Can I add something? Without drama, of course. Just a question. I'm not trying to get anyone pissed off, I just want to add my two cents. There may be no "official" price, but there IS a price for the value of every item in the game that most TF2 players agree on. The trades you guys make certainly aren't fair, hence the title of the thread, "rip-off trading". I think the trades in this thread call only be considered fair if both players are aware of the generally agreed-upon value of the items being traded. Next time you trade for a Sandvich for a Gentle Manne's Medal, how about informing the guy beforehand that the medal is considered to be worth two buds and a Bill's Hat. If he stills wants the Sandvich, then yeah, it's fair.

Inform them of what value exactly? There is still no set price other than their own personal one. If they think a bills is worth 1 hat, then it is worth 1 hat, and if the other person trading is willing to accept that price, then it is a fair trade.

The value that most players agree upon. Where's that value chart when you need it? Some of it was included in Doomish's post. All I'm saying is, you should at least inform the other player that these items do have a generally agreed-upon value and make them aware of it. You can PM me if you want to continue this discussion, otherwise let's agree to disagree.
