The TF2/Steam community is a greedy bunch of thankless wankers. Everyone is aware of this and KK did themselves no favours with the way they handled the situation. If they revealed what the surprise was straight off the bat (it wasn't really much of a surprise by the time of the podcast), most of the flak they are getting now, would have been avoided. When there is a misunderstanding and you have an opportunity to fix it, you fix it without hesitation.
