Wasn't the demoknight created orginally so the demoman would have the ability to perform in close range combat without blowing himself up?
You have to understand that valve don't understand what their weapons will be used for. To this day they still think that the Direct Hit is a long range weapon as opposed to close.
Any speculated release date?
Any speculated release date?
Nope.
Any speculated release date?
Nearest would be Tuesday.
Any speculated release date?
Just the ones people needlessly hype up so that we all can be disappointed at something.

The Direct Hit is theorically for long range precise shots, but that won't stop people from using them in medium-close range. Same thing with other weapons: for example, the Huntsman is theorically for medium-long ranged shots, but there'll be always one guy going Rambo and shooting arrows directly at your face
Just the ones people needlessly hype up so that we all can be disappointed at something.
It's like the Portal 2 ARG all over again
It's like the Portal 2 ARG all over again
Except that had things important like potatoes and hard puzzles that grow your e-penis.
Honestly, as a medic, soldiers are low on the list for potential pockets. I'll explain -- Soldiers need to have pinpoint accuracy and know how to lead rockets to be effective. They have very limited ammo and need to know how to conserve shots (especially w/ Blackbox). Because of those two things they also make bad uber targets. I know that whenever I uber it's to push and destroy a sentry that is stopping my team from advancing. A soldier is probably the worst combat class suited to destroy sentries. He only gets 4 (or 3) shots on a sentry and unless he's using the Direct Hit that is not going to cut it. A demoman simply has to just spam stickies and he takes out both the sentry and engineer in one charge. The soldier is isn't even the best kritz choice either, imho crit stickies (crickets?) are far more effective than crockets. So basically just pocket demos P.S. Also don't forget retarded soldiers that pull out their equalizers during an uber
P.S. Also don't forget retarded soldiers that pull out their equalizers during an uber
I remember when a Soldier pulled out his equalizer during an uber. I yelled at him for a bit, then he responded 'Ran out of ammo'. He had the gunboats. Then I felt bad.
I remember when a Soldier pulled out his equalizer during an uber. I yelled at him for a bit, then he responded 'Ran out of ammo'. He had the gunboats. Then I felt bad.
That's what he gets for equipping gunboats. JK!
P.S. Also don't forget retarded soldiers that pull out their equalizers during an uber
As a medic, I am rather worried about the "Blocks healing while in use" ability. It's going to be painful to watch another class slowly burn to death because of it.
I remember when a Soldier pulled out his equalizer during an uber. I yelled at him for a bit, then he responded 'Ran out of ammo'. He had the gunboats. Then I felt bad.
A quick run through of his loadout can help (mash f a few times). It's helpful when you're a medic.
A quick run through of his loadout can help (mash f a few times). It's helpful when you're a medic.
I know about that, I use that often. I just assumed he has shotgun. Face it, you don't see many gunboat soldiers around.

The only time I ever see a Direct Hit solider get any decent kills is when he's blindly spamming it at point blank, because the damage ramp-up at that range is bad enough to kill 125 health classes in a single shot. As for huntsmen, I just see those spammed period. Sad to say that they can get headshots at point blank, rather than going with a longer-distance = higher-damage idea.
The only time I use Direct hit is if the other team is stacked with heavies
Now if there would be promos for Half Life 2 mods. They need MUCH MORE attention, like Pirates, Vikings and Knights II for example. Excellent game, balanced yet fun. Still, it has really small playerbase.
This. They could promote it with Medieval mode. Maybe make a joke about how its way better than Medieval mode. Maybe even add PVK like hats for medieval mode?

When your pocket Soldier is skilled, he should have some rockets loaded. And you aren't supposed to take down a sentry just with one soldier, the whole team should attack the sentrys. Just my opinion.
From the hats, I only want the pocket medic, Western Wear and the Splendid screen. From the packs the only one that interests me is the sniper one.
I know about that, I use that often. I just assumed he has shotgun. Face it, you don't see many gunboat soldiers around.
That's the major reason why I use that mod that adds a cape to gunboat wearers. They'll never fool me again!
From the hats, I only want the pocket medic, Western Wear and the Splendid screen. From the packs the only one that interests me is the sniper one.
I have a feeling that the Pocket Medic will be a misc. Not a hat.
I have a feeling that the Pocket Medic will be a misc. Not a hat.
its easier to say hats instead of hats and miscs
Specialty could be all players using the same class. Therefore there is a certain specialty you must be good at to win the round. Although holy shit Demoman specialty rounds...stickies everywhere.
What if Specialty is just vanilla? Like Demomans specialty is just his grenade launcher, sticky launcher and bottle.
What if Specialty is just vanilla? Like Demomans specialty is just his grenade launcher, sticky launcher and bottle.
I want to believe this, but it hurts too much to know it won't be that anyway.
I don't really care about promos since the game is being updated with new stuff atleast, even if they're hats. at this point most developers would have ditched their game already and would focus on the next one. besides promos are good for getting a game known
As someone who loves Monday Night Combat I realize that the game would have much ;ess plaers if not for TF2. Thanks promos! (Now if you could just give me my 60 FPS back Valve that would be great)

It's all about marketing - game goes bad, make a few models, ask valve to put them in - sales triple for a few days
Well... It's because there is no IDLE and HATS and people play for Fun... and for prestige...
Wait... play... for fun? I dont understand.
People are still idling?............. why?
