You could also theoretically know when your sentry is making bacon by looking at the little building status feed on the top-left of the screen. If any of the bars (sans upgrade, naturally) are going down, your little guy's doing it Texas style.

Yes. I find the sticky launcher great for mid-air detonation kills. Charging helps get the sticky as close to the target as possible.
Good technique for hard to hit targets like the scout.

Well I charge it sometimes to destroy sentry guns from afar, not very useful though.
Personally, I charge stickies pre-emptively when comming out on a large open area.

Ah, I never play Demoman, so I only found out I could charge stickys when I went through the Demoman training :v: Sounds useful, but I'll never use it.

Charging up your sticks, firing them across on 2fort, waiting for it to be full of people then blasting them all. The only time I ever play demoman, and its to outsnipe the snipers with explosives.

I charge my stickies often enough, but never to the maximum. Only when I'm trying to destroy a sentry
I spam in all directions. Charging just makes it easier to hit that sentry nest from a distance. Easy

Change the hitsounds to something less annoying
Plus I'm mostly charging them when I'm trying to catch a wounded enemy trying to escape and when being kritzed.
I'd love a chargeable sticky launcher that gave a buff.
For example, it takes 5 seconds to fully load, and while unloading you can shoot, say, 25% faster

I changed my hitsound to the infected hitsound from Left 4 Dead! It's like I'm playing boomer in Team Fortress 2!
On topic: No, I never charge the launcher. I use it for traps and my grenade launcher for killing. Named it the Force-a-Negro.
I've been playing since 2007 and I didn't even know it could charge.
Oh.. so THAT'S how you get stickies through the starting gate.
Never even knew how to. Seen it done loads though.
I don't even use hit sounds. I play Pyro a lot though, and that constant dinging from afterburn drove me crazy.
