The appeal behind acquiring a hat is to have your character stand out. The gibus and the swarm hat don't do that since they are common. Even the demoman's top hat lost value because it resembles the gibus. It's not every day you see 3-4 people with the same soldier hat on the same server at the same time. But everywhere you look someone is wearing the swarm hat or the gibus.

(this was before you could buy Portal or TF2 separately) I did buy DoD and Counter Strike for Gmod though. But not without playing them too. I can access the Bill's hat hat in Gmod even though I don't have L4D2. I assume it will be the same for the Holy Hand grenade.

Mjeh, I'm not sure. The grenades and hat don't really look that "stunning" so I won't get them unless I want the game. Whether I want the game or not I'm not sure. I used to be a die-hard Worms World Party fan, but I've had a hard time enjoying the worms series since that game. Namely what bugs me the most about the newer games is the gravity and the size of the explosions, I felt that the gravity in the new worms games feel very heavy, and the explosions are no longer as spectacular.

Op is one of those kids who are playing the game for hats. No, it's not worth it, I rember about 4 pepole bought sam and max, just to get the items, and they HATe that game.
