yeah well most of my hats are non-vintage anyway. all of them are painted though, except trophy belt.
but i like to keep my vintage weapons to myself.. i've had em ever since. occasionally i hand out the newer/random non-v crap for free.

I still lack a hat for soldier.
Though I believe the stock helmet is one of the best hats for Soldier actually.

That was my goal once trading came out, and as of 2 months ago I've accomplished it :buddy:
I dont care about rarity or unusuals, I just wanted a nice hat for every class.
Today someone asked me why I'm wearing the Spiral Sallet, instead of Honcho's Headgear, that it seems to be one of the ''high-tiers'' for the solly. Simply because I like it; I obviously like Honcho too but I prefer to wear the first one.
I think that a lot of people today wear ''high-tier'' hats not because they like them, but for their rarity.
Hoarders completely miss the actual point of hats, to look how you want to look.

I tried to trade for those at some point in the past and never did get any reasonable offers. So I would disagree that those are cheap.
Soldier's Stash is common. I wear it proudly.

Pillar with green fetti. Why does everyone hate the towering pillar? It just defines TF2.
My black Engineer's Cap and black Napper's Respite are my most prized possessions. Not trading them for anything.
A bit late to the party it seems, but it would seem the TF2 economy is ruled by supply and demand.
A new hat comes out, its worth a lot because not many people have it, its more rare, less people have it, more people want it.
HOUWAR is ugly as fuck, people just like it 'cause its rare.
Bill's hat is the perfect example of what a promo item should be, a small homage to another game that doesn't bend the artstyle too far. And it isn't worth all that much compared to some other promos.
Reminds me of some guy saying "Buying all dupes of Genuine hats", he had no genuine hats at all, I offer my Hachimaki, and he says "It's too common."
Proves how dumb he is.
