That looks painful.
It's a very nice backscratcher. I spent like ten minutes using it on myself before I took those pictures.
Rude much? It's a very good pack with a theme that fits the character.
I'm going to have to agree with Mariner on this. The Junkyard Justice set is not a favorite of mine. To say the least I am not looking forward for yet another Soldier set, and one that I do not find fitting in any way. I seldomly post here, but I can tell you now that 80% of the posts I have on this forum have been reminders on the style of TF2. The Junkyard Justice doesn't fit the Soldier style. Yes, it has a theme. No it doesn't fit the Soldier. I just rewatched Meet the Soldier. The Soldier displayed no sign of being crafty with improvisation or having MacGyver-like talents. I looked at the Valve made stock Soldier weapons and War update weapons. None of them show any kind of improvision, unless you want to count the sewn badges on the Buff Banner's pack or the children's pretend-soldier Stainless Pot hat. The Soldier is no craftsman. The community somehow believes the Soldier's a MacGyver despite having no direct Valve reference to being one. He has never made piecemeal weaponry of trash. The Junkyard Justice set does NOT fit the original TF2 style. The same problem continues to occur time and time again. It is no overstatement to say that half of the modelers in this community do not understand the TF2 style. Let me repeat that again: At least half of the models created in this community do not fit the artistic guidelines set by Valve. Let me just point out some of the following incorrect perceptions of what people mistakenly believe is true to the TF2 style. Bandages, dents, Mann Co logos, broken handles, etc. Somewhere along the line one modeler pulled these motifs out of their ass and now these frequently recurring designs continue to appear in community submitted items for no reason at all. Valve created stock weapons which have a very distinct but plain silhouette. Class update weapons have a little more flair, but are still very reserved containing minimal detail to adhere with the simplistic art style of TF2. Somehow, I find it ironic that the same community unabashedly feels that some of the community weapons, some which may have even been submitted by their peers, don't fit TF2. Not too long ago many people worked to try to create models to replace community weapons they felt didn't belong. "The Candy Cane doesn't make any sense on the Scout," they said. And they proceeded to work on an overly detailed lead pipe, complete with a valve, and visible threads on pipe joints. Do you see where I'm going with this? The point here is this Communist Cake. Your opinion is just as valid as Mariner's. He doesn't like it, I don't like it, but you do like it. But that doesn't discount that the Junkyard Justice set has no affiliation with the Soldier's character.
I'll need an animator, a texturer, and someone to make the sound work. PM me ! Also, if you have ideas to improve the handle...
So i've decided to take up modeling as well. My first project : [img_thumb]http://images.wikia.com/dukenukem/images/9/9f/ChaingunCannon.png[/img_thumb] Wish me luck. Also oh god fucking blender does not work and i don't know why so i'm using XSI - yay or nay?
XSI exported SMDs are fucked, you'll have to port it somewhere before texturing and rigging can happen, 3ds max is free if you go to school, btw
what about the handle be an extension of the Spy's spine? :3 [editline]28th June 2011[/editline] a boot to the head?
A spine and a boot are too flexible, just make it a bone. [editline]28th June 2011[/editline] Maybe The Humerus

:yohoho:
Rate Winner for this

Rate Heart for this
Actually, screw it. POLL TIME!
Should I restart and try and make a more... normal moustache?
Since it's a kaiser Wilhelm stache give it to the medic.
I was playing Homefront today, and i grabbed one scar h big mag, and a machine gun from cs (couldn't remember the name of it.). I thinked, and said why wouldn't heavy get a duel machine gun to his hands? Its like Scar have more of speed, but more less damage MG have more of damage, but more less speed You can't shoot both (we don't want his hands explode do we) Cooldown included 50-50, must be reloaded if gets empty I'm gonna draw it.
Actually, screw it. POLL TIME!
On first glance, I thought the soldier's lip was messed up.
You know what someone could do which shouldn't be too hard? The injured scout from Meet the Medic. The bandage looks pretty much textured onto there, so no need to remodel anything. Same with Demomans head bandage.
Bigbadrick, the heavy texture for your Enhanced Uber Textures mod doesn't seem to be working.
You know what someone could do which shouldn't be too hard? The injured scout from Meet the Medic. [editline]28th June 2011[/editline] Also, going with moustache number 2, aka "SCOUT! Get me pictures of spiderman!"
I want a medic hat with Archimedes hopping around the tip.
Think it's texture worthy?
I may be a bit late on saying this. But the fins could do with a bit of work. The general shape is nice but they seem a bit of a quick slap on job. You could improve the dorsal fin by giving a bit more of a curved shape, rounding the edges and making the base thicker than the top. And similar crit on the pectoral fins. They could do with having a bit of a curve, on the part nearest the head, also they seem to be facing the wrong way. They need to be horizontal not vertical.
"SCOUT! Get me pictures of spydermann!"
Fixed.
I know i'm probably late to the party, but has there been a new weapon sound fix yet?
Actually, screw it. POLL TIME!
It would help a lot if you didn't have such bad lighting, from that I see that it is extremely blocky.
Next item in my commando pack... btw. Currently at 3800 tris Still can add a bit more detail
gah how do I make good boot icon I'm leaning towards the third one, the other tests I made aren't even worth showing
About the second icon, just try replacing the head with a boot impact. Possibly lower the body a little.

As you can see, there is a bit of smoothing error there that isn't evident when it's rendered via Blender. What should I do to try and fix it?
Didn't soldier make his own medals? Why couldn't he make his own weapons? He obviously has a lot of time on his hands being crazy....
