Even if you don't like the idea of them being in the game, it's a bit dickish and dumb to say it all "Looks like shit" and junk like that. The guy has really nice artistic skill and all that, but yeah the turrets don't look like they'd fit all that well.
I would absolutely love some kind of flamethrower turret though, even if you couldn't move it after deploying and all that.
I'd like a Guard Dog like robot monster boss for TF2. Sure it won't fit, but damn would it be interesting.

Very very late
I like the author's efforts, but many of these sentries seems to be overdetailed even to the point to not have a proper place where the sapper attaches to.
The models fit the art style just fine, it's the slightly realistic approach he took on the textures and lighting that isn't fitting.
If the made the textures a bit flatter and the shading less "dark and edgy hurr" they would look much better.

Unlockable primary PDA for pyro.
I'd be better if he spent his time designing one well thought out sentry instead of making loads of rushed variants in the hope that one would be chosen. They look OK but don't really seem to fit well.
Designing a sentry replacement and making it technically viable (ie, not a dog or flying) is difficult. I've thought about if but the work is quite overwhelming and may not be worth it as the chance of it being successful is slim. To make a new one you'd have to make the model (and incremental levels if you're going that way), animate it and code it's behavior into the game.
Engineer needs a Combat-variant of Dispenser though.
Like the combat mini-sentry, the combat-dispenser would deploy fast and has limited supply of health/ammo/metal. After it has depleted, it should be destroyed by the engi himself if you are good like that.
Or a walking dispenser that would take cover when he's under fire. :v: but fuck that, it would just look funny.

Some sort of temporary covering building would be very useful for an offensive Engineer.

most of these are garbage and the stats are incredibly gimmicky.

Well I think it is because of people not making anything else other then wrench/shotgun/pistol, Brandon himself it is because of the lack of resources and thinking back on it I have only seen one wrangler replacement, which is the magnet WiP in the emporium.
Also from mad milk (and potentially the mediray-dar) we can see valve are willing to give out 'out of the box' weapons that are completely new (think flaregun unlock to the shotgun).
It is just people are making replacement weapons rather then new ideas.

The textures etc are this way because it was a render..not done in engine. FOr view purposes. But the models are ready.
about the GD, Yes, i use him as a layout stuff and nostalgia only, no pretending to be official. I did made the dog plushie because people asked me a lot to do.
