Sure! :buddy:
me too ;)
I think the fonts you use are good for the title, but the TF2 Secondary font in bold, with a big font size, and in all caps would work a lot better for the buttons. The "FORUMS" button is an example of what I'm talking about. Also, an "about" page with the most important/productive members and website information and such might be nice.
First off, img_thumb that please... Secondly, it looks a little weird with the tf2 secondary font, perhaps we should keep it at the orginal font..
I'm not touching the fonts. [editline]02:50PM[/editline]
First off, img_thumb that please... (and now you edited it away)
How's the site looking sheriff Galago?
I added an easter egg page because I couldn't figure out a problem. (ArsonBoy, you slayed my automerge)
oooh, sounds great. Will it be world endingly good, or a simple tid-bit for us to see...
As i mentioned in the previous thread, let me know if you need any help with ze code. I suspect you'll be fine, but I'd be glad to lend a hand.
Take this guy upon his offer! He made the TF2stats site.
Really now? He could be a valuable credit to this site!!!!
I'm not dead yet! [IMG_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2319552/emporium_5th_html.jpg[/IMG_thumb] That took me forever.
The other background looked better, imo.
Looks great, keep up the great work.
why is it so small, something like this doesnt need aesthetics it needs function, bad site idea nice try
why is it so small, something like this doesnt need aesthetics it needs function, bad site idea nice try
You're retarded. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - verynicelady))
You're retarded.
no im not im giving you valuable critique from the end user who doesnt suck dick and say everythings good if it has the words "tf2" and "emporium" on it
Sounds good already!!!
Hooray! Glad to see this is still being worked on.
By the way, I removed the Goldrush backdrop because I still need to work out a kink in that system.
why is it so small, something like this doesnt need aesthetics it needs function, bad site idea nice try
Parky, learn to wide-screen.
I just moved everything to a high-capacity host, that should be enough for the near future - 1Gbps line, unlimited bandwidth and 'unlimited' space - we should be able to host all the files ourselves for quite some time.
Sorry to burst your bubble chief, but it's on a 100mbps line. If problems arise we can upgrade it to a 1000mbps port speed. Same for the HD, that 'unlimited space' is dependent on the fact that we can install new HD's or if the rack limits us to a few, swap out current ones for larger capacity ones, the latter of course will result in a few hours of down time.
Galago I'd love to help out with this website somehow
+1

StinkyJoe, or Galago, I can be up for programming a client-side backend program to automatically install mods without the need to download, unpack and put in the right place. Send me a pm if you want to talk about it.
Little mockup I threw together. All shopped, except the window (I created an empty window with a few lines of code just for the purpose) My idea for the program is to work in 2 ways: either from the site, by clicking on download on one of the mods it opens one of those links like tf2emp://72615, and the program directly downloads the mod, or by popping in the link (or maybe just a number, the program could fill the rest by itself) and pressing the button. The latter one could be useful for sharing mod links between people on chats or forums.
That looks pretty damn cool Tera
I don't wanna download a program just to download mods
I don't wanna download a program just to download mods
It is meant to install them automatically and setup everything without moving a single finger. It could even unzip files and make coffee.
I don't wanna download a program just to download mods
Agreed. There's no point in having a program do what a half decent website can do.
As I said, the program is not meant to be used for browsing mods. It is meant to download the mods and set them up without moving a single finger. Here's a little scheme: Browse the site > Find a mod you like > Click the download button > Program runs and downloads the zip file > Program unzips it and puts the files where they belong Done. The user did nothing except browsing the site. Normally they would have to download the pack, unzip it and transfer files, and make sure they are put in the right place.
