+His outfit for Spy. If they're doing another promo, it had better include the Stylish Spy outfit.
outfit? seriously? this is not Battlefield Heroes, mate. We only have HATS.
So, someone posted a UV unwrapping tut earlier - anyonge got a link?
Here you have the tutorial made by Bigbadbarron http://www.livestream.com/bigbadbarron/video?clipId=pla_5d0a5ff4-884b-427f-ab70-6f7aa8fa12ec
That's already in-game.

While the idea I showed there is similar due to them both being peaked caps, it's not exactly the same. If you looked closer at the image I gave as an example, it has multiple peaks around the top of the hat (with the biggest at the front), rather than just one peak at the front, like the military-style peaked cap (which is what the Team Captain is).
That's true, but I just dont think we need another type of police cap in-game. [sp]wiki cap[/sp]
Unless you were talking about just replacing. Ever since the contribution site came out, I've been automatically assuming people modeled just to try and get their stuff in-game. (which may be true for some people)

The 4-chamber thing fucks up the firing animation a bit.

You do have a good point there. There are quite a few hats both in game, and that people have made which aren't in the game that have a similar style, which is sort of why I wasn't going to make it myself.
FFFFF- goddammit why must Sony Vegas always act like a retarded baby and give me so much trouble rendering some stupidly simple short videos. Either it always crashes, pixelates the fuck out of my videos, can't read the most common video formats for the dumbest reasons, or renders them with incredibly low framerate despite what I set it to.
All I'm trying to do is render a 2 minute video of Wan Hu and I can't even do that. What other video programs do ya' recommend?

Ask Max of Std, he should be able to help you.
I have a question about something for a friend.
If a Valve employee from the TF2 department asks for current textures for a file you submitted, is that generally a confirmation it'll be in game? He also asked him what preferred VMT he uses.
I think I may have helped him finally get recognized for his awesome modeling after sending a message to robin with all his stuff :3:

Isn't it strange? That happened to my launcher too. It doesn't make sense. On my end, the barrel doesn't rotate all the way to 15 degrees.

It's certainly a strong hint that they're considering it.
What hat/weapon texture they asking for?
I'm sure the emporium would like to know.
The better pocket medic. (He's pretty much my best friend, let me be biased please)

He also made this and this
Probably the 5th time I've posted these since I really want them added :v:

hooray, I got a shape with cylinders poking out of it into the game.

The Team Captain is different then the peaked cap worn by police.

Not too strange, my barrel requires a 90 degree rotation and it doesn't get that since the animation is made for 6 barrels.
I'd honestly like to see a british bobby hat for pyro ingame, I dunno why but it'd suit it.
Size ain't too bad.

I think.
working on the steampunk foster style
http://www.thespecialistsltd.com/files/Sniper%20Mask.jpg
I'm going to try to replicate this as my first model (I wouldn't count those cylinders as one :v:).
Though my knowledge of the available shapes is quite limited, I really only know some of the meshes, not sure what the other ones do.
My progress on the thing so far is just using very flat cubes as the outline, though I'm sure there's a more suitable shape I could use for it...
Flat texture test. Gonna add some brushstrokes

Seks-see.
Well somehow I got it to work.

I know I'm probably late by like 8 pages, but I'd like to point out that the Direct Hit icon is wrong because the scope is placed on the left side, making the weapon look mirrored.
i never even noticed the air do-hicky
finished laugh taunt icon

gonna finish summer crate and release small update for my icons today.
if this heat don't melt me.

Okay so I got a bunch of vertices and edges into an outline(not exactly but I'll work on that later), but the last time I tried making the faces it came out terrible(triangles errywhere).
Once I do make the faces though, I'm not sure how I'll make a the depression on the curve of the mask...

Looks good. Did you remember to put a shell ejection port on it?
I'd create a circle and bend it instead of tracing.
