without a number of slaves making their way to freedom in the Cherokee Nation. Time will tell if the meager, armed slaves will be able to maintain themselves or be crushed by Georgia. -While stalemate persists in the south, Virginia's surprise intervention and invasion of North Carolina catches Tsiyu Gansini off guard, as it invigorates Kentucky to reestablish itself on its southern border with the Cherokee. With most of the warriors fighting Georgia, Kentucky militias are able to sweep through the southern part of their Republic and rebuild control of the land, establishing blockhouses. Whether outright invasion of the Cherokee Nation will come the following year remains unforeseen however.

Courtenay and Sons Land Company - Pezgod1 Chairmen: Henry Courtenay Company Office: Richmond, Virginia Major Area of Settlement: Northern most tip of the Mississippi River, "Règlement sur le Fleuve" Colonists: 6,710 total, 0 slaves (0%) -Throughout the year, the population of colonists in Règlement grow from a variety of recruitment drives. Courtenay & Sons open up offices in Quebec, France, and the various American Republics across North America, each advertising for their unique region. The eldest Courtenay son, in charge of recruitment in the British colonies of the north, works to get colonists into the company while getting other businesses to get the pelts and other products out of the colony for sale. -With the wars of the American Republics growing, colonist drives from the southern states comes to a high. Most of those who come from that region are the poorer people, as the wealthier southerns are deterred by the freedom of slaves in the colony. But in Règlement, a poor man entering can live a wealthy life with his own land to till and manage. -The immense growth of the colony comes more signs of civilization, that Règlement is no longer just a group of people settled in a stretched out area. A court house is constructed by the fort to settle civil disputes as well as the inevitable crime that comes with a growing population. Most disputes are settled quickly and are usually over petty matters of exact location of property lines or cattle grazing areas. When the courthouse is not in use for cases, it is used as an office for Règlement for managing the economy of the colony, turning it into an impromptu colonial capital building. -As the colony grows more to recruitment drives in heavily Catholic areas comes the inevitable arrive of priests to guide those flocks of worshipers and deliver the Eucharist. Two parishes are founded in the colony, one in the central area of the fort and courthouse, and one in the northern area of the colony where new settlers are founding their homesteads. While majority of the rising black population maintains their Protestant roots, the growth Catholic colonists slowly gain some converts in that population. -After hearing of the success of semaphore lines in Paris, the Règlement office in France goes to recruit Claude Chappe for the colony. With the chaos of Reign of Terror overcoming Paris and all of Europe seemingly uniting to crush France, Chappe finds it a good idea to get out while he can and by December makes it to the Règlement colony on the northern Mississippi. -While war wreaks havoc in the southern American Republics, this creates the inevitable growth of musket manufacturing. Courtenay & Sons Co, through use of various networking, manage to obtain a number of brand new weaponry from various manufactures despite the total need for the Southern armies. These guns are shipped through the Ohio River and up to the Mississippi, where they find their way into the hands of Règlement's growing organized militia. -Envoys from the courthouse are sent to make contact with the Sioux tribes west of the colony seeking peace. While the Sioux hold no ill-will toward the colony for now, Règlement's treaty with the enemy of the Sioux, the Ojibwe, makes them reject any sort of direct friendly relations. The chiefs of various tribes tell the envoy that so long as Règlement grows northward instead of westward, there will be no war with the Sioux.

Country name: Colonia Quercus cerrorum Tree name: Stefane Location: "Somewhere outside British Fort Detroit" in Northwest Territories Dominant Religion: Naturalism of the Arborist kind - Whilst Stefane was planted in 1728, the family that planted him, the D'Eymets, had arrived in the Americas much earlier. The first D'Eymet in the Americas, named Sabas, moved to New France sometime in the late 17th century, arriving in Michigan a few years after. Sabas and his family, which included his son Guillaume, spent most of their time on the move, trying their best to hide the fact that they were in fact Huguenots, as they were not allowed to settle in the area. - Soon Sabas and his wife passed away, leaving Guillaume to fend for himself. He befriended an Amerindian family, soon leading to him marrying in with one of them. It was during this time that Guillaume, carrying his father's possessions, decided to plant the acorn of a Quercus cerris, symbolizing his slow acceptance into the society he was in. He soon had his own child, named Francis, and they lived decently enough. But an incident forces Guillaume and his family to leave the larger Amerindian group and continue the family tradition of staying on the move. - As Guillaume and his wife aged and Francis matured, they spent part of their time outside of New France as well, meeting up with Huguenot groups in British America. It was during this time Francis met his wife, a runaway slave 5 years his junior. After persuading his parents, the young lass joined their group, and the two fell in love with one another. The two got hitched, and soon enough Guillaume and his wife passed away. Francis and his wife would continue effectively hitchhiking across Eastern North America, though they mostly rested in New France, at one point even staying at the Amerindian family Francis was descendant from, as well as visiting that tree his father had planted, which he called Stefane. - However, all good things must come to an end, and that happened when Francis and his wife were caught practicing Huguenot views. They were kicked out of New France a few years before its dissolvement after the Seven Years War. Francis and his wife moved to Virginia first, followed by North Carolina, then Pennsylvania, before finally arriving at New York. By the time they had reached their final home for now, they had one son, who was named Zacharie. - As Zacharie grew up, he was more of a jokester, frequently performing for quick cash in larger cities. His small beard, long mustache and darker hued clothes led to him receiving the nickname "Scaramouche." An adult by 1793, hearing the news of Albany's interest in the Michigan region, he encouraged his parents, who have been slowly transitioning from being middle aged to being old, to move to the area he referred to as Metropotamia. Whilst dismissive at first, realizing that he could possibly see Stefane one last time, his father Francis took Zacharie's offer, and they began their move to Michigan. -When Francis and Zacharie reach Michagan, they purchase a homestead from the New York colony around Stefane. Once there, they fend off some other suspicious French Huguenots from burning the tree down for unknown reasons claiming their property rights. Somber for the lives lost fighting and remorseful for the actions taken by me and my administration. I would like to extend a formal apology to the fair Republic of Georgia, for our rash and arrogant behavior, as well as to Virginia for dragging them into a war that they originally did not partake in. We hope that with this treaty, we can create a long-lasting and prolonged peace to the South, to all of America, so that every man, woman, and child live in comfort without fear of bloodshed and violence. I look forward to rebuilding and working with our southern neighbors and deeply apologize for our actions from the war.
