"Hats being too common" - Games

I think Ellis Cap looks good on some classes, even though it's almost worthless.

I wish I had all those hats people do not want.

Cause Bill's Hat looks nice on any class and it isn't garish.

I collect hats based on how they look, not based on how rare they are. If I see a Spy wearing a Backbiter's Billycock, I'll compliment them. It looks good. I'm not going to hound them because they are wearing a common hat. It's silly. The point of hats is to customize your character, it's the point of all cosmetics in Team Fortress 2 and to not like a specific hat because of how common it might be is silly, in my opinion. Collect the hats you like, whether or not they are common.

Ironically, barely anyone wears common hats, meaning it's [i]un[/i]common to actually see one. Besides the Gibus, I only see the really popular expensive hats worn.

Every time I get a hat, I sell them and just wear my Lo-Fi Longwave with pride because it looks nice.

the magicka hood for demo is pretty cool tbh, i saw one demo with yellow magicka hood and it didn't even remind me of the magicka game.

Have you people heard of positional good? It's an economic concept where an item is valued by the possessor simply because it's valued by people who don't possess it. That's what hats are. If the trader owns something that the rest of the TF2 community has, then it become useless to them.

The whole vintage thing is driving me crazy. Valve should have never done that, it has added a pointless value to items where it wasn't needed. It is blue text for fuck's sake.

Painting a bills hat pink as hell is the true way to win team fortress 2.

I'm pretty sure I blacklisted myself on TF2TP anyways :v: every so often I used to put up ridiculous trades to see what kind of offers I'd get. I got a ton of paint that I traded for minuscule amounts of metal. However, now even when I put up reasonable trades, I don't get any offers anymore.

To me a hat is a hat, I don't give a fuck if it has green text, blue text, "ruins the art style," too common, or what other bullshit people say to over or under value X hat. I see a hat, I like how it looks, I acquire it using trading or crafting. If I don't like it I trade it for a hat I do want. Once I have all the hats I want I wait for the next round to go live. That is how I play [del]Hat[/del] [B]Team[/B] Fortress 2

I had 80 hats (about 50 vint) within the first 3 months of trading. I gave them all away though. Yes, hats can be way too common.

I have [U]no craftable hats.[/U] Not one. And I'm proud as fuck for it.

I don't own a single craftable hat I don't like. (I keep my promos in the basement of my items, even though I do like a few of them.) Also, I think the Ellis Cap looks awesome on Demoman (at least in the equip item screen). My favorite combos are my Tosslecap w/ Earbuds, and my Picklehaube w/ Medic Mask. But I recently gave my Mask of Medicine away to somebody who deserved to have it.

What I hate is when I have a "common" hat that I like but then I get bored of it (kinda like a toy or something) and want to get a different hat, but nobody wants to trade :frown:
