More than fine. I'm not going to be finishing the turn for quite some time. I estimate maybe Sunday or next Monday it'll be out, so that's roughly your deadline.
In regard to semaphore lines Semaphore lines cannot communicate long or complicated messages, nor can they relay back and forth talking very efficiently. They're more useful for sending word out that "we are under attack at location X" rather than having a telephone to a neighboring capital. More complicated and efficient communication will always be done via courier riding on horseback until telegraph lines become more efficient, which won't really be adequately done until the late 1820s and 1830s.

Knowing that in such times it can be fleeting, President Hamilton seeks out new alliances against potential foes in the future. He sends envoys to Portugal to work out a treaty focusing New York trade to Portuguese ports with great economic opportunities in return for a military alliance. The Treaty of Coimbra is signed, however there are doubts to whether Portugal will fully commit to all of its tenements:
-New York ships will be allowed to dock and trade freely in Portuguese ports and with their territories and vice versa. -New York will aid the Portuguese in any conflict in the New World or Africa. -The Portuguese will help keep other American Republics out of Africa and Asia. -Portugal will provide support to New York's wars in the Americas. -New York will buy coffee and sugar only from the Portuguese Empire. -New York will be able to purchase warehouses in Portuguese ports to help store goods for trade back to the American Republics.
-After settling the treaty with Portugal, President Hamilton personally travels to Philadelphia to meet with representatives with other American Republics. After extensive talks with Louisiana, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Cherokia and New England, the "League of Freemen" is formed as a strong military alliance in the region, sandwiching the southern states between itself. -News of the growing friendship with other nations are welcomed, but slightly soured by the announcement of Spain's expulsion of New York's diplomats in Madrid, listing its new alliance to France against Britain as a just cause for their actions. -The government in Albany decides that with the growing interactions with France, Louisiana, Quebec and newly acquired islands in the Caribbean mandates a bilingual officer corps. Officers being trained for the army and navy are now required to understand basic French vocabulary, which officers having spent a couple of years in the Caribbean are dismissed from taking courses of, having already learned quite a lot during their extensive time there. -Admiral John Paul Jones along with enforcing the French classes for his officers, hires a number of ship designers for the growing New York fleets. Each specializing in various elements of ship design, it is hoped that their combined strengths will expedite ship building in the future. -Hoping to expand and connect its relation with newly acquired Vermont territories in the north, an expansive canal is designed to be built from lake Champlain to the Hudson River. While not as grand as the planned Erie Canal, accountants find rampant tax evasion by angry Vermont citizens is reducing initial funds for construction. -While issues regarding the canal up north remain unresolved, the government works on other angles for them, contracting Englishmen James Parker for exclusive rights to construct a cement factory along the Hudson River. After some time, the mills - part of a larger industrialization of the Hudson valley - begin producing construction materials for the surrounding area, as well as for export to buyers in the south. By the end of the year, several other mills in the area begin using Parker's cement to build their businesses. -To help relieve some of the financial pressure from the government itself, Albany puts in various commerce laws to help banks give out more affordable loans to the Hudson valley industries, while also legalizing cross-border banking into New Jersey and neighboring Connecticut, hoping to tie in the region's economy to New York City. -For the Fourth of July, President Hamilton dons his old military uniform from the revolution and presides over a large military parade throughout New York City to celebrate 20 years of independence. In the harbor, the great New York navy fires out into the sea as a salute to the celebrations, filling the populace with pride and celebration. -As the year turns into the fall, more established settlements are built on the coast of Lake Ontario in Michigan Territory. Strict laws are put into place to keep the peace between white settlers and native indians in the region, in hopes of preventing the eyes of Tecumseh's strengthening indian confederacy. Its arrival is welcomed by the launching of its sister ships, the frigates NES Maine, NES Plimoth, and NES Independence along with the sloop-o-war NES Concord and NES Lexington. While the New England Navy is expanded, a further two brigs are ordered for construction, hoping to join the fleet in 1798. -While the navy has its national attention, the army receives large orders of the Springfield model 1795 musket. Training begins almost immediately with them, hoping the infantry will become accustomed to the state-of-the-art weaponry. -Building on New England's friendship with Hayti, John Adams travels to the Caribbean island to inspect Boston's troop training. While there, he works out a lease for the island of Ile de la Gonave for a period of 50 years. Seeing New England as the best insurance for the future of Hayti's independence, they agree and construction of a New England fort begins almost immediately. -Afterward, John Adams travels to Santo-Domingo on the French side of the island. He petitions to offer purchase of their side and while the French see New England as their closes friend in the Americas, they politely decline the offer as they had just acquired it, and spent French blood putting down a recent slave uprising there. -Meanwhile in New England, President Samuel Adams pushes for the legalization of press and speech freedom to be written in stone of the nation's laws. The national assembly unanimously votes for approval afterward, allowing local newspapers to pop up across the country. -Building on its national healthcare, Boston expands care to build hospitals and sanatoriums in major towns of the country. To help keep them well staffed, a Boston Medical College is opened in the capital with the intent of training doctors and nurses in the field of medicine.

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania - Gnomical President: Major General Thomas Mifflin Capital: Philadelphia Largest City: Philadelphia Dominant Religion: Quaker, Presbyterian -Utilizing the vast forests of the mountains in western Pennsylvania, large warehouses of seasoned wood are built along the Delaware River in Philadelphia. It is hoped that as the wood ages and becomes sturdier, it will help expedite the construction of Pennsylvania's growing navy. -As other American Republics build up gunsmiths and factories, businessmen in Pittsburgh look to commercial ways to supply these industries rather than compete with them. Investors put money into state-of-the-art steel and iron foundries throughout the city, hoping to produce the best quality metal for export. -With French naval ships harassing Pennsylvanian shipping, President Mifflin moves the Commonwealth closer to Great Britain for safety. A commercial treaty is signed between the two nations in the late spring, with Great Britain offering to help protect Pennsylvanian ships from French vessels when possible, especially when sailing to the British Isles. -Hoping to seize on the current victories against the Shawnee-Miami Confederacy, the Army of Pennsylvania halts its advancement in favor of securing the lands already captured. Basic fortifications are built along the newly set border while troops in the western army are rotated back to the homeland, both to give a chance for men to see their families again as well as participate in the July 4th parades. -Being the home of the the declaration of independence, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania plans out massive festivities for the 20th anniversary of its sovereignty. Large parades of troops are held in capital of Philly throughout late June and early July while the Pennsylvania navy sails through the Delaware River in its own watery parade. The launch of two new cutters, the CPN Belle and CPN Cumberland are met with patriotic fervor, as well as the construction of two new sloops, the CPN Torrid and CPN Quentin. Soon after, the new sloops Astute, Tulip, and Burges soon enter the Delaware waters to join the growing fleet. -While the festivities go on throughout the summer, members of the Treaty of Trenton meet in Philly along with representatives of the Kingdom of Louisiana, Cherokia, and Commonwealth of New England to discuss a larger American alliance. Collectively threatened by rogue European powers such as France as well as the growing might of other American Republics, they organize the "League of Freemen", hoping to put the collective defense of themselves in their favor for any future conflict.

Republic of New Jersey - FoxWolfJackson President: William Paterson Capital: Zeitgiest Largest City: Newark Dominant Religion: Presbyterian -The Republic of New Jersey begins the year under President Paterson to develop a revised political structure of the country. Seeing that the vast majority of the southern half of the state remains undeveloped in all aspects, a new capital is developed on the banks of the Maurice River in the south. Founded as the "City of Zeitgiest" as a promotion of the new developing future of New Jersey, construction of a capital building is begun as new settlers to the town begin to come. -Much like its American neighbors, the government works on restructuring itself from its colonial-eque style. With inspiration from the ancient Roman Republic, the national assembly is remade as the New Jersey Senate, composed of one senator from each county. The country is split into political regions of north and south, with two consuls to represent the interests of each as a whole in the government. Superimposing this model on the individual counties, each county in the country is given an executive office and its own governing senate, with some deeming the counties as "little republics" now. To reiterate the changes of New Jersey to the world, the flag is redesigned to represent the fresh brown soil, the green of crops and the preservation of eastern bison. -While most other American Republics have the burden of westward expansion, the Republic of New Jersey has its time and energy free to focus on its internal development. To help facilitate the country as a breadbasket, tax incentives and land grants are given to potential farmers to help clear land and grow cops of tomatoes, corn, and wheat. A new crop to the region, camellia tea crops begin to pop up around the area, offering a niche cash crop for New Jersey. Knowing they cannot compete with the southern Republics at large, some farms do grow cotton and tobacco for the local economies. -Just as others in the north have done, New Jersey passes a bill abolishing the practice of slavery in their country. To help newly freed slaves, or escaped slaves fortunate enough to make it into New Jersey, a public school system is founded to help educate them as well as white children for the future. Part of the bill on education also gives tax incentives for the College of New Jersey in Princeton, and Rutgers University to move campuses down into the south where the new capital is constructed, another attempt to balance the development of the country there. -As houses and businesses move to Zietgiest, a group of music enthusiasts invest in construction of a symphony hall to add more culture to the growing city. Later on, a culinary institute is opened for the education of chefs in the cuisine of aristocracy, making the new capital one of cultural as much as government. -Textile mills power the north of the country's economy and to help that industrialization in the south, glass foundries are built along the coast. They quickly produce a number of glass products, from ornate vases to glasses and window panes with the hope of exporting their wares to other American republics and across the sea. Some metal working foundries also pop up across New Jersey, but majority of them are contracted by the government for military purposes. -Knowing the country's strategic location in regards to Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania, President Paterson orders the construction of a larger naval fleet. The cutters NJS Arabica and NJS Kona are launched in the later half of the year while the sloop NJS Burrito is intended to join them next year. A brig, the NJS Bratwurst is aimed for launch in 1798 while New Jersey invests much resources and money into the first American Man-O-War, designated as the NJS Obliteration, with hopes of setting sail in 1803. -With the intent of relieving Somer's Point to be more of a naval port, a new more commercial port is founded on the southern tip of the country in Cape May. It is hoped that this port can catch some of the commerce flowing to Philly as well as function as a last or first stop for ships going and coming to the Pennsylvania city. -Near the end of the year, President Paterson sends out diplomats to Puerto Rico under the new freedoms of trade for Spanish Empire. There, they contract a number of coffee plantations for export to New Jersey in return for glass wares and other goods. The Batavian Republic receives its first trade agreement from the Americas since its revolution from New Jersey as well, hoping to facilitate an exchange of various spices from Dutch colonies in return for industrial goods New Jersey produces. While the commercial deal goes well, it is uncertain with the future of the Dutch colonies in regard to the French revolutionary war how long they will survive.

Commonwealth of Virginia - Joshuadim President: Patrick Henry Capital:Richmond Largest City: Norfolk Dominant Religion: Baptist -As Virginia's navy grows to one of the largest in the American republics, Richmond seeks to reform its administration. Accountants, professional secretaries, and other educated men are hired for dock and ship administration, ousting those put in place for their birth or rank. It is hoped that with better, more educated men in charge that this will cut the slack off construction and expedite the speed of building the fleets. -The administration reforms come just in time as the brigs VCS Retribution and VCS Dawnbreaker set sail early in the year. In mid spring, the first American battleship VCS Endurance, under the flying colors of Virginia, sets sail for the first time with tremendously tall mast, bright white sails, and 54 polished cannon ready to dominate the seas of any foe. Almost immediately it is ordered on its first mission, to carry a delegation, led by Vice President Jefferson and Secretary James Monroe, to Cuba with the intent of aiding a fellow slave nation in putting down rebellious Negroes. -As the ship makes port in Cuba, it finds another ship with the flag of Virginia across the harbor. Much confusion is had, by both the Virginians and the Cubans but before either can react, the ship immediately drops its sails and breaks for the high seas, giving little time for the Spanish or Endurance to give chase. After much heavy discussion with the confused Spanish officials discussing that Jefferson and Monroe are the real Virginian envoy, it is discovered that the ship flying false colors were secretly giving arms to the slave rebellion on the island. -While the whole false Virginian ship sets the administration of Cuba on edge, they are eventually cooled and discussion of contingent of Virginian troops are landed to help put down the revolt. After a month in central Cuba, the disorganized last remaining Negro slaves flee to the eastern mountains. In return for their aid to the Spanish, Virginia officially leases a portion of the far eastern end of the island. While legally and theoretically still under the Spanish domain, the territory given to the Virginians is fairly undeveloped and essentially a new colony of the American state. Construction of a naval base is quickly begun, with the VCS George Mason, VCS John Smith, and VCS George Washington docking there later in the year. -The growing friendship between Virginia and the Spanish Empire is welcomed as the Portuguese, in league with the Republic of New York, threaten the colonial fort in West Africa. The Portuguese blockade the fort for two months as a show of force before sailing off as Spanish vessels come to dock for resupply. -More liberal members of the House of Burgess push through a bill to aid the property of slaves in the Commonwealth. President Henry signs the bill into law, named the Second Christian Treatment of Property Act, requiring all slave owners to provide a basic mattress and a minimum of one hot meal per day for their slaves. It is hoped that by forcing property owners to better treat their Negroes, the slaves in turn will be more fit and hardworking and thus helping improve the economy, as well as their own lives. -Seeking to improve the lives of everyone, not just those enslaved, the Clear City Waters Act is put into law, mandating major cities such as Norfolk and Richmond to construct modernized sewer systems to improve sanitation and cleanliness of the cities. It is hoped that by cleaning the air of the foul stenches, diseases like Malaria which many believe is caused by the bad air, will fade away. -As summer comes to full bloom, so does the year's military campaigns in Ohio. The Virginian Army continues its role of removing rebellious natives from the land and burning their settlements as news of a truce between the Shawnee and Pennsylvania come. While some of the men feel this could prove disastrous for them, the officers of the army are happy that a larger confrontation of the Indian confederacy is nearing. -With new canon purchased from Carolina foundries, the Virginian forces come across a large contingent of Shawnee at the old site of the 1774 Yellow Creek Massacre. The Virginian troops are eager and confident at first, but as the battle begins, it is discovered that the Shawnee-Miami have organized their warriors into a more formidable force, along with use of modern day muskets and a couple canon - of the same design the Virginians use. The battle becomes much bloodier and longer than anticipated, but eventually the Indians break ranks and route after a desperate cavalry charge by the Virginians and flanking the enemy with Frontiers Regiment. Though many of the Indian warriors make their way from the battle, the Virginian forces are too weakened for the day to continue to charge and the general orders a setting of camp to deal with the wounded and resupply. -As news of the Battle of Yellow Creek spreads to Richmond, more unwelcoming news comes from Kentucky that the Cherokee have invaded and occupied the far western part of the province. While sparsely populated with whites, the control of the joining of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers prevent much trade with Louisiana and the the Gulf region southward as well as permitting the Cherokee free reign to supply the Shawnee-Miami Confederacy, leaving the Army of Virginia in Ohio split between finishing their confrontation with the Shawnee or marching southwest to liberate Kentucky. -Later in the year, a general census is held across the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is counted that the total population of the country is just under a million, at 998,780 total people, with 397,112 being enslaved Negroes, accounting for roughly 40% of the total population. -Though much of the population is found to be living in Virginia proper, for the 300,000 or so souls living in the Kentucky province, Richmond lowers taxes on its main economic venue - liquor. It is hoped that by giving tax incentives, the region will not only produce more bourbon and whiskey, but enough to possibly export as well to neighboring countries and across the sea.

The Carolina Confederacy - Jsoldier President: Alexander Martin Capital: Raleigh Largest City: Charleston Dominant Religion: Baptist -While tensions rise between Virginia and other American Republics, President Martin decides to take preemptive measures in any event of war by ordering the construction of fortifications in the northern territories of the country. The belief is, should Virginia's armies need to fall back south from the north, the forts will be able to hold and prevent any invasion from continuing to go into Carolina lands. Many of the forts are just finished as a slave outbreak in their northern neighbor erupts, giving a chance for the forts to prevent it from spreading into their homeland. -To help distract the people from the growing concerns of the continent, a number of museums and monuments are built in various cities across the nation. They are filled with various themes, but many bolster the perspective of Carolina's strength and history, from its founding as a colony to today. To aid in keeping the sites staffed, a Carolina National Park Service is established, tasked with keeping monuments safe and clean, while also preserving the natural flora and fauna of the Great Smokey Mountains, as well as preserve the small numbers of Eastern American bison. -The coast of the Carolinas, leading its neighbors in the field, continues to industrialize with expansion of armament manufacturing. Sales of Carolina Confederacy muskets and canon come from private companies and individuals, to neighboring republics. Contracts are made with Boulton and Watt to open up a foundry for their steam engines in the Americas, which they begin construction of later in the year, though they expect most of their business to continue from England, where majority of Carolina's imports of such machines come from. The foundry is often the first employer of many fresh engineering graduates from the Columbia Technical College later in the year. -Continuing trade with various states in India and Great Britain's East India Company, various spices and teas are imported in to the Carolinas in return for exports of arms, greatly strengthening the economy as well as the Carolina's ties to their old mother nation. With trade growing, the embassy in England works with Parliament to establish a new treaty of understanding between Carolina and Great Britain, working out payment or forgiving of various debts incurred between the two nations. -Tensions between all of the American Republics and France continue with French harassment of American shipping. Though for Carolina, relief may be in sight with the launching of the two brigs CCS Charleston and CCS Charlotte. The joy of seeing the ships launch only last a few days however, as news reaches the capital of the capture of several large Carolina merchant ships by French privateers just off the coast of Brazil while returning from India. As the year progresses, Carolina shipping in particular of the American republics are hit hard by privateers and harassing French naval ships. -As various roads between Cherokia and Carolina are completed, the addition of semaphore lines along major highways are ordered to be constructed, while large numbers of modern arms travel across to the Cherokee in return for lucrative trades in furs and pelts. Meanwhile, New York begins to import Carolina arms in return for exports of cement and construction materials. -To help the populace better understand its neighbors as well as different economies, a number of classes are introduced to public schooling explaining how northern American republics function with little to no slaves. It opens the eyes to many, though many of the larger plantation and slave owners withdraw their children from public schools in favor for private tutoring in response.

Republic of Georgia - Ruskie v2.0 President: George Walton Capital: Louisville Largest City: Savannah Dominant Religion: Baptist -Impressed by Carolina's growing arms industry, Georgia works on its own industrialization along its coast. Large tax cuts and incentives are placed musket and canon foundries. Meanwhile, Georgian envoys seek the sale of their new guns to various European buyers, finding a welcoming sale to the Kingdom of Sweden. -As Georgian armies march south into Florida to gain a more solid control of its annexed territories, a number of towns and villages are settled behind their path. As immigration to northern Florida (or as they now call, southern Georgia) continues, the government in Louisville sends out a number of representatives of the government to install a democratic government for each township. While they act as an appointed governor, their only hold on power is until the local populaces elect one of their own as mayors. -Many of the towns are founded very close by Georgian Army fortifications, which they place a number of blockhouses and minor forts in key locations across the territory in order to have a consistent line of protection against the Seminoles in the south. -With the continued harassment of shipping from France, convoys are enlarged for greater protection when shipping to Great Britain. -To help combat the undeclared war at sea, Georgia enacts a reform of its naval department. Men originally placed in command of the navy for their connections and high class heritage are replaced by accountants, educated secretaries, and professional sailors. The reformed administration hopes that it will be able to cut back on future expenses while expediting the growth of the Georgian naval fleet.

Kingdom of Louisiana - Pezgod1 Constitutional Monarch: Henri Courtenay Capital: New Orleans Largest City: New Orleans Dominant Religion: Roman Catholic -Discussion of a constitution for Louisiana continues throughout 1796, much of the time spent being stalled over the question of slavery and rights of Indians in the kingdom. While many locals are fearful of indians, pressure to recognize their freedoms are inevitably enforced by pointing out the great help of the Ojibwe in the revolution. -Throughout the summer, discussions between whether to be a kingdom of slavery or freedom is heavily debated, with King Henri pressuring for abolishment. To help smooth out relations, the government (and a little from Henri's personal fortunes) will help compensate slave owners for their emancipation of their property, along with much better tax deals, giving a strong incentive for slave owners themselves to release their negroes instead of the government forcing them to. -What slaves are freed as part of the dealings are set up with small acres of farmland on the west banks of the Mississippi river, along with the colony up north. To help them along, tax incentives are also placed on them as they normally start with nothing but the clothes on their back. -While Cherokia marches and conquers the local indians along the eastern banks of the Mississippi, Louisiana expands its domains along the western banks along the river. -To help solidify the borders of the kingdom, a national royal army is built, with deep blue uniforms. Slaves are permitted to join the army under the conditions of serving for 15 years in return for their emancipation. Though a number of slave owners object to losing their property and arming them at that, emancipation tax laws help quell most of the disagreement. -As the kingdom settles its domestic affairs, King Henri looks outward to solidify its place in the world. Trade is opened with the Republic of Hayti while heavily investment into the port expansion is made. Large warehouses for seasoned wood is constructed throughout the outer port areas hoping to expedite trade and commerce of shipping in the future. -The mark of true independence comes as the Kingdom of Louisiana is invited to the convention in Philly to establish a military alliance of American Republics. Henri's seventh son is sent to represent New Orleans in Philadelphia, where they sign into the League of Freemen with Cherokia and northern American republics. -While trade on the Mississippi is the lifeblood of the nation, it is heavily disrupted by the Cherokee invasion of western Virginia, cutting off many of the goods that sail down the river from the Ohio. -Despite the diminishing trade, a number of communication lines are built along the river, hoping have better connection with the Cherokee capital and settlements along the river. -Colonial immigration is still encouraged via the Courtenay company, with large immigration drives into minorities of France, hoping to gain an influx of Breton, Basque, and Occitan immigration to New Orleans.

Cherokia - Sobotnik First Beloved Chancellor: Deekstra Capital: Cutonuga Largest settlement: Cutonuga Dominant Religion: Unorganized Animism -Deekstra continues to push for more westernization of the Cherokee, by starting the new year by introducing the whiteman's Georgian calendar to the government. Official calendars are made, written in Cherokee script, though only the more urban towns adopt them in practice with much of the rural and non-Cherokee tribes continuing their old practices. -Hoping to ease any tensions between tribes under the Cherokee command, a number of judge councils are set up with the intent of mediating between conflicting parties. The court system is ultimately answerable to the Deekstra and his government, putting his reach into the local tribal government more and formalizing the Cherokee further into "modern state". -The spring is spent focusing on the economy. Chancellor Deekstra launches what he calls the "1800 Plan", hoping that Cherokia will become self sufficient in producing raw materials and food within four year's time. Throughout the mountainous east, coal and iron mines are built while the more soil rich south is exploited for large farms akin to the white nations east of them. A Welsh immigrant by the name of Brimbly Gradgrind is contracted as an engineer for the Cherokee, to help facilitate the construction of modern mining techniques as well as introduce wagonways between mines and foundries. -For a time now, the Cherokee have used American maps to organize their country. These are thrown into a fire as new maps of Cherokia are made, organizing the land based on their tribes and those of sister tribes in the south. With this in mind, provinces are redrawn along historic tribal lines rather than what the whites of the east determine as natural borders. -Hearing of the growing following of Joe the Smith and tails of his apparent miracle magic, Deekstra invites him to Cutonuga. Once there, Deekstra coordinates with Joe to make his faith a more dominant force in Cherokia, mutually helping each other for Joe to spread his faith with Deekstra's political control tagging along with it. Joe teaches that it is good to produce as many children as possible, which Deekstra hopes will enlarge population of the Cherokee -As farms and mines open, so do small, permanent towns around them. More buildings are constructed with the more advanced designs of insulation and sanitation based off of American housing and barns. One particular city is built along the Wolf River, dubbing it Wudeligvditlv Unilohisdi. There, it is hoped to be a major trade town along the rivers. Two large naval river boats are built to protect it, arming the ships with canon that can devastate any river port. The two ships are named The Galoqueequa and the Atleisdi. -Knowing that both the Republic of Georgia and the Kingdom of Louisiana seek to expand their borders, the Cherokee quickly annex much of the unclaimed land between the Mississippi and eastern American Republics. This expands the coastline Cherokia controls, as well as solidifying the Mississippi as a natural border between them and Louisiana. The town on Mobile Bay continues to grow, with the construction of docks. A number of white ship designers and architects are contracted, with high hopes of the Cherokee learning the craft of seamanship and ship building. -Hoping to arm the Cherokee army with more modernized weaponry, Deekstra orders thousands of muskets and several cannons from Carolina manufacturers. As the weapons ship into Cherokia, the army is drilled in their use with horses. Knowing that their forces are small, they hope to optimize tactics of hitting the enemy hard then withdrawing quickly again and again to wear down much larger forces. -The status of nationhood always relies on the recognition of other nations, envoys are sent out by order of Deekstra to build embassies. The major European powers of Spain, France, Britain, and Prussia all give their Cherokee delegates a home, where they are quickly tasked with learning as much as they can of the government and technological organization of Europe. More closer to home, a delegation is invited to Philly with other American republics of New York, New Jersey, New England, and the Kingdom of Louisiana to form a large military alliance on the continent. The League of Freemen is formed, marking Cherokia as a direct equal among the American Republics. -News of the Shawnee battling the Virginian army at Yellow Creek reaches Deekstra later in the year. Though the Shawnee suffered defeat, it is clear that the Virginian forces have become weakened heavily by the battle, hopefully due to Cherokee training of the northern confederacy. Hoping to capitalize on the potential weakness, Deekstra calls Cherokia to war. The army marches northward immediately, seizing much of the far west of Virginia, giving the Cherokee a more direct connection with the Shawnee-Miami Confederacy. Though few white settlers live in the area and resistance is little, the capture of the Ohio-Mississippi confluent stalls trade from eastern American republics and Louisiana

Ór Nua Agricultural Cooperative - Snoberry Tea Company Office: Belfast, Great Britain Chairman: Padraig O'Donoghue Major Area of Settlement: Southern tip of Novia Scotia, "New Eire" Dominant Religion: Roman Catholic Colonists: 6,093 total, 108 slaves (1.8%) -Diversity in agriculture goods is the company goal chairman Padraig O'Donoghue sets for the year 1796. Sheep are imported from Scotland and neighboring Canadian colonies along with construction of a loom mill in New Eire with hopes of exporting wool goods to the passing sailors. -To help facilitate the colony as an excellent stopping point for ships coming and going between the Americas and Europe, the docks on the shore are enlarged to accommodate larger vessels, as well as the wharf to help ease space for the growing number of exports from the Irish colony. -As the ports begin to export syrups, alcohol, and wool products, fish and crab begin to come into the colony as fishermen from New Eire tap into the vast and plentiful resources of the surrounding seas. Any fear of food shortages due to poor crops for the year are all but gone as colonists dine on cod and lobster more often than potatoes or bread. -Though many of the sailors of the fishing ships going out count themselves as Irish or English, a growing number of Polish and Bavarian farmers continue to expand the colony more inland. Attracting Catholic families trying to escape anti-Catholic sentiments in Europe, the Poles and Germans quickly establish orchards and pastures for sheep into Nova Scotia. -While the colony grows in both population as well as income, O'Donoghue makes a petition to Lieutenant-Governor Sir John Wentworth to contract more land. Knowing that New Eire is bringing much prosperity to the south of the greater Nova Scotia colony, he grants the EIAG the rights to annx Yarmouth and Barrington along with vast tracts of wilderness surrounding them. -Upon acquiring the new land, the colonists immediately begin to clear out the forests of the region to make the naturally growing maple trees more accessible and healthy, while fields are designated for organized orchards so that harvesting can be done in a more efficient and uniformed manner. -The further points of the colony grow with sheep pasture or orchards, but more closer to the colonial towns the farmers of the area embrace cast iron plows to quickly break up the ground for fresh barley and wheat plantings. -With continued success of the colony and its growing wealth, Chairman Padraig O'Donoghue and the investors change the name of the company to "Ór Nua Agricultural Cooperative". A public school is established with various basic subjects are taught, from rudimentary math to the basic concepts of cattle ranching for the children. When it is dismissed in the evening, adults come to it to learn German from the freshly appointed German head-master as it continues to grow into the main language of the colony. -Though Friedrich Ruiters spends much of his time in the colony keeping an eye on investments and organization, he hires a few German immigrants well versed in common law as administrators of the colony while he travels away for any length of time. He makes sure to give them basic educations on Spanish laws in the mean time to insure no issues arise from the colony's main patron. -Interaction with Indians are rare for Friedrichsstadt, but Ruiters remains cautious none the less by appointing a Sheriff from the higher ranks of the Jaeger militia. He is tasked with enforcing law in the colony, as well as keeping it protected from outside threats and to this end, Ruiters leaves him a bag of coins to enlarge the ranks of the militias. When returning one day, Ruiters finds that his over-zealous sheriff had not only grown the ranks of the Jaeger company, but somehow managed to acquire a 6 pound canon at that. -The Spanish and Louisiana are the colony's main trading partners, though Ruiters is always on the look-out to expand the company's opportunities. To this end, he sends out an envoy to the Commanche in the west seeking to open up trade relations. The Comanche find the envoy before the Germans find any settlements. While initial interactions remain tense, the Comanche realize that the colonists are not settling in the area, nor are they Spanish and after some talks manage to come to a basic trade agreement with the local tribes for various goods, especially horses. -As leather and beef begin to be exported out, Ruiters knows that Spain's entanglement with France and England could be a possible threat to his fortunes and the colony. While not having the financial nor legal ability to found his own navy, he does manage to hire a small 8-gun cutter called the Ruyter to defend his bay should the need arise. -Hoping to interconnect the colony a bit more with his neighbors, a postal service is built in the center of town with the ability to send packages and mail as far as San Antonio and New Orleans. -Playing off the unfriendly relations between Spain and the Kingdom of Louisiana, Ruiters manages to persuade the commadante of San Antonio to lease the colony the use of Presidio San Augustin for protection in the north. The old fort is quickly garrisoned with a small number of Jaegers and why officially tasked with preventing any possible invasion of Louisiana, they find themselves more often protecting the trade with New Orleans and the colony. -In the later half of the year, Friedrich Ruiters begins to travel out into the world once more to encourage the growth of his colony and make more business dealings. Hoping to encourage a variety of people, he travels southward to encourage those of mixed-heritage in New Spain to immigrate to the colony with a special eye on San Felipe, while also travelling through the southern American Republics to encourage rich plantation owners to invest in property on the northern side of the colony, which have special exemptions to its slave-abolishment laws. -Mr Ruiter's journey ends the year back in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania where he travels among the German immigrants there, hoping to attract well experienced craftsmen and tradesmen to the colony. With tensions growing there with Virginia, a number of them are eager to avoid being caught in a war and travel south to Tejas. Beyond more neighbors settling in the region from New York proper, not many come by the tree save for a few oddly fanatically religious Cherokee who vow to make Stefane a site of pilgrimage. -Many young saplings grow across the land throughout Michigan, some beginning to grow their own acorn seeds. -Though Zacharie keeps a musket loaded at all times by his homestead in Metropotamie, it goes unused and unneeded throughout the year save to take a shot at some turkey for the day's dinner. So, hello everyone! New Jersey here! Just figured I'd make an intro post here saying hi. First time I've done an RP like this before and absolutely loved the concept, so I jumped in. Looking forward to running this until 2000, when we can all curse the invention of the internet and argue which one of us will be the state that claims Facepunch.
I have: Cherokia Pennsylvania Virginia Georgia Need everyone else still

Any updates on this?
Still waiting for everyone on the previous list minus New York now. I've also have had a very long, stressful week IRL, which is why I haven't been on discord at all lately.
don't worry about it lad
