There should be a timer.
Sometimes Items just appear in my backpack without giving me a notification in game, or it gives a delayed notification.
I've got hella lot stuff in 30 minutes with the Server scanner.
Scout goggles, fez, strange weapons...

(I have like 6, most of them promos)
Though the other day I was shocked to open my backpack and find a brand new Hound Dog that wasn't in there the day before.

I've only found 5 items, and I think I already hit my cap. I'm not finding anything else :saddowns:
I have found no items
No items in the past two weeks.
I haven't found any today either.
Idled on one of my alt's overnight and got 1 weapon
I haven't got any items since yesterday when the drop cap should reset :confused:
Same here, played for hours but no items.
