Yaroslav let Snugbuz take the lead, heading forward while servoskulls scouted. The servoskulls blinked, detecting an incoming lifeform. He widened his eyes and raised his lasgun while his light shined.
Something was coming.
Eur'i, after hopping off to follow the rest of the group, kept his rifle at the ready as the group ventured further down the abandoned hulk's corridors.
Hearing no such whispers, just a faint static in his comms, the Tau looked to the rest of the group, curiously, before looking off in the direction that they all did. What could possibly have riled them all up so much? Even so, he took aim, ready to blast off a rail round right through whatever may or may not be approaching.
Katherina aimed with her boltpistol. She glanced briefly at Eur'i. "Whatever comes out of those shadows I expect to be met by your railfire, Tau."
Felix eyed the skeletons and scratched bones fiercely. Unless these men had been dead for a long time, few things made skeletons of men quickly - and none were good. He tightened his grip on his shotgun and flipped on one of his external voidsuit lights, a sort of mini spotlight that illuminated where he was looking. Useful for engineering work, less so for combat.
When a whisper floated through the air from a nearby hallway, his skin prickled and he readied his shotgun. Daemons, the thought haunted his mind, daemons lurk among you....
Khrak follows close behind Snugbuz with his rifle at the ready to shoot or whack something, whichever came first. At the sight of the human getting spooked, the kroot gets ready to spring into action against whatever might be coming.
Rowbutt steps forward, warhammah in his grips. Whatever was coming was going to feel it.
"Already ahead of you, Gue'la." The Tau whispered back, his internal suit systems calculating trajectories, possible locations, and where to shoot in order to not incapacitate-- or kill, one of his allies. Even if, to be honest, he wouldn't be too terribly saddened if it was one of the greenskins that accidentally ate a round.
Snugbuz readies his shotgun in anticipation of incoming gitz.
Thall quickly readied himself, griping his Omnisian Axe with his unaugmented while his bionic left arm aimed his Gamma pistol's sights down the long hallway.
The Magos quickly tried to get visual image from his servoskulls before hastily calling them back towards him.
As everyone readied their weapons and aimed for whatever was about to show up a figure approached slowly. In the light, a mumbled voice was heard, dull and almost painful. The figure was almost human. But of course, it had to be. A malnourished female walked, wearing tattered rags and a shaved head as tears form from her eyes. Her lips were stitched together as she attempted to pry her restraints out with her charred fingertips.
She tried to hurry but her heels were soaked in blood, barely able to run.
As that very same figure approached, Eur'i took in a sharp intake of breath, finger hairpinning the trigger before... he let the pressure off, slowly beginning to look up from his rifle.
"Is that... another Gue'la?" He asked, unsurely, looking to the rest of his squad as the red glare from his helmet pierced through the darkness, shifting around before finally settling to look directly at the figure.
Snugbuz says "Oy git! who you be" a little louder than meaning to.
Khrak lowers his weapon and gives an almost disappointed sounding sigh. However, he doesn't let his guard down just yet.
Thaddius keeps his weapon pointed at the woman, feeling no sympathy for her due to a lack of data for their mission and situation. "Identify yourself!" he commands, pointing his weapon at the injured woman, not caring for her stitched together mouth.
"Dis one looks a bit on the skinny side." Rowbutt sounded dissapointed. "Ah, wuld still smash"
"Son of a bitch." Yaroslav said, almost disgusted. He kept his lasgun towards the woman.
"Get on your knees and raise your hands!" He shouted. The female nevertheless complied attempting to scream out but to no avail. Blood dripped from her head, drawing to the side of her neck. Around the room were whispers but more than one. Yaroslav turned to his surroundings.
"What?"
"AH! MORE OF EM! GOOD!"
Kelrys watched the woman, her shuriken pistol leveled at her still. Then she heard the other whispers around them. It appeared that they might have fallen into a trap...and from the looks of it, a trap set by unholy forces.
"Silence yourself." the Infilitrator Princeps orders the ork, taking a few steps back into the shadows yet keeping his weapon trained on the woman. "Keep our flank covered. We need to be prepared to retreat to a safer location if we are truly surrounded."
Thall begin fanatically searching the room, clenching tightly onto his gamma pistol while a ballistic mechadendrite mounted into right shoulder, caring a bolt pistol scanned his surroundings from left to right.
The optical mechadendrite mounted on the left shoulder begin to trying to scour the area for any threats within the area for any threats lurking within the shadows.
"I believe you to right, Thaddius. Nevertheless, I hope you know is of the top priority in regards to protection.." Thall hastily stated in binary.
Yaroslav aimed at the female and ordered the groups to stay focused. The Female cried out but she couldn't. A red glow pointed and immediately went for Yaroslav's arm.
Melee: 6 x 1 A swipe of a stainless steel blade came out of the shadows and barely caught the Arch Militant's left arm.
Miss!
"Fracking!" He saw a twisted human being, cobbled in wires and wielded in a metal harness. Eyes replaced by red augments. Another one came from the back and held a Bolter in his left arm and a blade for a right hand. The female let out a muffled scream as her eyes bled out and eyes turned red, marching forward.

"Indeed, honored Magos." he replied to Thall in binary. "You are as much as a priority as the precious artifacts on this ship. Yet we do not know what enemy we face. I pray they did not damage the artifact..."
He was interrupted by the claws suddenly attacking the Arch Militant, and he fires a burst from his Arc Pistol at the woman who had recently turned and started her slow advance toward the group. "Take cover! These creatures are bastardizations, insults to the Machine God! They must be purged!"
Caught off-guard by the sudden appearance of two more beings-- and beings that were much more hostile than the female, Eur'i took a couple steps back, cursing loudly.
"Gh-- what the hell are these things?!" He half-yelled, shouldering up his rifle to quickly take aim, popping off a shot at the bolter-wielding... monster's chest, with a round that would light the hallway up blue for a brief few moments, no matter whether he hit or missed.
Rowbutt grinned as he took a swing at the nearest monstrosity.
"Hereteks!!!" Thall scream furiously in both gothic and binary while firing his gamma pistol towards the direction of the monstrous creatures of corrupted science, trying to hit the closest threat. The ballistic mechadendrite followed suit by firing off a salvo of bolt shells at the same target.
"Thaddius! Shrike down these perversion of the machine and man with utter hate! Destroy Them!" Thall barked out in a frenzied rush. Thall then quickly had his optical mechadendrite link with Thaddius's sensors, allowing him to attack with improved effect at the horrors of unholy technology.
Kelrys snapped her pistol around, taking aim and firing off a few shots in the direction of the nearest mostrocity's limbs. She always made it priority to cripple an enemy before killing them. Take out their offensive capabilities and they can't defend themselves when you retaliate. In this case, she was shooting for the 'arms'.
Snugbuz fires His shotgun at the female monstrosity back lighting himself to the group.
Khrak charges towards the nearest enemy hoping to deliver a nasty hit with the spikes on the end of his rifle.
Felix rounded on the creature with the bolter and blade arm, aiming his shotgun at the figure and shooting off two quick blasts at it. The last thing they needed was to get surrounded and flanked. He kept crouched low - a habit from his years in the guard - and took cover in a clear door frame. He was sure to keep close to his comrades.
A calming prayer escaped his lips silently and he was prepared to swap to his power sword if need be.
Katherina opened fire at the creature which had tried kill Yaroslav. "The enemy approaches!" She yelled.
