I've been setting up scrims with them (the current roster vs. some pickup teams of comp. players) and they've been doing well so far getting to know each other. Engie on the pub side was doing pretty bad during the badlands round. Too much turtle tactics. And pub just needed to reach the first checkpoint to win in badlands?

And yeah, I didn't really turtle - most of the time, I had level one sentries covering flanks and then after that I was basically a weaker scout. Although, I gotta hand it to our spy - he was actually really good and got a lot of key stabs, especially on their medic that allowed us to cap mid :)

You're forgetting that half of those players were CEVO-P and the rest were high CEVO-A (except for Blackbanjo, he's a baddie :3), and that the minute I try and set up a sentry or waste time building a level 3, it'll go down practically immediately on a map like badlands. You're not in the position to call people terrible when you're probably bad (or, if you're the 'Gaming God' that you're making yourself out to be, go ahead and try to prove it to me so I know you're not smack talking like some arrogant piss). I still don't know what your problem is, I'm just trying to introduce players into the scene, it's not like I'm trying to turn you into a Communist. You're making a problem out of something that isn't even there to begin with.

ha i actually went and watched the videos (the badwaterones). god both spies got their shit wrecked. Wins on A/D maps are based off of a 'stopwatch' system; one team is attacking, then the teams switch and the new attacking (previous defending) team has to get as far as the first team did faster to win. Because the comp players didn't make it to the second point, all pub* had to do was reach the first point faster.

CEVO-P = the Pro league of CEVO (a tournament) that you have to pay entrance fees and in return you get big cash prizes. Generally, if you're in this league you're a pro at the game.

I was watching the game from Source TV. It was a really interesting game actually, it was funny watching the Pub*'s sniper being completely useless. I was considering trying for a spot on the Pub team, since well, I am one. Anyways, expect me to watch the next games to come as well (Or maybe play?).
