He's right, and I was running that small because

A) I was idling!
B) While idling, I occasionally alt-tab back in to check if I found any items, and while doing that I often run into the middle of the arena to see if I get any attention.
C) My graphics card was having major issues, hence the 60FPS - I was doing some tests (turns out the fix is for me not to install mods)

See personally I would rather increase the res and lower the settings it looks better to me.
