well after this, I can officially announce me and idle are getting back together to make the Mediray-dar V2.
This time with full backpack, as the fact he mentioned the raydar out of the blue after nearly 2 years of it being submitted seems a bit to much like a hint.
so we're making a backpack now for it and redoing the entire thing (though the radar part will be pretty much the same, the design was brilliant in our opinions)
Updated texture and I put it on the pyro to see how it looks.

I think they're cool with it, Brandon said that kritzkrieg backpacks are good (that's what the quote was about) he also said community styles for valve hats "wont harm in submitting"

I had started work on cowboy boots for him a couple weeks ago (I just haven't worked on it much yet, since I've had so many other WIPs, so all I really have is an ugly proof of concept, rather than a final model).
I decided the best way to go about working on them though would be to go the route of making some that require a leg body group, so that the boots can be small enough to not look goofy.
Here's the proof of concept (like I said, it's fairly ugly, because I haven't put much effort into it yet):

Looks like you kind of cut the bottom part of the pants off a little bit. That'll probably be what I'll have to do so I don't have to make the boots so gigantic. Leaving the pants in tact results in far too much clipping and makes the boots look hilariously large. Not too sure how Valve handles the whole bodygroup thing so I'm going to have to ask someone.
And apparently both of us are working on similarly themed packs for Engineer. May the best man win, I suppose. :v:
