So.. umm.. Why did Valve take away the original backgrounds?

It's just one of those things Valve shouldn't have done. Like the Sandvich eating cooldown, the Gunboats nerf, or the removal of mat_picmip -10.

I wouldn't mind the new background so much if it wasn't so poorly made. It's horribly low res. And that black bar thing.. Terrible. It just compliments the overly cluttered GUI so well.

Thankfully it's easily fixable.

I happen to like the new menu layout, just it's sometimes unnerving due to years of Valve using the same menu system.

I downloaded this, but when I hover my mouse over the buttons it doesn't make the little click noise. I have the sound, but don't know where to put it or name it, would anybody happen to know?
