Dumb x9000
better than a cloaking pyro.
Then you just took the only nerf it has against the Backburner
why would the backburner need a buff its way too op /sarcasm

Have you ever tried using the backburner as it was meant to be used? Being a sneaky ambush Pyro, staying out of sight and out of mind. It's basically a backstab for a bunch of people at once. It's a really fun way to play the Pyro and it's reputation is severely tarnished by all the people rushing at you from the front without care.

Either way to airblast is SO much more useful, it almost seems a waste getting ass-crits when you could be blasting people around and un-firing your team.
no, the backburner is already a fucking half second kill to a heavy if he gets him in the back
My personal opinion is that the best way to buff the Backburner would be to give it stronger afterburn. Afterburn needs a buff now that there's so many ways to extinguish fires, and the Backburner needs a buff now that airblast is so much more useful, so this seems like a good way to kill two birds with one stone.
The buff should be something that's ineffective or disadvantaging for w + mouse1 pyros. I was m1ing the other day with the backburner, it's fine.
All these things considered, I think that a speed buff would be the best course of action.
Speed is a big no no. Promotes W+M1ing. With a BackBurner Buff you need something that won't be used by the noobs who will blindly charge into you and be used by people who can ambush and get the crits with the BackBurner. I like the idea of the jetpack most also maybe the BackBurner should be a bit quiter so it's a bit more stealthy and not a massive "PPPHHHHWWWSSHH" that everyone can hear. Also as stated the crits/flamethrower need to be fixed so that they register.

I 100% agree that the backburner needs a buff if it wants to stand toe-to-toe with the airblasting flamethrower.
