Good point, but the buff on the recharge rate would make it more annoying than it.
Also good point.
Wait, what slot do the booties replace? Misc or one of the weapon slots?
Wait, what slot do the booties replace? Misc or one of the weapon slots?
Secondary(That being Grenade Launcher, by loadout logic).
Demo has a nice booties.
Wait, what slot do the booties replace? Misc or one of the weapon slots?
Grenade Launcher, supposedly
In all honesty I'd rather play as/against a Demoknight than a vanilla sticky launcher Demoman.
It can be challenging either way but it's usually fun.
Wait, what slot do the booties replace? Misc or one of the weapon slots?
most likely it'll replace a weapon slot.
most likely it'll replace a weapon slot.
Please think about what you just said.
Why would boots that allow you to turn while charging, replace the secondary, when charge shields are secondary?

i did hence edit.

Because, Charge Shields is primary(Again, going by loadout logic).
Holy shit I want the new Demoman items.
I just had a sudden thought. You know how there are four styles for the the Splendid Screen, well what if each shield had a different stat? So one wouldn't have all four!
Because, Charge Shields is primary.
In the item loadout + crafting they are. But even the Demo's profile on TF2.com confirms that they are indeed secondary because they go in the stickylauncher's slot.

To the game (in the items_game file, in the loadouts, etc.), the sticky launcher is primary and the grenade launcher is secondary. Making the boots replace the secondary would leave you grenade-less.
Sniper's new sniper looks awesooooome~

First lesson of communication about Demomen: Valve has made their internal code a giant mess (primary and secondary orders are completely inconsistent), therefore the community consensus is the following:
• Primary slot is Grenade Launchers, and should not be called pipe bombs or nades
• Secondary slot is Sticky Launchers & Shields
• Third slot is whatever the Demoman finds on the ground to bash people in the face with
This is the most widely accepted opinion as Grenade Launchers are bound to 1, and Sticky Launchers to 2.

In this kind of situation, where someone ask which slot it goes into, it makes MUCH more sense to say it as how it works in-game.
In-game, they have always been primary, despite him starting with the Grenade Launcher up.

I'm aware, it still makes most sense to mention which loadout option is replaced when someone ask.

Okay then boots are probably primary then.
In-game, they have always been primary, despite him starting with the Grenade Launcher up.
...No.
If you don't have "fast-switch" activated, and you scroll, you clearly see that Grenade Launcher is in the top slot. Which is the primary on every other class.
Okay then boots are probably primary then.
Considering you quoted me, which implies you go by my logic, Boots would be Secondary.
But yes, it's clear they are going to replace the primary because what else would they replace?
We'll find out in two days.
Fuck, let's ignore what the slot is called for a second and get to the point: it's going to replace the grenade launcher. You'll have a demo with no ranged weapons that is a melee God. It's the only thing that makes sense.
I have 14 refined and 6 keys.
My [del]body[/del] backpack is ready.

So, if someone ask you, you find it more informative to answer by what a minor viasual aspect in-game, IE: the weapon switch menu which most people have turned off states, rather than the loadout which will be their way to actually use said unlock?
Either way, Valve really should clean up in the whole Demoman weapon mess. It is pretty annoying, specially when crafting. I tend to think the Loch-N-Load is a primary when crafting too.
Somebody on SPUF suggested "Western Wensday"... Sounds plausible. I can see western engineer items, but if there is another class set, who would it be? And what weapons would they get?
It'll probably be Western Wednesday, yeah. But I sure as hell wasn't expecting "Timbuck Tuesday" so who knows what they could come up with?
Weed Wednesday
medic gets a pill gun
engineer gets a deployable Marijuana farm that makes his team stop giving a fuck for 30 seconds.
