Ninja. Seriously. I've written it all down.
HP - 100
Speed - Very slightly slower than that of the Scout
Other - Wall jump. The Ninja has a particularly high jump which, if landing upon a wall, he will "stick" to the wall and gradually slide down, giving the player an oppurtunity to leap off in their selected direction. The Katana can be used in conjunction with this ability for a "headstab" from above, which (obviously) gives a guaranteed kill. If the Ninja successfully lands a headstab he will crouch in place for two seconds in order to recover.
Weapons:
Katana - Does relatively high damage and has a very low hitting rate. Can get aforementioned "headstabs".
Shruiken - The Ninja keeps seven Shruiken in his suit. These are about as accurate as a Huntsman and travel about as fast as a Sandman ball. Can be charged for increased speed. When stuck in an enemy they inflict 20 damage, and an additional 5 damage every two seconds the enemy is moving until the Shruiken falls off (after 10 seconds)
Unarmed - The Ninja is exceptionally skilled at unarmed combat. A versatile weapon are the Ninja's fists. When unarmed the Ninja gets a 30% increase in speed, and jumps slightly higher. If used while running forward, the Ninja pulls off a sliding kick. If used while running forward and jumping, the Ninja pulls off a flying kick which has knockback equivelant to the Force - a Nature's. When standing still the Ninja unleashes a virtually unstoppable range of attacks to the space in front of him and to whatever enemy may happen to fill that space.
quoting a horrible idea.
there is no 10th class. if there is one it will be the civilian guy and there will be a new gamemode.
pfft, your're all wrong the tenth class is obvoiusly gonna be the announcer and she slowly fills up a bar and when it reaches the top she can yell "YOU FAILED" at the enemy team thus making them incapable at fighting back and making the announcer's team get insta killing shots.
I made a thread about that a long time ago. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=798549
I posted it on FP but it's probably on an alt so fuck it.
I see what you're saying, and it definitely couldn't work the exact same way as it does in tfc. I'd imagine it would stay so that the assassin team would be composed of nothing but snipers, possibly spies or engineers as well.
The bodyguard team wouldn't have all classes available, but this is the way it was in tfc - and it wasn't unbalanced.
Now the ubering thing would definitely be under consideration. Ubering the civilian would be a tad op, but a medic ubering a heavy to draw the fire isn't. The civilian would still be vulnerable.
It all comes down to map design - high spots for the snipers and multiple routes for the bodyguard/civilian team, as it was in classic.
Obviously I'm not a game developer, and my ideas probably aren't the best way to go about things, but the point still remains that Hunted could work with some tweaking.

TF2 is balanced a lot more than TFC, and the balance is between counters. Classes have counters and can counter others, remove that and you break the game.
-snip-
I see this got quite popular in the space of 5 hours ._.
Though there are still six more classes to upgrade, the release of an eventual new class isn't out of the question. Rumors of a possible 10th class teased in an Easter Egg found in the first mission of Left 4 Dead set players abuzz. Walker says they haven't made any decisions about adding new classes yet, but that doesn't mean they're not considering them. "We've got several new class designs floating around, some of which we like a lot, but right now we're focusing on the broadening of our existing classes through the addition of the unlockables,"
Also the L4D easter egg is a cereal box. On the back of the box it says "Collect all ten TF2 Classes action figures"
Also before this article was written there was another on FPSBanana some time late last year. In the FPSBanana article Valve said they were "Thinking of a new game mode, new class and possibly updating 2 classes at ounce" However as FPS Banana turned into a virus shit storm. I am not going in there to find it.
Please add this to OP to stop shit questions

They are just kinda interesting :P
Ninja's are black fast mother fuckers.
No racism intended.
Sandvich
ninjas aren't shit and were mostly peasants
NeoSeeker = Correct. You win a kritzkrieg dupelicate.
Love, Robin Walker.
Yes i remember.
It'll obviously be the Announcer. You'll be able to command and yell at your team, and hit enemies with a rolled up issue of "Punishment Weekly."
A Mastermind character wouldn't be a bad thing. It could be in lieu of a Medic, but imparts bonuses to nearby teammates. 'Course being a 'buff' character would mean craptacular weapons. On the inverse, Medic kind of already fills that role with the Kritzkrieg... And I'm sure if something like that was implemented, people would go apeshit and scream "Oh my god! They're turning TF2 into a MMORPG! PETITION! BOYCOTT!"
In fact, I think they'd say that if they added ANY new classes...
Still, a personification of the announcer voiced by Ellen McLain as the 'civilian' for Hunted game mode would make more sense than a pudgy guy in a suit... Though she could still have an umbrella as a melee weapon. (Taunt kill: Holds out umbrella and opens it quickly then closes it?)

And when she's in real trouble, she can twist it quickly and float off.
Civilian class
It will probably be a variation of the Civilian from TFC. Maybe it could be the announcer or a commando or some shit like that, or maybe it could be the original Civilian from TFC in the suit with the umbrella. They didn't say they're definitively adding a class though, so I might be wrong.

Worst idea ever, by the way Ninjas never even fucking used katanas.
I can't think of any logical class that isn't covered by any of the existing classes. Every thing is pretty much covered, the only thing I can think that the game could possibly use is a second medic like buff class. But even then, not that big of an addition since the medic can already buff. And then if they do make it, what the hell could it be? What would logically be a buffing type of job? Scientist would be the only thing I can think of.
And fuck civilian, what the hell could it do?
I'd guess it would be in some form of a class that uses the old nades from TFC
we need the civilian class back
I just want either a Pirate, or a Robot. Fuck Ninjas
It will be Gabe Newell. Prove me wrong
According to the TF2 Wiki (not fact though, but pretty feasible), the 10th class is the Civilian. I think it's the Civilian, and a I really hope that the hunted game mode is brought back, because it's a hell of a lot better than arena.
The game works just fine with 9.
Won't happen.
