I've crafted up six refined, which is pretty good, but that's only enough for 2 random crafts... I'd like to be able to press my luck a bit more.
So here's my proposition. It's not much, and I fully expect some Boxes, but here goes:
If any of y'all are feeling generous and wouldn't mind giving stuff to a greedy bastard like me, I'll gladly take it. When the update is shipped I will craft together EVERYTHING and press my luck for a new hat.
Here's the catch for those who'd like stuff back: If I go through all of the metal and end up with a hat that is not from either the Uber Update or the Replay Update (or I just don't like it and it's from one of those updates), I will give it to the person who gave the most to me in the first place. Yes, that means that if only one person gives me a single item and I don't craft a hat I want you technically get a hat for an item. Not exactly "free" but whatever.
If I DO craft a hat(s) I want, whatever is left over after everything has been crafted will be given in its place. If I am out of metal but with that last craft I make gives me a hat I want, I will give up my Connoisseur's Cap to the largest donator.
I apologize if this is greedy or not technically fitting for the Free Hats thread... But if you're willing to donate, I'm open and very, [i]very[/i] grateful. Thank you all.

-The "contest" ends at Midnight EST on Thursday!
-WARNING TO HAT GIVERS: Don't shell out the big guns just yet! Remember that once you trade me a hat [i]you have traded it,[/i] and it [i]will[/i] be crafted. So if you give me a hat and then another person gives a better hat, or a hat and some more stuff, unfortunately you're out of luck.
-HOWEVER, I will put forth this condition: if you offer a hat, and another offers a better hat, you may switch out your hat by trading me and trading a hat of greater value than the other person's hat for your original hat.
Please, when you say you will donate, provide your steam ID and your items of donation in a post: you will then be added to...
