[QUOTE=StinkyJoe;23039758]Lookin' good. [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Tpexo.png[/IMG_thumb][/QUOTE] Curse you and your URL blocking powers :arghfist::saddowns: Looks really nice though...
Yeah it looks really good, keep it up.
Also: for the forums, can we stick to BB code if possible? It's just so much easier than html.
agreed
Will the forums use vBulletin? Cause the rest is crap.
So will this application work like the Garry's Mod addons folder?
[QUOTE=Lemonator;23040650]So will this application work like the Garry's Mod addons folder?[/QUOTE] Are you talking about mine?
[QUOTE=TerabyteS;23040693]Are you talking about mine?[/QUOTE] Yeah he is, man.
[QUOTE=Lemonator;23040650]So will this application work like the Garry's Mod addons folder?[/QUOTE] Well. It will use its own installation folder to store the files that are unticked from the list. But it will just be used to put files in the right place automatically, so no.
Terrabyte, would you be able to add a function to the application that allows the user to choose which hat the mod will replace, or is that impossible?
[QUOTE=Hellduck;23041112]Terrabyte, would you be able to have the application choose which hat the mod will replace, or is that impossible?[/QUOTE] I think that is up to the creator...
[QUOTE=Hellduck;23041112]Terrabyte, would you be able to add a function to the application that allows the user to choose which hat the mod will replace, or is that impossible?[/QUOTE] First, it's Terabyte, and yes that could be done with a bit of work. But it can be dangerous because the author may be including that in the pack already. So I'd say leave it up to the author.
I meant if the creator were to release the replacement for more than one (I honestly think they should be obliged to make it replace any hat for the intended class) then could you have the option to pick which hat it replaced on the application as opposed to the site? [editline]12:03AM[/editline] And sorry about the double r thing.
But the coding can be taken from the game files of gmod, so mods are taken from one master folder. I'm unsure though, I could be wrong.
[QUOTE=StinkyJoe;23039758]Lookin' good. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/Tpexo.png[/IMG][/QUOTE] What did you change? It looked like that before :ohdear: Also, the icon I made doesn't seem to be registering with Chrome (see image above).
[QUOTE=Galago;23042852]What did you change? It looked like that before :ohdear: Also, the icon I made doesn't seem to be registering with Chrome (see image above).[/QUOTE] I think he's showing that the actual site works in all browsers.
[QUOTE=Hellduck;23043159]I think he's showing that the actual site works in all browsers.[/QUOTE] I thought that was assumed :ohdear:
[QUOTE=TerabyteS;23038304][IMG]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2951174/empclient/empmock2.jpg[/IMG] New mockup. Basic features would be: [LIST] [*]Automatic download and unpack of mods into the folder where they belong, in 2 ways: [/LIST] [LIST=1] [*]By clicking a button on the website, which has a link similar to "[B]tf2mods://72615"[/B] [*]By popping the mod ID in the program and clicking the download button. [/LIST] [LIST] [*]Possibility to set for which account the mod should be installed. Accounts are set-up from the settings tab which is shown by clicking the Gear button. [*]Possibility to enable/disable mods, which will be copied to a backup folder and removed from the TF2 folder, where they'll be stored and from where they'll be picked when the mod needs to be re-enabled. (thanks FireSlash) [*]The star button scans for updates of all the mods and shows which ones need to be updated (if an update feature will be implemented in the site). [/LIST] Got anymore ideas? Also I'm not sure if Galago saw my previous post.[/QUOTE] I don't know why so many people are opposed to this idea, as long as it's OPTIONAL. If users can choose between doing it manually or letting a nifty tool do it, what's the problem? If you're someone that downloads and uses a lot of mods, a tool like this could be useful. I'm not sure how you would integrate it cleanly into the site, two separate download links / buttons seems a bit tacky. You could always have it as a separate element, where users find a mod they like, copy the download link, paste it into the tool and hit go but if it was integrated where one click meant the tool automatically opens and extracts the mod it would be a lot better. Also if the tool had the option to automatically close itself after installation of a mod was complete. At that point we'd be doing single clicks to install mods; it would be glorious. But as I've said, it would have to be optional. Forcing users to download a tool just to get the mods would be a no no in my book, but hey I'm not the boss for this project, just my .02
[QUOTE=Galago;23043213]I thought that was assumed :ohdear:[/QUOTE] But weren't there some issues with IE?
[QUOTE=Hellduck;23043500]But weren't there some issues with IE?[/QUOTE] Originally, yes. Now, it's just missing CSS3 functionality, no biggy.
[QUOTE=Galago;23044311]Originally, yes. Now, it's just missing CSS3 functionality, no biggy.[/QUOTE] I don't even know what that is. :v:
Me and Galagos just signed off on the layout design, and I've finished putting everything in place with the framework we'll be using - I'm ready to continue coding the individual sections of the site.

[QUOTE=StinkyJoe;23046675]Details only pop-up when you hover each gallery image, don't worry.[/QUOTE] Oh ok, I thought it would stay there permanently. Once again you fine gentlemen astound me!
Looking sweet!
[QUOTE=Keychain;23046787]Looking sweet![/QUOTE] Agreed, it's pretty cool.
So, any good outlooks on the upcoming beta for TF2emp.com?
