:golfclap: Brilliant. Simply brilliant. This could perfectly fit around the game story.
Thank you, this brought about brought a tear too my eye. Please do tell me if anything should be added or changed, anyone. [editline]09:17AM[/editline]
^ That story made me sad.
:frown: It is kind of a sad story, but it sounds like it could fit into a tf2 movie just fine. btw, did you c wut I did thar with the name Tony "Mumbles" Chek
Here, I wrote this real quick for the spy. Quoted to make it a bit smaller.
This wasn't the first time this had happened. No, of course not. Franck Pierre had woken up many-a-times in places he had not expected. This one was... not so different. His arms, bound to a chair. His suit was unbuttoned. His invisibility watch was busted. Again. "Merde..." he said aloud as he opened his eyes. Another dark room, another interrogator, another bit of torture until he picked the handcuff locks and got his payback. It was really a bore when he messed up. A light suddenly came to life, blinding Franck momentarily. He winced and let out a sigh. His head pounded, a bump was likely forming in the back of his head that very moment, and the bright light was bringing on the headache. A woman's voice came, and it was surprisingly gentle. "Franck Pierre. Professional freelance infiltrator, extractor..." the woman paused and giggled, amused. "...assassin. Caught three times in the line of work. Once by Mann Co... escaped, killed six men on the way out and wounded three more. Once by Thunder Mountain Security Department... escaped and disrupted the cart tracks with an explosion that killed fifteen men. And once by us. My, my, my. You really are something, aren't you mister Pierre." Franck said nothing, merely watched the darkness around him for signs of the woman he had not yet seen. "But that's not all we know. You were born in Paris, France as an orphan named Didier without a known last name and had to pickpocket your way to survival. You were so good at thievery, you were picked up by one Adrien Pierre. You took his last name, he taught you things you keep to this day a secret, and you kept both you and his old geezer self alive. Just before his death, he gave you your cute little watch, able to keep you invisible so long as you stood nearly still." Pierre was listening, now. This was the only time anybody had ever pieced together his whole past, and it scared him that they knew so much. If they knew all this... "What do you want with me?" he asked. "If you're going to kill me, do it, I'm not here to play your games." "No, of course not, mister Pierre. You're here to steal our intelligence. And we know who hired you. Binski Paper Co, a sub-front for Reliable Excavation and Demolition. And we're not going to kill you, mister Pierre. At least not yet. We have a proposition for you." "Ja? And what would that be?" "You work for us. Your skills and cunning can't be matched by anyone, and we've done the research mister Pierre. You work for us, and in return we'll outfit you with the highest technology we can give you. A cloak that won't run out, a deadly accurate gun, a watch that can fake your death... " "And if I refuse?" "Then we kill you. The choice is yours." Franck didn't see many options, and from that day forth he was aligned with Builder's League United. Or was he?
Was he ever really on their side? v:v:v
Holy shit, you sure that was "quick"? thats freaking huge. Ill have to read it later when I have some time.
Semi-quick. Maybe 20 minutes.
OP
Thats nice, but I honestly wouldnt think heavy as "sad"
Heavy worked as a part-time bear but his hair fell out due to bear cancer and bear chemo so now he's Heavy.
pyro was a guy and then he was boobies
Demoman: Borned in Scottland with an African mom and a Scottish father. During his 9 years in the suburbs his father died from cancer. His mom took care of him for 10 years and she passed away from a car accident. Demoman decided to forget his sad moments and became drunk every night to lose his conscience. In his 25's he decided to join the Scottish army as a Demolition man. In his 35's (current time i guess) he moved to America to get a fresh start and forget about his dead parents.
His mother is still alive and she's scottish (And black) His father is dead though, I can't remember if you get a reason why but I guess it's not cancer rather that he had 27 jobs. He never joined the army. He was an orphan and got back to his parents when he had proved himself as a demoman which all good demomen do. Also he lives in a mansion in scotland with his mother (And why America? Almost all of the maps in TF2 are set in Australia) Don't you read the comics?
Let's see... Scout we all know more or less, grew up as the youngest brother of a litter of eight boys raised by a single Bostonian mom, trained to become very fast, etc. I guess one of his jobs would've been a paper route or two, but one important question remains: where did he get his double jump? Are his shoes engineered by Mann Co to generate a burst of upwards movement on command, or is this technique more of an "ability" than a gadget? If the latter is true, we should muse over another question; did he gain this ability somehow, perhaps from some crazy Chinese guy, or was this strange double-jump inherent to his family, caused by a genetic trait that tended to skip a generation, a trait which truly manifested during puberty? If the latter is true, then maybe the same trait that gave him the double jump allows him to move with such speed? Maybe it came from drinking Bonk! Atomic Punch? After all, Scout mentioned that "radiation's great for givin' people superpowers" or whatever during the Scout Update, so maybe his speed and double jump are his superpowers, and that Scout is, in fact, a young superhero who was snapped up by RED after discovering his powers. Soldier woulda been the kid of a military man, and was twisted into the psychopath he was through his father's constant berations and looking down on him. Soldier wanted to prove himself to his old man, but sadly daddy passed away before Soldier became a teenager. Being a firm believer in God an' all that jazz, he believed that his dad would still be watching him in the afterlife, and when war broke out in Europe circa 1939, he wanted to prove his manliness by fighting in the war, but America didn't enter World War 2 until 1941, declaring war on Japan on December 8th, and then beginning their push against Germany and Italy three days later. Soldier didn't care about that, and simply bought his own ticket to Europe, commencing a Nazi killing spree upon locating Poland. This went on for ten long years, 4 more years than usual due to the Nazis making a pushback during the invasion of Germany, using stolen Australian technology to turn the tide of the war, even going as far as injecting liquid Australium into the veins of their soldiers, yielding Nazistralians, a German perversion of the awesomeness of Australia. Thankfully the tide turned again when Australia entered the war in '49, ending their long period of neutrality and sidelining in the war, bringing about the destruction of the Nazis using an experimental Australium-enhanced atomic bomb. The bomb, codenamed Big Midas, turned the entire city of Berlin into gold, leaving an eternal testiment to the indomitable power of Australia. When Soldier heard that the war had ended, he ended his spree, feeling that he'd proved himself. Eventually, somewhere along the line between '49 and '68, he was snapped up by RED, and became the Soldier we all know and love. Pyro's story is still inconclusive. There's no exact trails to follow, so I can't even begin to make any informed guesses. Tavish DeGroot's story we already know: he was abandoned as a kid, blew up his original pair of foster parents, ended up at the Crypt Grammar School for Orphans in Ullapool, improved his bomb-making skills, lost his left eye, was reclaimed by his original parents, and eventually became a demolitions expert. However, his bloodline, the Highland Demolition Men, were descended from a powerful knight of the highlands, Sir Dominic the Eyelander, who selflessly gave up his own soul to forge a blade powerful enough to fight off the encroaching Vikings and Irish. That blade, the legendary Eyelander, named after Sir Dominic himself, came into Tavish's possession during the WAR! Update, a subtle solution to ending his friendship with a clone of the original Soldier, the aptly-named Jane Doe. However, what Tavish didn't know was that this blade would one day take him on a journey back to the North, to settle a score between his ancestor and the dreaded nemesis of the Highlands. But that's a story for another game. That's all I can be bothered with today. Also, all the BLU's are clones, only RED has the originals. Except for Dell, he's an original on BLU.
The OP mentioned looking for deeper meanings, so I'll give that a go. The Scout wears dog tags around his neck, so there's a very real possibility that he was at some point a soldier. The actual Soldier seems to be somewhat friendly to Scout, going as far as to call him "Son", which is probably the most respect he gives to any teammate. That further backs up the theory that Scout was a soldier, and also implies that they were in the same war in which Soldier was Scout's superior officer. [editline]04:36PM[/editline]
Also, all the BLU's are clones, only RED has the originals. Except for Dell, he's an original on BLU.
So Dell, being the original BLU, did some recon work, managed to get some DNA samples from each RED and created the clones himself. It's perfect.
The Medic, also known as (hurr german name heer) was a small boy, born and raised in a small home in Stuttgart, Germany. For many years he and his parents lived a nice and adequate life, showing love and affection for one another in a very, functional family way. Then, one by one things started to crumble, Medic's father lost his job, and the family quickly sank into debt. After a long time of feeding on scraps, his house was finally taken under Nazi Regime from his fathers' debt, and his parents were gunned down infront of him. He cried out in terror, and was pistol-whipped with the response from the officer being."Did zat sting?" in a sarcastic way. 30 years have past since then, and Medic is now a narcissistic evil individual with an un-holy interest in the human body, and how many ways it can be taken apart. He even sometimes still repeats what he heard when his parents got killed so many years ago, and that alone fuels his anger and his curiosity of how many ways the human body can be dissected. I'd write more, but I'm not inclined to Should I write more?
Interesting theory GrimBloodyFable, but it's debunked by the fact that Scout's likely in his 20's, and Soldier looks like he's in his late 40's. TF2 takes place in 1968, 19 to 23 years after World War 2, so Scout was likely still a kid when the war was going on. Besides, even if Scout suffered some kinda time jump or something, y'gotta remember that Soldier wasn't actually ever in the army, he bought his own ticket to Europe after being rejected by every branch of the military. Not to forget, America didn't fight in World War 2 until 1941, and Soldier was probably in Europe by November '39. Maybe the dogtags were from one of the other soldiers, some kid that died during the war that Soldier had an attachment to, maybe his younger brother or something, and Soldier later became friends with the Scout, with Scout looking similar to his deceased brother. Soldier probably gave him the dogtags as a gift, as if to secure the memory of his brother in the Scout, almost as if to ensure that through Scout, his dead brother would still be alive.
I'd love to see a Tf2 movie. A full one by Valve. The backstories, how the team started etc.

I thought it all through except the age of the Scout. Your theory sounds much more sensible than mine does. Welp, I'll think up something else later.

Both those theories are viable.
Scout Unbeknownst to his fellow mercenaries, behind the "tough guy" exterior, lies years of traumatic experiences which he had never shared with anyone before. You see, Scout had a very tough childhood and being the youngest son among seven brothers didn't make it any easier. His mother loved very much of him to the point of spoiling him. Mummy's little angel felt the same way too. Scout followed his mother anywhere and everywhere. Tugging at her dress whenever he wanted a lift on his mother's shoulder. She always obligated. How could she not? On his 10th birthday, the pair held hand in hand and went to Scout's first baseball game. The best gift ever. His mother gave him a kiss on his cheek and whispered of another gift. She brought out a wrapped baseball bat. Scout's eyes grew big in wonder. He tore apart the wrapping paper and held his first ever baseball bat. A wooden piece of art crafted by the very best in the industry. It felt good in his hands. Natural. Scout swung it at the air. "Bonk!", he exclaimed. His brothers were no doubt envious of the amount of attention their mother was giving to Scout. Blinded by jealously, they relentlessness bullied poor Scout. He tried to defend himself on several occasions but he was usually overpowered or outnumbered. At one point, his brothers had beaten him to pulp. Not wanting to upset his mother, Scout came up with excuses whenever she questioned him about his injuries. Scout wanted to deal it on his own. He wasn't a spoiled, defenceless brat like his brothers say when they mock him. He wanted to stand his ground against his horrid brothers. He thought of ways to handle his brothers. So he ran. Running helped him to think clearer. He ran for hours down blocks of houses until he had an epiphany. Baseball. Scout ran as fast as he could back home. He then heard shouting which could only mean that his father was back. Always arriving home drunk and making a racket. Scout's mother would try her very best to calm him down but there were repercussions. He would handle her aggressively. Sometimes even with a beating. But no more! Scout didn't want to see his mother get abused again by his idiot of a father. He snuck through his window as quietly as possible. Scout got dressed in his favourite baseball team's jersey and took out the present his mother gave him a few years back. With the bat in his hands, he burst through the living room where his father was. "Hey knucklehead, you ain't gonna win!", he said. As quick as an bink of an eye and as agile a cat, he leapt towards his father and immediately ending his tyranny. The impact from the bat basically killed him. His brothers and mother stood there with their mouth agape. Eventually, Scout's mother rushed to her husband's side. But it was too late. He was gone. "Hey, look at me, Ma!", said Scout. His mother turned around and gave him a hug. She told him he shouldn't had done that and he was going to be in trouble. Just as he was about to reply, the door bell rang. One of Scout's brothers went to greet the untimely guest. She walked into the living room with a menacing presence. With a cigarette in one hand, she gazed into Scout's eyes. This strange visitor finally spoke and offered his mother a proposition. A cover up for the murder in exchange for Scout's servitude.... One the day of his departure, Scout's mother wept non-stop. Her son was leaving the household to serve some eccentric woman. She handed him his father's dogtags as a goodbye and made him promise to keep himself safe. That he did, that he did.
:siren:Big post about Scout's weapons and items incoming:siren: So, I'm just gonna post all of Scout's stuff, what it is and what it implies, k? Weapons Scattergun: What it is: A lever action shotgun. What this implies: Lever action weapons are very popular for sport. There's a possibility that Scout is a fan of hunting. Force-A-Nature: What it is: A sawn off double-barrelled hunting shotgun. What this implies: Once again, being a hunting shotgun, it suggests that Scout enjoys hunting. The advert for it in the Scout Update claims that it's marketed towards the "particularly sadistic outdoorsman". This shows us that Scout's an outdoor enthusiast, as well as being sadistic (but we already knew that). Pistol: What it is: A simple pistol. What it implies: Not a whole lot, being just an ordinary pistol. If anybody knows the type of pistol the Scout uses, please tell me. It might help me out a little. Bonk! Atomic Punch/Crit-A-Cola: What it is: A radioactive energy drink. What it implies: Scout loves Bonk. I'd go as far to say he's addicted to it. Energy drinks contain a helluva lot of caffeine, so it's safe to say that Scout has a caffeine addiction. In the Scout Update's promotion of the weapon, he claims that it contains isotopes, "which are pretty good for givin' people superpowers." Why would the Scout believe that isotopes give out superpowers? Perhaps he read a lot of comic books prior to his job at RED/BLU. Lugermorph: What it is: Max's pistol. What it implies: Nothing, it's a promotional item. Bat: What it is: An aluminium baseball bat. What it implies: Scout's a baseball fan. We already know that. The aluminium baseball bat wasn't made until the 70's, so either this is a mistake on Valve's part, or Scout's a pioneer. If Scout has been given the first aluminium baseball bat, then he must have deserved it. This leads me to believe that Scout's a professional baseball player. Sandman: What it is: A cracked wooden baseball bat and a baseball. What it implies: For the Sandman to be cracked the way it is, it must have been hitting something really hard. It looks quite old, so I reckon the Scout has owned it for a very long time. The crack being at the end of the bat indicates prolonged use or Scout raging and hitting it against something. The fact that Scout's wrapped a cloth around it indicates that Scout cares about the Sandman, adding to the theory that it's from Scout's childhood. Hats: Batter's Helmet: What it is: a batter's helmet, obviously. What it implies: Nothing new, just evidence that Scout plays baseball. Bonk Helmet: What it is: a batter's helmet with two Bonk! cans attached. What it implies: Again, nothing new, proof that Scout likes baseball and has a caffeine addiction. Ye olde baker boy: What it is: a brown newsboy cap. What it implies: It's associated with newsboys (those guy who stand on corners and shout "Extra! Extra!"), who were typically poor and homeless. It may also be a reference to Kid Blink, a one eyed newsboy who led the 1899 newsboy strike, who also had a thick accent similar to the Scout's. Troublemaker's Tossle Cap: What it is: a beanie cap. What it implies: a criminal background. There's a clue in the name: "Troublemaker's". It's also worn by gang members, typically teenage ones. Given the Scout's personality, it's easy to imagine him as a gang member. Whoopee Cap: What it is: a crown with numerous badges. What it implies: This was a common hat with youth from the 30's and 40's. Kids turned their father's fedora inside out, trimmed it and dyed it. The badges could be a sly nod to Scout's baseball ability; the badges on the hat could be sponsors. So what do we have? Scout is: a fan of hunting an outdoors enthusiast sadistic a caffeine addict a comic book fan a professional baseball player the Sandman's owner, which is from his childhood possibly poor a gang member a rebel Anything in this list could be incorporated into the Scout's background. Go nuts, I guess.
Harley as an infant was the only survivor found after the vicious fire that claimed 164 lives on the Atlantic cruising ship Hot Mary. The child was moved to a privately owned orphanage by the country side, and was put up for adoption. When other children on the orphanage had been asked about their relationships to Harley, they have all claimed that aside from their playmates unorthodox fascination with fire, Harley was in fact a very kind hearted and supportive friend. At age 11, the 1953 forest was an incident that would directly lead to young Harley's disappearance for the next 6 years. Where Harley was or did during the disappearance is unclear, and upon would returning back to society remain a mute for following 3 years. In 1960, Harley applied to become a Fireman. Due to having excellent physique and a friendly personality it seemed that Harley would be more than perfect for the job. However upon failure to put out any of all the 11 assigned fires and for being the suspected cause of 7 said fires, Harley was eventually dropped. Later that year Harley got a job as a lumberjack, working by the very same Forest that nearly burned to the ground 1953. 6 months later, Haley was however dismissed on the terms of unprofessional behavior due to being caught setting trees on fire before cutting them down. Harley was beginning to have issues getting any new jobs due to people having heard the rumors and were not wanting to hire anyone likely to cause any arsons. Harley's last job as a gas station attendant would prove no better way to decrease the infamy that always seemed to follow, for the next 4 years the station would received numerous complaints about combusting car-engines after Harley had been attending to them. The night after Harley's dismissal in 1966, the gas station were nowhere to be found. It seemed all hope was lost for Harley, for where how could someone with such pyromaniac tendencies ever fit in? [editline]07:23PM[/editline] I have too much free time :3: [editline]07:25PM[/editline] I thought "Harley" would be a nice name, since it's still gender ambiguous.
Soldier was dropped on his head as a baby.
I really love the one idea about Soldier's suicide attempts, shall I elaborate? Soldier, "Jane Doe", was born in a small town. When he was only 5 years old, his town was ambushed and his family was slaughtered. But, Jane escaped with his friend Michael. (possibly scout's father, hence scout's dogtags, probably given to him from his father or soldier) Later, Michael sent Jane into the Orphanage system, due to his financial shortcomings. Jane was adopted by a drunk, abusive, black father. He was thoroughly beaten each week. Jane then was swept by depression, trapped in his own house, fed only once a day, and abused by his step-father. When Jane was 17, he broke into his step-father's house at night and murdered him with a broken piece of his bed mantle. Jane then decided to try for the army during WWII, but was rejected. (Blah blah blah stuff we already know) When soldier left Europe, he was greeted by a woman named Helen. She offered him the chance to kill as many people as possible, due to his semi-psychotic background, he accepted with glee. When Jane befriended Tavish Degroot, he was a happy man, for once in his life. When Helen decided to break their relationship, she found a picture of his Step-father. When the mysterious man entered Jane's apartment, he left behind a picture of Jane's step-father. Soldier was thoroughly enraged, and agreed to defeat Tavish. Soldier lives on today with his depression growing rapidly. Soldier wishes for death, because his employers force him to fight every day, hence the equalizer taunt/rocket jumping. Phewww.. Good one?
Sniper: Back when hammond hired him to kill dinosaurs. His main thing he wanted to do is be a sniper. He dressed up in a sniper uniform and killed raptors. But one day he was ALMOST killed by a raptor. Years passed and day gone by till Sniper joined a place called Red. Soon he was in battle with other snipers. [editline]06:46PM[/editline]
I'd love to see a Tf2 movie. A full one by Valve. His mom was a kind person who was married but then got a boyfriend called (Whatever spy's name is) One day scout was sitting at the table looking for a job. His brother was annoying him like any normal brother would. His mom said that her boyfriend the spy could get him into a job of his liking. The next day he boarded a train seems like no one was on it. Until something appeared. It was the spy. The spy greeted scout and told him what his job was. Soon scout was a member of team Red. Capping intels and killing heavys when they eat sandviches each day.

One day Saxton Hale had a one night stand with a young woman. The baby was Sniper, and he hated his father for not caring for his mother. He refused to use his products, instead cobbling together his own sniper rifle out of spare parts, and hand-making his other weapons, inspired by the Aboriginal people whom he befriended. Sniper also invented Jarate. Saxton Hale and Sniper were at the beach, and Saxton was hitting on the ladies which bothered Sniper, so Sniper took out a jar and filled it pee since he really had to go, and threw it at Saxton Hale. Saxton Hale was furious, and became convinced that his son was a mad man, when he was really just angry he didn't care for his mother. Saxton Hale later stole Jarate, claiming it was an ancient art he only recently revealed. He now picks off those with enough nerve to buy shit from Mann Co, taking them down with his Sniper Rifle and hand-made weapons. TL;DR Saxton Hale is Sniper's jerkass father and Sniper became a sniper to spite him.

I don't even know where that came from. Also, another theory: Pyro is four people. There's the husband wife team who work as pyros. They make sure not to hurt each other. There's also Abraham Lincoln, who's being kept alive via Not-Dyin' machine built into his air canister. And there's Engineer's pet, who wears his glove as a hat and wields the home wrecker. How do you know which one is which? The wife uses airblast skillfully and axtinguishes/flare guns her foes. She works as a Fire woman, and wears the Fire Fighter's helmet and her family's heirloom, the Vintage Merryweather. The husband is more gung-ho and backburns and shotguns his enemies. He works as a Gasman, and he's bit of a nerd; he still wears his propeller beanie and brainslug from his favorite Futuristic situational comedy, Married With Aliens. He also wears his Station Attendant's hat. Abraham Lincoln loves setting enemies on fire without doing much else. He wears a raggedy top hat or gentleman's grey bowler and tries to imitate his late beard by wearing facial hair over his mask. Engineer's Robot always roots out spies and keeps sentries safe. He obviously wears the Respectles Rubber Glove. Next time you see a pyro, take not of what they do. You'll soon get a feeling for who's under that mask. ALSO, one of Heavy's parents or girlfriend or wife or someone important to him was called Sasha, and they died after they had a verbal fight with heavy. This made heavy extremely depressed, so he went on a killing spree. When he got caught, they told him the only way he wasn't going to jail was if he worked for RED/BLU, so he grudgingly complied. The first thing he did when he received his weapon was call it Sasha, and it reminded him of all the good times he had. This made heavy content, that he was avenging his loved ones. In short, by using Natascha you're making heavy a very bad person. Use Sasha or he'll permanently quit the game!
