"Something Big" was just them thanking everyone, plus they have reached 121 episodes and are getting a hat. It just came at the wrong time due to all of the tinfoil hat assholes who decided to link this to KK just because of an ingame hat.

I wouldn't be so mad about the let-down of something we already knew if the podcast was actually fun to listen to. But it wasn't. These guys are terribly unfunny, the podcast is uninteristing, and there was nothing redeeming about the podcast.

That's the problem. And because of us, we lost 30 minutes of our lives. It's really disappointing when you or I took part in listening to Kritzkast with some expectation, turning out to be a big announcement for the dedicated listeners. That's why I hate surprises like this.

They did announce that another big thing related to Meet the Medic would be announced later on, but they're waiting until the end. They basically misled all of us to watch for the countdown, announce their hat no one but people who would've listened to the podcast anyway would've gotten, and then trying to get us to watch 'till the end :v.
Also, it ISN'T repeating. They're still covering live info.
Got to go in about 20min, site won't work so won't be able to get the Hat. I don't really care, i just wanted it so i didn't miss out. Oh well.

It's funny because the community always over-hypes things, and then they blame everyone else for disappointing them.
Somehow, a rumor got out that you'd get the hat for watching the stream. But according to Kritzkast themselves, that was never intended. So it just goes to show what kind of ridiculous hype and rumors people come up with to make any little situation a really big one.
