Try making the zombie eyes pure white like a blind person, that might look cool. If it does, self-illuminate them too.

Do they really need to be all like the... standard zombies? Gray skin-white eyed zombies with blood all over their mouths and clothes? It's turning into a cliche, even more after Left 4 Dead 1 and 2.

Okay, I'm going to be getting 3DS Max in a couple days here, and I thought my first project would be a fairly simple hat. A fez for the Heavy. (Yes, I know the fez is not a Russian hat, but I don't care. Since it's my first hat I don't plan to send to Valve anyway.)

I don't know about the uber, but I can do the crit one.
If anybody was wondering i have got my hat done as for modeling and texturing (ish) just need to make the .qc files and all the rest like sort out the jiggle bones may take me some time its my first attempt and i still have a few things to find out so wish me luck.

There's not really a different way to portray a zombie that's easily recognizable as a zombie.

Left 4 Dead ones aren't even zombies. They are sick people who, after getting infected, mutated. I'm talking about dead people, something scary.
