I personally feel it doesn't matter if you think it fits in TF2 or not, as it's ultimately up to Valve to decide. However, there are some things that just don't work, such as the pipe mentioned earlier and that is the reason I won't use it. I've also said before how I've felt about packs. The Bonk pack I think is ugly. It's just jaring and I don't like it. Not that it's not well modeled (it is) or that it doesn't fit TF2 (I think it does, but again not my decision) but it's just... ugly. Someone can feel the same way about the Junkyard Pack if they please. Oh, and where did people get the idea that the Soldier makes stuff? Very simple. He made his own badges. Does that mean he can build his own rocket launcher? No, but I somehow doubt that would stop him from trying. Besides, before he had funding from TF Industries that allowed him to simply purchase his weapons he had to go to war with SOMETHING. Maybe the Junkyard set was his first attempt at building his own weaponry, one that was a critical success (get it?) and led to his being hired on by TFI. In other words, yay more backstory. We all love backstory, right? EDIT: TF2 Emporium, featuring PARTIAL NINJA ACTION! :v:

So the emblems aren't there. Which gives E.C.S. a reason to release his. Another reason the emblems aren't there is because they kept fucking up during editing so I said "Fuck that shit." and removed them. :3:
I hope finish my version soon, I need to update other projects too.
Go lighter on the head. The current version that's just a silhouette is funny; every new line on the icon makes it less so. Remember, it's not a complex machine like the Medic's other weapons; it's just a solid block of marble. The icon should be equally blunt.
Possibly true, but I'm afraid I don't like that boot icon anymore than any of mine. I'll do a poll on the first one because yours looks pretty cool.

Ha
About the second icon, just try replacing the head with a boot impact. Possibly lower the body a little.
Will try.
Haha oh wow. "My opinion is better than yours"
Yeah. As nice as it is to have support for an issue, Joey JoJo actually misses the point (which I really didn't have time to or thought to expand on. My fault.)
Oh, and where did people get the idea that the Soldier makes stuff? Very simple. I'm not so much as doubting Mister Doe's intellect as I am worried that this is a kind of creep in characterization, as TF2 already has a character that is an expert in fabricating explosives: the Demoman. Now, I'll admit that one can rightly point out this would apply to the Engineer, though I'd argue that the two are distinct in this regard because the Engineer builds weapons, while the Demo builds just explosives. That's a big distinction. In regards to the Soldier's biography, it also states that he learned how to fire a variety of weapons. As far as the WAR! comic, the Soldier's apartment is littered with magazines, surplus military gear, and other military-related paraphernalia (and boxes from the Rib Place). All this leads to the impression that the Soldier is indeed a military and weapon fanatic, but there's a BIG difference between being a gun expert and a gunsmith, the latter of which requires mastery of a plethora of different disciplines, which includes metalworking, woodworking, and chemistry. Hmm, isn't there already someone on the team that would have all of those requisite skills? Of course, it's entirely possible that the Engineer improvised the Junkyard pack for the Soldier as a gift (possibly under duress. ;) ), but I have a problem with the idea that the Soldier actually built them. Also, Joey, you're confusing art style and aesthetics with characterization.
Nothing is Impossible
Feel free to modify the dlls and exe. But enjoy your VAC ban.
Nothing is Impossible
In this case it is. Uber effects don't have particles (yeah, sure, the medigun beam has them), and even if we'd try there's no way we can get it budging since there is no coding for it whatsoever. Sorry, this one's a no-go. Though I'd really like to see it myself :(

You can have particles on animations afaik, I'm not too sure if it can be dependent of the skin it uses

Part of the Soldier's characterization is that he's crazy enough to not only think that shooting rockets at his feet to propel himself forward works, but manages to pull it off in reality. Who's to say the same thing doesn't apply to weapons too? If he thinks these tin cans he welded together are going to shoot rockets when he pulls the trigger, then despite the complete lack of a proper firing mechanism, it will.

I saw the Commando Medic in the Media thread and thought it would actually be a good head texture for him, I would do it but I'm not really that good with texturing because I can only do basic stuff. So if anyone is willing to do it, go ahead, maybe do a team coloured version and a neutral version. Pretty please? :v:
I'm going to have to agree with Mariner on this. The Junkyard Justice set is not a favorite of mine. To say the least I am not looking forward for yet another Soldier set, and one that I do not find fitting in any way. I seldomly post here, but I can tell you now that 80% of the posts I have on this forum have been reminders on the style of TF2. The Junkyard Justice doesn't fit the Soldier style. Yes, it has a theme. No it doesn't fit the Soldier. I just rewatched Meet the Soldier. The Soldier displayed no sign of being crafty with improvisation or having MacGyver-like talents. I looked at the Valve made stock Soldier weapons and War update weapons. None of them show any kind of improvision, unless you want to count the sewn badges on the Buff Banner's pack or the children's pretend-soldier Stainless Pot hat. The Soldier is no craftsman. The community somehow believes the Soldier's a MacGyver despite having no direct Valve reference to being one. He has never made piecemeal weaponry of trash. The Junkyard Justice set does NOT fit the original TF2 style. The same problem continues to occur time and time again. It is no overstatement to say that half of the modelers in this community do not understand the TF2 style. Let me repeat that again: At least half of the models created in this community do not fit the artistic guidelines set by Valve. Let me just point out some of the following incorrect perceptions of what people mistakenly believe is true to the TF2 style. Bandages, dents, Mann Co logos, broken handles, etc. Somewhere along the line one modeler pulled these motifs out of their ass and now these frequently recurring designs continue to appear in community submitted items for no reason at all. Valve created stock weapons which have a very distinct but plain silhouette. Class update weapons have a little more flair, but are still very reserved containing minimal detail to adhere with the simplistic art style of TF2. Somehow, I find it ironic that the same community unabashedly feels that some of the community weapons, some which may have even been submitted by their peers, don't fit TF2. Not too long ago many people worked to try to create models to replace community weapons they felt didn't belong. "The Candy Cane doesn't make any sense on the Scout," they said. And they proceeded to work on an overly detailed lead pipe, complete with a valve, and visible threads on pipe joints. Do you see where I'm going with this? The point here is this Communist Cake. Your opinion is just as valid as Mariner's. He doesn't like it, I don't like it, but you do like it. But that doesn't discount that the Junkyard Justice set has no affiliation with the Soldier's character.
Oh god, you've gone and insulted cracks and bandages. IN THE EMPORIUM. It's a wonder you haven't been lynched yet. :ohdear:
