Even with complex models, like that wooden pallet with the nails in only took me a few seconds to wrap nicely... But then everyone to their own.
Go ahead. Import Alyx and auto-unwrap her.
Go ahead. Import Alyx and auto-unwrap her.
You know I ment only slightly complex models, I didn't mean a whole fucking face map. Jeez. I just find 3ds' way of uvwrapping to be long winded but that might be down to me being used to maya. Also if you'd like to know, I've moved away from the auto-unwrap.
This for Snupers SMG
I'd rather have this for Snoipah
One question:Most of these AWESOME skins are coustom models. So when i join a sv_pure server,i see nothing. Is there a console command so i can switch back to the standard models wihtout deleting them?
try mp_usehwmmodels 1 i don't know if it will work but it's worth a shot.
I'd rather have this for Snoipah
Damn that'd be really noice
try mp_usehwmmodels 1 i don't know if it will work but it's worth a shot.
Well, that works for player models. Nothing else though. Sorry though... Until VALVe create a solution... But I have a temp. one: Go to your teamfortress (NOT TF) folder. Rename tf tf_mods or something. Start up TF2. It will create a new tf folder, use this for sv_pure and the other for mods. Just rename the one you want to use tf and the other one tf_vanilla/tf_modded. Also good for testing if it's mods crashing your game or other stuff.
okay, update... i did the ctrl A thing, but i don't know how to merge the lollipop's stick with the lollipop itself D: how do i merge?
Right click UW map modifier. Delete the modifier. Select the cylinder. Click Element from the drop down list. Click attach and select the stick. Add UW modifier. -texture it- -realize that it's quite bad looking mesh- -do something better-
I don't want to stress Robin. But oh well.
Alright, I got an answer from him. I won't bother taking a screenshot since this isn't anything important:
Hi -mynamehere-. There's a bug in HLMV. If you have a model with the spy cloak entries in the .vmt (which you should for weapons), it'll report double the real triangle count. So it sounds like your model is indeed 12k triangles. Robin.
Edit: And yes, it works. I deleted all but the path in the vmt file, and the poly count dropped by half.

About my counter-hat, should I keep it 4 lamps or change it to 2 for sake of Dalek references? Agree: change to 2 Disagree: keep 4
Your muzzer.
well shit :smith:
How much noise do you guys use when making textures using flat base colors?
Depends what material it is.
Oh hey, I was just thinking of some hat ideas aaaaaannnddd.... I will add more later. Yes, the bow for the Pyro will go on his head, not around the neck.
Depends what material it is.
Cloth, similar to "Bill's Hat"

Kind of a stretch, but can you make the cone at the back team colored?
Cleverly done! Now get on that texture.
The band hat's already been. Secondly, how are a wedge of cheese and a pepper considered "hats"?
Obviously you're not a Packers fan. (I'm not either, but I just know these things.) But this would be in the other direction. (Stem at back of head.)
