The raffle wasn't just on Facepunch, remember? It got leaked to /v/, and that made him want to cancel the raffle.

It was still on the site. A raffle on FP is like this:

He POSTED the link to the site where he raffled them ON facepunch. Otherwise, NOBODY would get in, period. But it spread to /v/, and then he decided to cancel it for that reason.
