I realised I wanted a portal pin because Portal is awesome... I will never have one. :(
If you buy gift paper I'll trade you my genuine one, I use earbuds for all my miscs. Anyone know its market value, roughly?
Doesn't really have a stable one at the moment.

They are; that's how I traded mine for a Bill's hat, completing my list of items I want. (It's a short list.)
The fedora is common too. You don't see people saying "nope, fedora is too common". Honestly now, freaking hypocrites.
I should get Poker Night at the Inventory. I really loved Dangeresque 1: Dangeresque Too? and Dangeresque 2: This Time It's not Dangeresque 1! Then I'd be able to represent my pride in Strong Badia. [editline]21st April 2011[/editline] Also, about the Defiant Spartan: If it wasn't called that, I'd enjoy that hat, to be honest. The spartan connotations are obvious, but I feel the exaggerated roman soldier look makes sense with the soldier, who seems like he would do things like that.
If you just want the glasses, I can give you mine if you have some giftwrap. Same goes for the badge.
It seems like a decent game, I just haven't had a chance to get it.
Yeah, it's worth the cash and is pretty fun. I would've liked multiplayer though, but for that price it's still good.
But neon green rabbit heads make such nice targets.
I only see people "play" on Thursday, that's when the item drops reset. That's what happened to the game, it's no game anymore.
Honestly, I don't see the problem. They don't take anything out of the game. Plus, for the people who like to trade for hats, it gives them more to do in the game. It's not like the hats give you 2x damage.
Well I'd like hats to stay in-game if they some of them weren't so godawful ugly and unfitting. (Dapper Topper)
My goal was to acquire Stainless Pot with Hearts and a Frying Pan and jerk around in Soldier class. Shouldn't trade the most rarest promo items for a few Vintage hats back then. But life goes on. I agree, hats are common now. Too bad the most common ones are the promo hats and traded for a plethora of items.
Going by how much you like a hat is impossible, trade it for something lower in value and your digging yourself a hole, since what you like can change and getting out of a hole with a chair is harder than with a ladder. such is life in non communist tf2.
The Old Guadalajara is my favorite hat in the entire game, and I couldn't care less about if it "used 2 b a carte hat so it sux xDDDDDDDDDD". Though in the end it's a haters gonna hate situation. I don't even mess with hats in the game anymore.
Apart from the Hound Dog. It's still impossible to get.
I once had a painted non vintage hound dog, wanted to trade it and someone said "lolno its ugly as hell"
I am loving of my Merrywether and Milkman and I don't give a fuck HOW overused they are or are not because I like them for what they look like, not because they're super fucking ultra rare.
:hf: I like my whoopee cap and i don't give a damn about other's opinions

Uhm, what happened here?
I'm proud of my Vintage Demoman's Fro and Modest Pile of Hat, I got them back when hats were still rare
I collect hats/make profits on trades, but I wear the hats that I like. I wear my Football Helmet proudly even though noone seems to like it.
I wear hats I like as well. But sometimes I raffle the ones I like, but I don't care. It still baffles me how people are going fucking crazy over pixels. :colbert:
Who necro'd this thread hnngh
It was clearly a matter of time before hats became too common. And it's only a matter of time before Unusuals become too common if they aren't already.
I don't see hats as a status symbol; as in, I don't see the $100 Japan hats making the player a loving godsend to humanity. I just see hats as personal identifiers. You can make stereotypes about them, usually the Gibuses and Alien Swarm bearers aren't all too bright; but I care about them in the way of: "That really skilled player is wearing a Chieftan's Challenge, I know to look out for him." Hats have no value to me other than if they look cool and I personally want them. I'm getting tired of people going: "Well, I really want that hat, but it isn't worth anything. So I'll only give you some metal and a crate for it."
I gave all of mine away. I'm done with Hat Fortress 2 forever, good riddance. I'll always remember the good days though. When there was no talk of worthless cosmetic items, no stupid broken economy, and shitty promotional items designed to con morons out of their money. There'll never be another game like it :sigh:
