Gentlemen. Behold, my latest submission! I present to you the Beer Monoggle. The Beer Goggle Monocle. It's the base of a tiny broken beer bottle with a rubber ring to prevent the glass from cutting the Demoman.
I took multiple renders of it with the glass translucent and not just to see how it looked.

Not sure how I feel about this color scheme. It's not particularly bad, but I'm not really sure. And the specular seems to be a bit off, though I can't seem to put my finger on it. I've tweaked it a bunch of times but I can't really get it right. There's just something about it that feels off. Sometimes I feel it's too shiny, other times I feel it's not shiny enough. And I've changed the colors a bunch of times but can't get anything I'm happy with.
I might need to try some other color schemes just for a bit more visual interest. It's a bit bland right now... though, no more bland than the default pistol I suppose. Anyone have suggestions? Or do people like it how it is?
And yes I'm aware of the smoothing errors. I'll fix them eventually.

Only problem is that there's not many parts on the model currently that could really be colored gold. And I'm absolutely terrible at engravings so there's no hope for that.

Texturing engravings or modelling them? They could probably just be bump mapped on as an illusion.

Can you post some screens in more normal lighting? (from the looks of the glove you're standing directly under a light)
I can't judge too well but the specular seems pretty flat across the different materials (wood, light metal, dark metal). As for visual interest, how about some dirt and grime wedged in between edges... would kinda fit with the horn theme
clicking on pictures makes everything dark and shows you the picture

I pretty much suck at drawing so I can't really create any good-looking engravings to save my life. If you want to give it a shot, by all means, I'd be happy to try and get some cool engravings on there.

Yeah, there's definitely something wonky going on with the lighting. Must've screwed something up in the VMT or something because my specular map is fine. Too tired to look at it right now so I'll look into fixing it tomorrow.
Definitely goofed something up at some point. Understandable considering I've been awake for like 36 hours now. Tomorrow I'll probably just remake the entire texture from scratch when I'm more awake and aware of what the hell I'm actually doing.

You need to bevel some of those edges.

The huge wooden fences will do great for optimization but that it going to be boring as fuck because a) very little height variation and b) both the left and right routes onto cp2 from cp1 and from cp2 to mid are exactly the same.
Like I said before, he needs to forgot about the themeing for now and get it to play well first, also bunkers are never that huge anyway so it doesn't even make any sense. Small bunkers could be used as high risk/ lower routes though like how the bottom route under mid on badlands is or like the dropdown from cp2 to mid is on granary.

It's quite early, give it time and I'm sure he'll iron that stuff out.
Also, would anyone be up for hacking/alpha mapping the spikes and hinges off the Southern Hospitality? I made a mockup image in potatoshop and it looked alright.
