It DOES work on HL2. My laptop is shit, like absolutely shit, so I tried mat_picmip 5 in the console. It worked! Now even my 256 MB ram laptop can play HL2

It works for shitty quality but not for higher quality.

The OB games are the ones that can use the high quality command.

It's funny how bad it looks, even my old GeForce 2 supported higher resolution textures.

Edit: It's due to the source input size of course, this is the same setting as the earlier Gman picture I took from an HL2 map.
