I love melee weapons. I'm gonna enjoy that new sword, much more fun than spamming stickies in my opinion.
I think its a spike to charge someone with, hence whenever you charge it does damage now.
That's one wonky-ass looking spike..
For the 3rd time? Stop with this "i quit TF2!!11" bullshit, we all know you come back every update.
I don't play anymore, even if I could. I have no computer of which to play it with. I do however watch the updates to see if anything cool's coming. Yesterday was fucking sweet. It got me excited for TF2. Today, well the Sniper stuff is cool, but what the fuck Demo.
oh shiiiiit that is going to be some ownage demoman
I kinda expect the Demoman to be renamed to "Demobladier" sooner or later. Short for Demolitions Bladesman. Heck, he's probably already been deemed "Demolitions Bladesman" without us knowing.
So the boots is just the xbox controler plus 25% hp?
holy shit this thread is fucking spinning out of CONTROOOOOOOOOL
Scout doesn't scout the battlefield either.
And the Spy doesn't spy. So what? At least they have some items that fit their style.
It was some videos containing sword rape
Heavies with Gibuses always crack me up.
You should inscribe the word "rilfe" in it.
I would but the damn tombstone generator doesn't give much space to work with. Plus it hates the ' so I had to go with does not instead of doesn't. http://www.jjchandler.com/tombstone/ Here. Feel free to make your own tombstones for overreacting when something happens.
http://www.teamfortress.com/uberupdate/ Try CTRL+F5.
Thanks brah.
I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw the Vanilla GL
The Demoknight set is so overpowered, holy shit.
It seems that the Demoman's melee does have a downside, but not listed. Your ammo becomes health, but where will you go to get actual ammo? Provided that you use a Grenade Launcher or Sticky Launcher, that'll severely cut your killing power to run out of ammo and have to run back to resupply or die.
How do you pronounce the new sniper sword's name?
I'd like to see some improvements to the Sniper set.. It seems a tad bit boring compared to the rest of the sets they've showed us so far. Increased scope view on headshot? I'd actually use it if it had a bonus I could put to good use.

So, lemme sort this out: The Splendid Screen (Shield) +25% Fire Damage Resistance +20% Explosive Damage Resistance +70% Increase in Impact Damage Can deal impact damage at any range Loss of Sticky Launcher
It also has half the resistance of the regular Targe.
15 minutes before update "Man, I sure am fed up with these -15% there, +20% there weapons! We need something NEW!" 5 minutes after update RIP DEMOMAN 2007-2011

The sword by itself is useless unless you use the other two items...
Why does the demoman have 8 melee items and only two grenade launcher/sticky launcher items? Valve what are you continuing to do to one of my favorite classes
they're giving you entirely optional choices which are all strictly downgrades from vanilla???
And the Spy doesn't spy. So what? At least they have some items that fit their style.
did you ever try to put a broken piece of glass back together? Even if the pieces fit, you can't make it whole again the way it was. But if you're clever, you can still use the pieces to make other useful things. Maybe even something wonderful, like a mosaic. Well, tTf2's artstyle broke just like glass. And everyone's trying to put it back together like it was, but it'll never come together the same way.. Artstle's been killed. It will never be saved. But we can embrace it.

I love how some of the sets don't include replacements for all slots, it makes you test out how the items will work with each other and find a combination you are comfortable with.
SO how much damage is 70% more on the shield?
It also has half the resistance of the regular Targe.
That fact wouldn't be included on the stats of the item.
Just stats based the demo set sounds overpowered since there are no written downsides to any items in the set, but I guess we'll see once it gets released.
The shields in the picture are slightly different to each other, does this mean weapon styles?
How are demoknight weapons new.
New mechanics for an alternate playstyle.
Just stats based the demo set sounds overpowered since there are no written downsides to any items in the set, but I guess we'll see once it gets released.
you have no guns
Hmm... Rifle: Hey, I like this! Gives a new playstyle to Sniper while encouraging headshots. Kukri: Fairly decent, kinda like the Equalizer for Sniper. Shield: A bit OP. Sword: Offers a new style of play, although it seems, like the shield, rather OP. Shoes: I can see this giving a new twist to the same old vanilla demoknight formula, and while it may seem OP, it does replace the Grenade Launcher, a very valuable weapon to any Demoman.
