But we already have grenades. They just take the form of jars. :v:
Also: "C'mere, cupcake."
Also: "C'mere, cupcake."
Cupcake nades confirmed.

So, are those packs and items that were in the list NOT going to be in game now, or are they going to be in sometime later? Like the One Thousand and one Demoknights, Goal Keeper, etc?
Sometime later probably.

Does anybody remember how long the polycount event took?
That was because they had to judge thousands of items, and pick winners. These weapons are already in the translation servers.
That was because they had to judge thousands of items, and pick winners. However many Polycount entries there were, there'll probably be at least five Saxxy videos for every one Polycount.
Well, my guess was that we take the time it took them for the polycount event and divide it 2/3. Care free to toss around estimates.
well, voting for the Saxxy's ended today... so now the highest rated videos will be sent to Gabe Newall's palace on Tatooine. any videos that fail to amuse him shall be cast into the Rancor pit. so, each video is at most one minute long. one video can be submitted a maximum of 20 times (once in each category). so 20 potential entries per person who entered... so each person has at most 20 minutes of video... so yeah... I'm sure someone has enough time on their hands to get something outta this :P
another week till we see candidates
"Stay tuned for the nominations and a final round of voting to choose the winners." So, two rounds of voting left...I want my STS Update now :(
This is why leaks like this are are bad. I just know people will get pissed at Valve if they don't release it soon, and that's only because they never meant for people to know about it, something which is completely unfair on them.

EDIT: im excited myself, but its not like there arent other games to keep you entertained for awhile. Minecraft 1.6 just came out, as an example.

They have a TON of videos to sift through before they let this thing drop. I'm excited, but it's not like I'm calling for Robin's head on a pike unless they release it RIGHT THE FUCK NOW. if this leaked info is anything to go by... the fact that apparently the items posted here are only HALF of what was translated... that Meet The Medic surpasses all other Meet The X trailers... believe me, if any of this info has any weight to it... this thing is worth the wait...
believe me, if any of this info has any weight to it... this thing is worth the wait...
Is it weird that this part of the post made me think of Gabe Newell saying "Hopefully it'll have been worth the wait" then loads of people using that voice clip in stuff and passing it off as him saying "worth the weight"?
Detonator will hopefully be a lemon launcher [editline]28th May 2011[/editline] I hope to see the saxxy winners sometime soon, Its not easy going through loads of terrible ones.
Detonator will hopefully be a lemon launcher
I'm not so sure about the detonator's position, it had some crazy effects in the beta and they need to work out the inconsistencies of flarejumps
I'm not so sure about the detonator's position, it had some crazy effects in the beta and they need to work out the inconsistencies of flarejumps
Flarejumps are an unintended side effect, I don't think that'll be worked out at all. And what crazy effects?
the detonator is going to be a firecracker launcher. The sounds kind of give that away.
just found a Noh Mercy last night *fistpump*
Flarejumps are an unintended side effect, I don't think that'll be worked out at all. And what crazy effects?
I mean more so about the effects of flarejumps, they were pretty comparable to sticky jumps, that plus how much easier it was to hit people with it compared with the flaregun, and the change that made all flaregun hits on burning targets do 90 damage was pretty crazy. And I doubt flarejumps were unintended. If any thing I think they would of wanted to at least see what would happen if the pyro got a rocket jump of sorts.
And I doubt flarejumps were unintended. If any thing I think they would of wanted to at least see what would happen if the pyro got a rocket jump of sorts.
The LAST thing I'd want to see is flying pyros.
The LAST thing I'd want to see is flying pyros.
What's he gonna do, airblast you away? Seriously, an airborne Demoman or Soldier is far more threatening than an airborne Pyro. The Pyro's main method of dealing damage can't do shit while airborne, the next best bet is to reflect incoming airshots or hope that you're airborne long enough to get a second flare off. Explosives still have high damage and admirable range and a much faster refire rate, so don't bitch about flying Pyros when there are more potent adversaries who've been airborne since 1996 but no one's complained about extensively. To top things off, the Pyro would be required to restrict his/her loadout to include the Detonator if he/she wants the option of going airborne, Soldiers and Demomen have always had that ability native to their weapons of choice (with the exception of the chargin' targe since it's a voluntary removal of that ability that's somewhat still possible with the Grenade Launcher)

This is the only "mobile" combat class that is, for the most part, completely grounded. Heavy is grounded as well but that's because he's a goddamn tank, he shouldn't have more vertical mobility than the Pyro (GRU jumps allow Heavies to reach places that Pyros cannot [without assistance]). If your team's incompetent, then Medic probably isn't the best choice of class if you have low patience or get annoyed easily.
