Dwan was getting slightly peeved. "Don't you think it was about time you explained yourself? I revealed myself, just like you asked.", he said in a serious tone with a slightly sarcastic aftertaste.
Ject fired into the scene after seeing Sertum. He thought about and put two and two together. "The sword! Shoot the sword!"
It appeared as if the Madman's Vision had been drained somehow by Sertum. Mildly annoyed Lion folded it back up and brought out the Spacehawk one more.
He fired a rapid burst at the sword. "Give up Sertum! There doesn't need to be more death!"

Mini Roll[2]: As soon as Lion pulled out his gun Ject had already told him Sertum's Achilles heel. He side stepped the shot and heard him plea. "I will die along with this planet. No matter if I surrender. Harken Saw will kill me and the Crimus regardless!" He then sprinted towards Lion and leaped forward, sword in hand. He sliced Lion's other arm and then stabbed him through his torso.
Sertum sighed at the robot. It was true. There was no such thing as surrendering. It was life or death and Lion had to knew that. Lion was almost at his end while Sertum held the sword, pressing the sword forward.
Lion's eyes started flickering red. With one arm completely gone and the other cut off from above the elbow Lion could only do one thing: Headbutt Sertum.
"Killing me only proves my point: that you auditors wasted hundreds of lives just to achieve some imaginary power. Saw might not be a saint but neither are you."
He then tried to blind Sertum by activating every single flashlight and laser mounted to the sides of his head, pointing them at Sertums eyes.
As Viper leaped back just seconds before Lion unleashed the power of an power onto Sertum, monumentally blinded in the blast.
Viper soon found Lion implanted on Sertum's blade, it's failure once again to protect it's captain, it's friend drove the Sanghvi into an relentless frenzy towards Sertum.
All sense or thought of self preservation was absent in the Sanghvi's mind, only the life of Lion and it's comrades mattered in that moment.
Viper leaped into the air, launching an all out attack towards the auditor's backside with everything it had to save it's captain life.

Mini Roll Critical Failure[1]: "You're right I am no saint. But the other Auditors had no involvement of killing innocent people. I did it." He grabbed Lion by throat and saw him attempt to headbutt him. The flashing lasers Sertum attempted to dodge but did the deed. One last bad deed. He stabbed Lion in the throat, cutting off inch by inch his head.

"For hundreds of years the Crimus, a Kauzen civilization was in a dark age. Since the ascension the Richter sought a way to restore order and save lives with the use of the Oracle. A power source to save the Kauzen people. With resources fading and a dark age the Richter grew desperate to save his people and dealt with the devil himself. At the end of the alliance Harken Saw has decimated a Kauzen planet and crippled the Richter for good. Out living his usefulness."
"I was only a citizen who saw the destruction laid waste. I helped the Richter and swore to him I will avenge the people of the Crimus. By any means necessary to ensure no one would harm us again. I knew Harken Saw would come back and drive us to extinction. I sought a plan to frame them for their deeds. The devil has already spat lies and slander to attain his reputation. Either that or start an all out war with the Galaxy."
"I choose to do these deeds so no one may do it. I became a demon to fight the devil himself. The cycle of vengeance will continue no matter what we do." He finally concluded.
"You are better than I will ever be. You won't be forgotten." He said before stabbing him through Lion's head, twisting the blade.

Viper was again too late to save it's captain, too late to save another comrade, too late was the only words left in Viper's mind.
These, like all other thoughts vanished from it's mind as it's watched Lion's final death before it in the hands of executioner, an murder.
There's were no words to end this, no peacefully alternative to this.
The Sanghvi leaped in the arms of the unarmed Auditor in it's sights, this time to finish the job once and for all.

[Welcome to the afterlife club, bud. Have a seat.]
Dwan couldn't believe it. This entire battle, he was avoiding combat to see if he could get any info from Sertum, anything useful that might help them. But this cost Lion his life. He had yet to receive any info on the Conduit, but he didn't care anymore.
Dwan approached Sertum's sword and grabbed it.
Iska looked around the corner and watched Sertum saw Lions head off and drop his lifeless robot body onto the ground.
With her mouth wide open in surprise she dropped her cigarette and shook her head.
Lion had just died, Varn was dead, Yanim could be anywhere and now only Dwan, Pippin and Viper remained of the old crew. Iska was done feeling homesick and sorry for herself.
She jumped out from behind cover and unloaded a salvo at Sertum with the heavy machinegun.

Mini Roll[8]: Viper immediately used the same tactic over and fought Sertum hand to hand. Sertum got distracted before. His shields were disabled once again as the others fired.

Mini Roll[6]: Once Sertum's shields were offline but soon to regenerate Iska fired salvos from her machine gun. The rounds slightly denting the armor plates.
Bruta ran towards the same weapon Lion used on Sertum that orb thingy. He saw the lifeless body and saw Madman's Vision. Maybe they could try it once once. He grabbed Vision and observed it while Sertum was fighting with the others.
Dwan swinged Helden for a bit, as he tried to get a hand of the sword's balance. After he got a hang of it, he noticed Bruta checking the Madman's out. He quickly dashed towards him. "Need help with that?", he asked him.
Bruta shook his head and tried to focus simultaneously. "That sword is probably locked!"
Dwan shrugged. He put Helden onto the floor, switched his howitzer to electric mode and fired at the sword in an attempt to unlock it.
As Dwan attempted to unlock Helden to no avail. Bruta shook his head towards Dwan. "We gotta tire him out as much as we can while I'll aim this thing. Can you do that?"
Dwan nodded. He gave Lion's head a glance, before deciding to take it with him, thinking it might be useful later. He put the head into his backpack, as he stuck Helden into the ground.
He switched his howitzer to plasma mode, and proceeded to fire at Sertum.
The door was blown off its hinges. Several heavily armed men stormed in. Lasersights scanned the room for targets as the soldiers engaged the numerous militants inside.
All became quiet as the last body fell limp to the floor. "Clear!"
The squad leader motioned for the squad to spread out. "HQ, this is Rider One. No sign of the target, I repeat, there's no sign of Burke."
One of the soldiers rolled over one of the militants. Underneath his visor he widened his eyes. "Sir!"
Everyone in the squad turned to look.
Lying on the floor was a woman dressed as a militant, next to her a little girl who couldn't be older than at least nine years.
"HQ, update: Looks like the intel was off, the VIP was Ms. Burke and the Burke daughter."
"Copy Rider One, screen the room and head out."
The squad quickly snapped several pictures of the room and those that had been killed before heading out.
A few minutes later they left without a trace.
-----
A red flash caught the soldier's attention. "Huh?"
He looked down onto his wristmounted datapad. On the screen were the words "LINK TERMINATED" in bright red.
The soldier looked up. General Cross was still observing the horizon as the battle still raged on.
"Sir, I have some bad news."
Kaspar turned around.
"We've lost the asset. He's gone."
A mixture of sadness and anger formed in the generals face. "It's true when they say that good people die far too early."
He sighed. "Mobilize StrikeForce X, you know what we have to do. We need that package."
The SSFD soldier nodded. "Right away, sir."
A channel was opened. "StrikeForce X, you're green. Procceed with backup plan Alpha."
"Solid copy, out."

Most of the Archius was still relatively intact despite the heavy landing. Aside from the bridge which was pretty much gone alongside parts of the frontal hull the ship could still be repaired and repurposed.
Seven soldiers wearing nothing but black armor moved through the corridor outside of the medical bay, having accessed the ship through the hangar. Sparks and blinking lights played across the surface of their black-tinted visors.
With no markings of any kind the only things that were certain was the fact that the soldiers were human and that they were well trained.
A maintenance engineer with blood across his face and worn uniform stumbled out into the corridor. "H-h-help me."
The squad leader did several motions with his hands, before the engineer could react two of the soldiers grabbed him and slammed him into the wall.
He did a confused moan as a mixture of healing nanites and seditives were injected into his neck. He fell limp and the soldiers moved on.
As they reached the elevator which was currently at the top of the shaft the soldiers produced several curious devices from their backpacks which they used to build a small pad.
The pad was dropped at the bottom of the shaft and began to hover as the squad leader accessed his wristmounted datapad.
He stepped onto the pad alongside two of his men while the others took up overwatch postions next to the elevator.
Soon the hoverpad started going higher and higher untill they reached the locked bulkhead doors leading into the armory.
A charge was planted which used concentrated shockwaves to quickly force the doors open.
Inside weapons, tools, armor pieces and other objects could be seen strewn across the room as the soldier's flashlights scanned the room.
The trio worked their way in. "Spread out." The first words to be uttered ever since the team had boarded the Archius.
As the two soldiers searched the main armory area the squad leader opened up the door leading into Lion's quarters.
Surprisingly most items inside were still in their rightful place.
A red light coming from the charging station filled the entire room with a red hue. The squad leader carefully searched the room. He finally found a small box of personal belongings and for a moment he considered taking it before shaking his head, you don't steal from heroes.
With respect he placed the box at the workbench inside of the room before continuing.
As he reached the charging station he found what he was looking for: A storage unit masked as a external component. It was in a bland color with markings identical to the charging station itself and was not bigger than his hand.
He removed it and opened up the channel. "Overlord, package retrieved. We have the blueprints in hand."
"Copy, head on out. Transport is inbound."
The squad leader packed down the storage unit and was about to move out when the red light flickered, briefly showing the SSFD banner hanging on the wall.
He paused and looked up. "Give 'em hell, Sparta." He did a quick salute and moved out.

"This is Delta Two Heavy, we have reached the target." Said the SDF pilot as they reached their designated pickup zone.
A crashed ship nearby made him think of how powerful yet frail even the strongest of warships were.
He circled around and spotted a squad of SDF marines in shocktrooper colors waiting at a nearby dune.
For some reason they had no markings on his HUD, while odd it wasn't uncommon for the SDF HUD's to fail adding new units.
The dropship touched down and picked up the marines who looked as if they had spent a good week rolling around in the sand.
"You boys from the 71st?" Asked pilot.
The squad leader entered the cockpit and sat down. "Affirmative, why?"
"Heard you've been at the front for at least six hours straight now, tough work?"
"You could say that."
Pippin had reloaded his weapon and now with less discipline, being somewhat pissed off.
Viper press the attack, not letting him have the chance to even breath as it followed up with strike after strike on Sertum.
The mercenaries moved closer to Bruta's position. "Need a hand?"

Mordecai looked at his communicator as it was flashing. He had received a report from one of the vulture teams. The content of it surprised him. He looked over his shoulder and looked at Seth, who was busy giving commands. He turned around and started to leave the commander tent. He froze when Seth called him out. "Where are you going?" The old man looked at him and said with a calm voice. "Something important requires my supervision. Vigil business." After exiting the tent he send a command to his lieutenant. "Vulture 13, bring your package to my ship. If what you say is true, you just got promoted."
---
Mercury could feel the air leave his lungs as the kick send him flying across the room. He landed on his stomach but could feel his back ache as well. "I've heard that you were tough sons of bitches. Good, you wont brake easy." The big bastard was tough, but still human. Means he could be brought down. He walked over to Mercury and attempted to stomp him, only for the merc to roll out of the way. "Oh, you can still move? Good." There was another attempt to stomp him into the ground only this time Mercury grabbed his foot. "You talk too much." With a slight jerk of his hand a blade shot out from his wrist. It pierced the foot and the Gold dust howled in pain. "Playtime is over." The Boome got back on his feet and reached for his gun, only to get it knocked out of his hand. "No! We settle this like men!" This was gonna take some time.

"What do you think Vulture 1? Did the SDF find anything useful?"
The DV officer looked to the sky as the remains of ships we're raining to the ground. "Doubt it. We're here because Vulture 13 found something that has the executor exited."
"Do we really need this many teams combing through the Archius remains?"
"We're vultures aren't we?" He chuckled "If we're lucky, they won't notice our agents inside going through the archives, security and science lab."
"And if they do notice them?"
"Shoot to kill." He noticed the ship coming in for a landing. The SDF marines leaving the larger ship soon after. "Or not. Can't risk any more chances of exposure. Vultures report."
"This is Vulture 9. Archives are scanned and information on subject is secure."
"Vulture 10 reporting in. Science lab almost got discovered. Good thing for cloaks. Although the data recovered from the scientists here makes me wish they did find me. It's the stuff of nightmares."
"Vulture 11 here. Security room is checked and subject's belongings recovered. Although 11-3 got too curios and is now dead. He opened a box marked "do not open" found among subject's belongings. Some insect pierced through his helmet and is now laying eggs in his cranium. Administering burner solution to mask his identity."
"Good. And you Vulture 12?"
"Bar is fucked beyond belief. All the good booze is on the floor."
"You we're suposed to go to engineering, not the bar."
"Oh yeah. Went there. Nothing useful. Bridge is fucked too."
"Fine. Vultures get out of there now. We have what we need and will leave in 15."
The end is near, little time left. I suggest you get your Kanad friends out of this planet before something happens.
Yanim was in the middle of explaining the group's travel arrangements when the message came through. The warning was worded clearly; they needed to leave immediately. There was an attachment as well, but she would have to view it later, once they were safe.
"Change of plans," Yanim suddenly said. "We're going now."
"What do you mean? Where?" Neasha asked.
"Anywhere," Yanim answered fiercely. "Come with me, I'm going to tell the Boome commander," she quickly explained. The quartet hustled back over to where Seth was working. "Sir," she said urgently, "I've just received word from Saw that something catastrophic is about to happen to this planet. I encourage you to begin evacuating your entire force immediately."
Seth took his view off the map. "Is it that bad? I mean, if we leave our position here, we're gonna loose a strong foothold and the privateers are gonna get overrun. We also have a team down in the tunnels and your former crew is also there. Your experience with them aside, I can't just abandon them."
"Do you trust Saw?" Yanim said, pointedly. "His message was clear; I assume that he lacks either the willingness or the capability to evacuate his own forces. If you refuse as well, it would almost certainly result in a painful sacrifice, but one I assume your men are prepared to make. But I implore you, if not a full evacuation, that you take action to protect yourself." Yanim looked to the other commanders still present from the other mercenary factions, noting the absence of Mordecai. "If anyone decides to follow through, my crew of four would greatly appreciate seats on an escape vehicle. We can't afford to wait any longer."
"I don't trust Saw, it's why I'm skeptical of the message." Noble tapped Seth on the shoulder.
"You did see the giant space ball of death earlyer, right?"
"Yes."
"And the fact that saw's men are currently acting as butchers in a cheap horror movie, probably under his command."
"Where are you going with this."
"Well sir, as your second in command and chief adviser, I'm telling you that he probably has one more card up his sleeve and it may actually lead to turning this planet into a graveyard."
Seth looked Noble in the eyes and then back at Yanim "You made your point. We'll start evacuating. Get everyone back on the Talon and send a message to every commander in range. They need to know that Saw may have just fucked them over." He got up from his seat. "Our ship is landed in this base. Take whatever you have and go there."
As Seth turned around he bumped into Kaspar and his two bodyguards. "Something I've missed?"
"We're evacuating the surface. Saw is planning something and judging by his last actions it's gonna end badly for everyone still on the planet."
"Well then, that's what you get for letting a questionable CEO run things." He turned to the radiomen. "New orders to all units: Begin immeadiate evacuation, full-scale. All units are to disengage and fall back to the designated extraction zones."
He then fixed his gaze on Yanim. "It's good that you are still here, a medical squad focusing on body recovery reported that they had recovered a kanad. The tag left by one of the marine squads mentions, I quote; "A whole squad of kanads, one with a weird techno-tail". Seeing as youa re the only kanad around here with a tail I had the body transported to the nearby infirmary under the watch of Davis."

"Clear backblast!" The soldiers quickly hurried out of the way moments before a shoulder-fired rocket was launched away.
A Crimus APC in the distance exploded shortly after. Angry chatter could be heard as they reorganized their defense line.
A SDF squad leader was observing the front when a new order went through: Evacuate.
He tapped his second in command on the shoulder. "New order! Evac! ASAP! Spread the word, go!"
The soldier nodded and ran across the front to make sure all units received the message.
After a few minutes the Crimus forces could breathe a little bit easier as the massive SDF ground force slowly pulled back, leaving only empty magazines, blood, sweat and footsteps in the sand.
-----
"Almost there..." The sight was struggling to lock onto the target as the two ships raced amongst the deep cold space above Zeruel.
Suddenly a light turned red and the console started beeping. "Game over, lad."
The last of the Crimus ace fighters was almost instantly turned into a smoldering piece of debris which crashed into a SDF frigate, disrupting its shields temporarily.
McKinze turned around the ship towards the enemy battlecruiser right in time to see the bombers drop their payload into ventilation gap.
At first nothing happened but then when the ship tried to unleash another salvo at the SNV Mjolnir sparks started to appear alongside its armored hull.
"All sorties, clear out!" Yelled one of the squadron leaders as all remaining fighters and bombers, both Crimus and SDF, pushed the limits of their spacecraft's to avoid getting caught in the destruction.
Then it felt as if the entire world shook apart when the battlecruiser exploded, knocking out several dozens of smaller spacecraft alongside some nearby frigates and destroyers.
Soon the remaining Crimus fighters began pulling back to the heart of their fleet while the SDF fleet reorganized itself.
The hologram projector mounted next to the pilot seat then came on, showing Admiral Zhaneys.
"Admiral, good to see you're still alive and kicking."
The admiral laughed. "Likewise McKinze, I trust you're still up for another mission?"
"Name it and I'll do it." He winked jokingly at the admiral.
"Glad to hear; we have new intel from the ground: Something is happening down there so everyone has been ordered to perform a full-scale evacuation. While there's almost no Crimus forces left still on the offensive, I'd feel alot better knowing that half of our gunships and fighters would keep an eye on our transports."
McKinze nodded. "Copy that, sounds easy enough. Over and out."
The admiral nodded and the hologram disappeared.
-----
It had only gone a few minutes and already the SDF were clearing out as fast they could. Levaing only a handful of damaged Guardian tanks and Spear artilley pieces, most equipment was being hauled onboard.
As the skies swarmed with transports several SDF frigates joined in and landed to help evacuate vehicles and larger groups of soldiers.
One frigate in particular had been ordered by the admiral himself to recover the remains of the Archius, as it approached the crashed vessel the captain activated the hullmounted PA system. "SNV Sydney coming in, clear out."
Several mercenaries were spotted rummaging through the wreck but quickly scattered as the Sydney began hovering above.
"Fucking vultures." Said the captain as he shook his head. He turned to a officer at his left. "Begin airlift operation."
"Copy, airlifting is a go. Opening up bay doors."
The two massive doors opened up loudly. Several searchlights inside the belly compartment were fixed on the wreck.
"Activating gravity well."
Suddenly the ship, began hovering and slowly ascended into the frigate. "Closing bay doors and... there, gravity well offline."
A loud bang could be heard as the ship fell down a few inches ontop of the reinfored doors.
"This is the SNV Sydney, ship has been recovered. Heading to Termina Central for drop-off."
