Tarkayen spotted Koelbe. He turned his head slightly. A commissar? The situation was developing by the minute. ALongside the commissar were a small entourage of guardsmen. Difficult. They would be in the way in an eventual firefight.
With decisive steps the Vindicare assassin approached Koelbe. He stared at him blankly for what seemed to be an eternity.
"Tell your men to stay out of my way."
If there was something that Koelbe already disliked about this assassin, it was his abrasive attitude. With his entourage long gone for their assigned duties, the Commissar folded his arms, resting them on the table in front of him.
"I have no quarrel with the Assassinorum. If I did, I doubt that I would receive help from that entourage. Nor would I make myself known in this garb." He replied, coldly, and to the point, staring the Vindicare down eye to eye-- or uh, eyeplate to faceplate.
Tarkayen stared at him blankly for yet another minute. He then nodded. "Good." After that he remained in place, much to Koelbe's enjoyment.
Kelrys followed the Tau after changing back into her own personal armor, having done her duties aboard the Sherylwood. She would leave the Humans to conclude their activities aboard the vessel, while she returned to her quarters.

A black leather boot stepped off of a personal shuttle onto the cold metal floor of Mesdames Space Station, the first of a pair belonging to one Inquisitor Boren Nev. He examined his surroundings, pausing only for a moment, before continuing on. A servo-skull followed behind him, linked to the Inquisitor's mind instead of cybernetically. He made is way off the docks, quietly strolling through till he spotted a small cafe off to the side. He was indeed craving a cup of coffee, having not had any since his departure from his previous assignment.
He walked over and stepped inside, examining the patrons of the tiny cafe. It seemed rather ordinary, save for the hospitaller, Vindicare assassin, and Krieg commissar nearby. All three looked out of place amongst the others. He raised an eyebrow, but returned his attention to getting a drink.
Koelbe kept up the charade with the Vindicare for a few more moments before turning his attention to the rest of the-- oh. Wow, huh. Maybe some fresh air would be good for him, once in a while. Turns out that civilian apothecary isn't so civilian after all. Some part of the Ecclesiarchy, judging from her armor, actually. In any case-- and... an Inquisitor, walks in, as well. Now this was just becoming silly. A Vindicare, a Commissar and an Inquisitor all walk into a café. Good lord, it was like the set-up to a bad joke.
He shook his head lightly at the thought, reaching in his pockets to dig out a well-kept piece of paper. The Colossus, Rogue Trader fleet... he'd never quite trusted them, given their oft under the table dealings with the xenos and the heretic alike, but he supposed if that's where the Commissariat wanted him, that's where he would go...
...The presence of the Vindicare and Inquisitor, however, set off quite a number of red flags...

The Hospitaller watched the crowd curiously, having not spent much time on a space station before. There were plenty of workers shuffling about, passengers waiting around, and a few more... interesting characters of note. She eyed the black-clad Assassin back steadily as he stared at her for a moment before carrying on. Sophia crossed her arms and kicked her feet up into the chair in front of her, glancing away in time to see a Krieg Commissar enter the cafe bistro. That was more interesting to her than the simple assassin. Why was a commissar here? Was there a Krieg regiment in transit here?
It was clear the Vindicare was very rude when they spoke to the commissar - but what should anyone expect? She didn't doubt that the assassin in the armor was one of those creatures that was raised in a dungeon with the sole purpose to kill. They had no feeling or emotion. It was a little disgusting to think about. Yet perhaps that was a natural response for her. She lived to heal, it lived to kill.
For the moment she simply observed the commissar and assassin, wondering what was going to develop between the two. And then an inquisitor entered the cafe.
Throne, what is occurring out here, she wondered. Was this what the frontier was like? All these unique individuals simply strutting around? It was a very new experience.
Upon seeying Koelbe's piece of paper Tarkayen dumps his own right under the Commissar's nose. "Colossus?" He asked.
Snugbuz walks by Sophia lugging his shotgun over his shoulder tips his head and mutters "She git" and continues walking past and follows Yaroslav to the dropship "I'm ready to assist in any matters boss"
His eyes moving up from under his mask to look at the assassin unflinchingly, Koelbe set his own papers down to inspect the ones slammed right in front of him. After a moment, he nods. "Mm. I didn't suspect that a Rogue Trader would enlist the help of the Assassinorum."

She eyed the assassin and commissar exchanging papers and realized that, like her, they were also planning on joining the Rogue Trader. How funny.
Sophia stood quietly from her table and strode over to them and gave a little curtsy. "Forgive the intrusion, but I couldn't help but notice that we are all going to the same place," she says, flashing her piece of paper at them. "Perhaps we should get acquainted?"
As Boren sipped from a cup of coffee he had just purchased, he listened in on the conversation between the trio he had seen when he came in. All three were joining the Colossus. But why would an Vindicare be needed by a Rogue Trader? He pondered the many reasons, before deciding that it'd be trivial to dwell on such things. He glanced over to them as he sat at a table nearby, his servo-skull floating quietly next to him.
The Commissar looked over to the Hospitaller, curious as to her intention before she spoke up, and flashed her piece of paper at the pair. Leaning in slightly to give it a quick glance over before he rested back into the seat, Koelbe's arms folded over themselves once again. "Quaint." He simply replied, his voice both muffled and slightly synthesized through the mask. "If you must know, I am Commissar Two-Four--" An irritated sigh emanated from the mask as Meinrad stopped himself.
"...Commissar Meinrad Koelbe." He motioned his hand, looking between the two and waiting for a response in kind.

"A pleasure to meet you, Commissar Koelbe. I am Curia Advance Sophia Avalon, Order Hospitaller. You may just call me Sophia, if you prefer." She removed a small amulet from around her neck and held it for him to see. It was a tiny metal torch with a ruby for flame, flanked by two aquila wings. "My convent was the Order of the Torch," she explained.
"If you do not mind, may I join you at this table?"
The Commissar's hand cupped over the amulet as he inspected it closely, nodding as he took it away, motioning over to the other side of the table. "If you wish, sister." He paused for a moment as he leaned over the table, getting himself into a slightly more comfortable position. "I am curious as to what you mean that it was your convent."
Sophia Avalon
"I seem to have partially misspoke. I will always belong to the convent, but I am traveling independently of my own accord. Sanctioned, naturally, but I am not operating on a particular mission for my convent," she said while taking a seat across from the commissar. She took a small glance at the assassin, but looked back to the Kriegsman.
"Though I am also curious. What brings a Guard commissar out here alone like this? I had assumed you were transiting with a regiment, but if you are joining the Rogue Trader then I assume you do not have a regiment of guardsmen in your back pocket."
"Ah. Apologies." The Commissar nodded slightly in affirmation. He's somewhat amiable then, at least. He did take a deep breath, however, as the question was then posed to him. It seems it was inevitable, then.
He looked back up to the Hospitaller once again. "My last regiment was wiped out. Heretics and xenos." He stated rather bluntly. Though it was by no means something pleasant to say, it was only proper to say the truth. "They were dissolved into other regiments after their manpower dwindled significantly. The Commissariat assigned my services out for hire with the Rogue Traders after the fact."

"I understand," she nodded solemnly, expression darkening. "My homeworld was... burned by heretics and traitors. I lost my family and many friends, but that dark time was what set me on my path today. Had things gone normally, I likely would have become naught but a simple wife, fit only to raise children. Now I know my true calling, and it is serving the Emperor as a healer. I mend the broken so that they can continue their journey in our Lord's name."
Koelbe nodded, and pondered in thought for a moment. "...I see. Though a man's duty is to die in the service of our God-Emperor, you earn my... respect, for aiding the wounded man, helping him to see through more days in the service of the Emperor." He gave a solemn, almost sagely nod. Although his almost robotic voice seemingly was betraying his message, the Commissar did indeed harbour a deal of respect for those who helped the wounded man.
Sophia Avalon
She smiled and gave a little nod. "Your words are kind, sir."
Her tone shifted a bit and her voice became quieter, "Though I must ask. Is the man with the servo-skull an inquisitor? He's been discretely watching us, I think." Sophia didn't turn to look, but instead kept her gaze leveled mostly on Koelbe.
"I believe so." The ever-unflinching... almost worryingly-static Kriegsman replied, lowering his own voice in kind. "Though, I doubt we have little to worry about. Despite our... less than savoury location..." He noted, picking up his papers and resealing them, carefully putting them back into his pocket. "...My mind is not clouded with any doubt that we would ever be considered heretics."
Sophia Avalon
"I agree, but I still find it rude to be watched in such a fashion," she says with a little pout, shooting a small glance again at the assassin who had watched her for a short bit earlier.
"Regardless, he makes me feel like a schola girl being watched by a proctor."
Under his mask, the Commissar raised an eyebrow slowly. Of the many equivalences he'd heard of in his time, that was certainly one of the odder ones that he had come across. Either way, he decided to not dwell on it too much. "That is the role of an Inquisitor, after all. To watch over the populace and weed away the vile mutants and heretics. Just as it is my role to watch over the guardsmen, and weed out the pathetic cowards from their ranks."

"Indeed, commissar." stated the Inquisitor, before sipping from his coffee cup. He glanced up to the hospitaller next. "Continue your honorable duties healing the broken, and serving our lord the God-Emperor, and you shall have no need to fear persecution from me, dear Hospitaller."
"Inquisitor." Koelbe said flatly, careening his gaze in the direction of said inquisitor after being addressed. "If you do not mind my asking, to what do we owe this pleasure?"
"If you do not mind my asking, to what do we owe this pleasure?"
"The Colossus, of course. It has piqued my interest." he replied, setting his cup down on the table before him.
"Hmn." The Commissar looked away to think for a few moments. "How... coincidental. It almost makes one wonder what could possibly draw the Assassinorum, Ecclesiarchy and Inquisition to a single trade fleet, other than outright heresy." Koelbe grimly noted, looking between the rest of his future compatriots in the room.

The hospitaller wanted to stick her tongue out at the inquisitor, but she obviously refrained from doing so. She didn't fear persecution - she was a pure, loyal servant to the Emperor. She simply didn't like being watched by the man, inquisitor or not. In fact, she didn't like his tone very much either. He really did make her feel like a schola child again.
"How kind of you, sire," she said a little flatly.
"How... coincidental. It almost makes one wonder what could possibly draw the Assassinorum, Ecclesiarchy and Inquisition to a single trade fleet, other than outright heresy."
"This is a rather strange circumstance, I suppose. While I am here to attend to medical and spiritual recuperation, I can only imagine you three have a more... combative motivation for being here. Let us hope there is no conspiracy within this Rogue Trader fleet. But if there is, I will be the first to snap the first heretics neck I find," she said more than a little fiercely.
Tarkayen stared at Sophia. "Tarkayen. Vindicare Temple." His black visor turned towards the Inquisitor. "Constante Sector. Loyalism, sub-optimal. Heretics, present. Orks, present."
The assassin paused, as if he was thinking. Infact he was proccessing an extreme amount of data streamed from Terra using advanced vox channels. "Purification: recommended."
"Constante Sector. Loyalism, sub-optimal. Heretics, present. Orks, present...Purification: recommended."
"We shall root out the heretics, and deal with the Orks as they come. Purification is not needed just yet." stated Boren, glancing towards Tarkayen. He was actually far more interested in how far the taint of Chaos and heresy had spread. If the sector was purified immediately, he would never know how much had spread to the neighboring sectors.
"Acknowledged." Replied Tarkayen. He stared at the Inquisitor. "Your service record is impressive. High lethality." He nodded towards Koelbe. "Prediction: optimal battle efficiency when paired with Commissar Koelbe, M."
