Unfortunately you either edit all of them, or you edit none of them. Unless somebody knows something I don't. [editline]11:25PM[/editline] Well I finally gathered everything and submitted it to Valve, now I play the waiting game.
I ever tell you about the time I downloaded a Master Sword replacement for the Kukri? Turns out he even made it that the Kukri killicon was the sword instead.

Also, does anyone else have a problem with making vtfs? My textures get really pixelated, and normally it wouldn't be a problem, but now it really fucks up how the cunning casanova looks :(
Gotta love those little extra things that people throw in there, huh?
Or you just create a kill icon for your weapon and send it to valve so they can implement it if they use your weapon.
I think he means for if Valve don't accept it... Yeah I'm using VTFedit to convert my exported .tgas to .vtfs. Here's an example (both are 256*256 textures blown up to 512*512 size to show the differences, first one is the one exported from PS, the second one is after VTFedit). Yeah, use RGB888 instead of DXT1, should fix it up. Use RGBA8888 instead of DXT5 for alpha textures. Don't do this for all your skins though because it's inefficient (probably, otherwise why wouldn't Valve use it for everything?)
Using RGBA8888 fixed it (DXT didn't matter) but turned the filesize from ~90 kb to ~350 kb.
Added way more noise to the texture and shaded the corners a bit. I think it looks half passable now. What do you think? (Ignore that clipping in the power cord BTW) On another note, that axe looks badass Neo, I hope valve accepts it :D
Idletard, I want a pyro with a tv over his head, as a apng that has a static effect on the tv(avatar idea) I freaking love it.
I've got another question. Is it possible to make the Sniper's default hat invisible while using the trophy belt? (I'm thinking no, but I'd rather cover all bases.)
I've seen a mod that makes Sniper's hat invisible. If he had the Trophy Belt it would add a fancy little cap. [editline]04:18PM[/editline] Unfortunately it was always invisible.
Using RGBA8888 fixed it (DXT didn't matter) but turned the filesize from ~90 kb to ~350 kb.
RGB888 is more efficient if you don't have an alpha channel
Is there a way to not show the red/blue/green axes in hlmv? I want to show my progress but don't want to take screens with that in the way.
uhh what's the point in a DR replacement it's viewmodel only so nobody will ever EVER know you're using it
Just imagine. When someone dies by your gruesome hands and see their deathcam, they will notice the new watch you are holding in that "carrying weapon" window. Only then will they realize the mysterious new watch they must now acquire. :mmmsmug:

(but please do something big and cool afterwards like your flamethrower)

If you happen to have a download link, please provide it.
So? [editline]08:09PM[/editline] My steam username is underneath my post date as well. and it is my name. :derp:
Well, Valve suggests that you keep it a secret.
Why?
Introducing "The Cunning Casanova".
that's cunning also Added 3 new hats that can be worn by any class Towering Pillar of Hats" Noble Amassment of Hats" Modest Pile of Hat"
The screen looks much better in game, animated textures don't work in the model viewer. I know the texture of the rest of the TV could be much better, but I can't get it to not look like plain colors and still look good, but I'll try to improve it. Sadly, texturing is not a strong point of mine (neither modelling, this is my first model EVER)
Seeing the static in motion, it definitely works. The cabinet should have that nasty vinyl wood grain texture around it like most older TVs had and make the front a tacky silver/dark grey on the front.
