what if...the podcast is a interview with robin atkin downes?
what if...the podcast is a interview with robin atkin downes?
Hopefully if this happened, they wouldn't just ask him about TF2. Mr Downes has done a fucktonne of voice work on video games; my second favourite role of his was Miller in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

Yes, yes, Mr. Downes work is quite expansive and his roles quite diverse. Though I think we can all agree, if there's one role that defines the man... If there's a single role in his life that speaks tombs with an unimaginable wit and depth that has not been seen in media for well over 1500 years... I think we can all agree it's this man here. Now I feel kinda bad about how I coaxed him into taking on the bandits with me, then ran the shit out of there.

Will we have to sign in with our steam id or something?
That's what I wanna know...
How long has there been a TF2 podcast?! Where the heck have I been? I've only known about Podcast17.
It's not official or anything, just like Podcast17 they're a bunch of guys who talk about games/mods.
while we wait for meet the medic, why not discuss his voice actor's other roles instead of share conspiracy theories. almost all of his roles are awesome.

Okay, here's a question for all of you. Blog post suddenly comes out. "Fine, whatever." is the title. The blog reads as follows "Alright, we get it. You want Meet the Medic. here it is, we'll try not to have fun and get the community excited anymore. sorry. en-fucking-joy" Followed by just a link. No "Now get ready to...", No "Here it is!" Just a simple "http://www.tf2.com/medi.htm" You click it. It's undecorated. Top left corner is just a blue link that says "http://www.tf2.com/". The page is almost all white, except that link and the video below. It's actually Meet the Medic, complete. It's about 7:00 minutes long. How do you feel? What do you do?

I didn't just make this up, this is the best recollection of my dream last night. My dream I was an intern at Valve, when Robin Walker asks me to go into the basement to help him set up a computer. While down there, he mentions that since everyone else at Valve has seen Meet the Medic, why not just let me see it also. So he fires up his computer and we watch. This is where it takes a strange turn. Meet the Medic starts off on a far away planet that is covered in a red atmosphere. You see a little red robot that kind of looks like he's a garbage man robot (he's got a pan for arms), and he's holding a glowing red tube. We get as closeup of him as he races past the camera. Next, he hands the rod over to another robot, who drops it into a machine. We then watch a Rube Golberg typed transformation as the tube is built into a gun and backpack. Turns out the orb had been built into the medigun! It then goes and gets tested by two robots who shoot it at themselves, which makes them bigger. At the end they push a button on the trigger and they get ubered. After it is completed, an alien truck picks it up. The alien driving it is this fellow which is a nice nod to the old concepts for TF2. His delivery truck looks like an old 1950s toy rocket. As he's driving through space, a meteor hits him, causing his cargo hatch to open. The medigun and backpack fall out and float through space. We then get brought to a new place, very different. There's yodeling and lots of people drinking bear. A young boy with glasses is sitting alone on a bench looking bored and a little lonely. Suddenly, a meteor crashes into the field next to him. The boy goes to investigate, and discovers the medigun. He slips the (too big for him) backpack on, and the hose connected and picks up the medigun. He then does the medigun taunt and the screen fades into adult medic doing the same taunt. An alarm goes off "MEDIC NEEDED, 1ST FLOOR!" and medic starts running. Two doors open from the outside (medic is inside) letting in lots of light. Medic shield his eyes then looks out, it's a bloodbath out there. He takes a step and as he leaves the building, dove follow him, and there's a dramatic walk with epic opera music as medic walks to the battlefield The end of Meet the Medic. At the end... I was disappointed. It was an odd video, unlike any of the other Meet the Medics. I mentioned this to Robin, and he noted that he kind of felt the same way, but "what are they going to do, delay it again?" After that he says "Anyway, you know a good singer? We need someone to re-record that opera bit" Then I wake up. Sooo... the reasons I probably had this dream 1. I had ice cream right before falling asleep 2. I remember Political Gamer mentioning that Medic's odd looking leaked weapons have a lot to do with Meet the Medic and have a theme to them (hence the alien part). 3. I had been looking at the concept art page of the wiki a lot recently 4. ???? So yea, weird stuff. Here are some oddities from the video. 1. Robin Walker didn't have an accent 2. The basement of Valve looked suspiciously like my own basement 3. Meet the Medic was apparently built using a 2003 Windows XP computer 4. Out of nowhere my little brother popped in at the end to ask if the opera singer was Glados. But yea, I got to lay off the ice cream and TF2 right before bed. :/
Dreams often help answer the mysterys we desire to know, especially when it comes to a good story that has recently ended or is yet to be continued.
Dreams often help answer the mysterys we desire to know, especially when it comes to a good story that has recently ended or is yet to be continued.
The last vivid dream I had a few months ago came true. I dreamed I was at work (which when I had the dream I didn't know what it looked like) working on a movie, editing an image of a flower. Yesterday I was sitting in that same office from the dream, editing the very same image of the same flower.

Looks at time.. June 11 fuck still not june 21
I still think this Kritzkast thing is just going to lead us to another step in this ridiculously unneeded ARG.
I still think this Kritzkast thing is just going to lead us to another step in this ridiculously unneeded ARG.
I'm sure at the very best they will give us a breadcrumb about the birds. Otherwise it will just be "What a surprise, have a hat". The 21st looks increasingly more probable. Failing that the only other probable option would be it being released in conjunction with Frankenheavy for the Halloween update.
