Have we forgotten about the 10th class Valve mentioned?

Tesla Trooper or maybe some kind of "Freeze" person? (Opposite of pyro.)
Tesla Trooper:
Primary: Shock Gun
Secondary: Tesla Pistol? (I can't think of anything)
Melee: Stunstick or something similar.
Shock Gun - Shoots "Chain Lightning" (If you're a Warcraft nerd) that does the most damage to the first enemy, and will bounce to up to 4 enemies, doing less damage after each bounce. Hold down primary attack and it charges.
Tesla Pistol - shoots a short range lightning strike at the enemy, has a cooldown.
Stunstick - Pretty much how it is in Half-life 2.
Martial Artist - Uses only melee weapons
Primary - Katana - 100 dmg - 160 crit
Secondary - Nunchuks - 75 dmg - 100 crit - M2 does a double swing
Fists - Same as Heavy's fist
Same speed as Scout
There would be no way to win against a pyro, the flamethrower has greater range than melee and is far more powerful.
I'd rather they didn't add another class.

Yeah, but he's got the speed of the scout.
And 200 health.
It would be cool if they were meele dominant.
I'd see it as...
"The Dueler"
A British mercenary who has a penchant for being incredibly calm during tense situations. An explorer by heart, he knows land better than most one-eyed scottish folk, masked men, or even russian bigfoots. Yes, stereotypical british accent and all.
His weapons would be:
Primary: Musket Rifle - A classic weapon, though dated.
- One shot at a time before reloading, like the Sniper Rifle.
- 1.25 sec delay after each shot before you fire again.
- 35-90 damage, depending on range and if the shot hits.
- 60-145 damage on crit
- Accuracy... 15% more accurate than the Revolver when crouched. Otherwise, 15% less accurate.
- Taunt is an infantry stance kind of deal similar to the Soldier's character animation in the class menu, only the Dueler tosses his rifle into the air and catches, similar to the hand-eye demonstrations common military uses.
Secondary: Musket Pistol - A unique take on a classic weapon.
- 6 shot max clip, with 70 balls in reserve.
- Can be reloaded similarly to the Shotgun.
- 0.35 reload for each shot, 0.25 fire rate (in seconds)
- Slightly more accurate than a standard Pistol
- Taunt is... Kind of hard to think of one.
Melee: British Sword - A sword carried by Infantry circa 1796.
- Longest melee range. I know, lag comp would make it as bad as the Pyro's flamethrower.
- 50-70 damage per swing
- On crit, 90-140 damage (which seems kind of standard for melee)
- Taunt is a simple fencing thrust, dealing 70-90 if it hits, leaving target stunned for enough time for the taunt animation to finish, with the Dueler getting 0.5 seconds more time to react and potentially finish his opponent off.
It's looking more like an offense class to me. After all, the Musket Rifle aids with long-range combat, though isn't a perfect solution. The Pistol is when you get a little tangled up, but you have the option of finishing them off with the sword.

They are two different things.

It's the general idea. Instead of nitpicking my use of terms, how about actual comments or criticisms?
Briefcase
With no real defenses of your own, you have a single objective: don't get captured. You can't walk, you can't shoot, you just go with the flow. However, you have the ability to return to your base if you're on the ground for 60 seconds. You also have more health than any other class, even the heavy. As a disadvantage, dispensers and medics can't heal you. Positively, enemies cower at your very... existance!
Primary: Spin
Your main defense against enemies. Spinning will cause you to slowly revolve around your origin. You can use it on a desk, on the floor, even on control point plates. Beware: you can't use spin while you're picked up.
Secondary: Drop Paper
What a mess! Perhaps the enemies will stop and think about picking up all this paper littered all over the ground. This is your best defense when picked up, so use it always and often. Never criticals unless at the end of a round or during a kritzkrieg.
Melee: Glow
You emit a menacing glow around you, luring allies toward you. You may glow at any point and it's recommended to glow whenever you can. It'll help allies find out where you've been dropped and point out players carrying you.
I like you.
Payload = Hunted
I thought we went through this a year ago.
Payload = a sort of fusion between CP and Hunted. There's nothing stopping the devs from recreating the original hunted. Could be a fun addition if they did, but I wouldn't care if it didn't return.
His stats got updated in the files and that in-game tip that leaked out in an update to the Brazilian version mentioned playing as the Civilian in Hunted.
