[IDEA] Crappy Weapons - negative stats for a reason!

Chinese Weapons seems hilarious to me as name.
I like the idea, but wouldn't some inverted weapons be overpowered or underpowered?
Inverted Blutsauger... :v:
But imho, REVERSED fits better
Hard Mode Minigun
-25% damage
+10% vulnerability to all damage
Medic heals at half speed
x2 points from kills and assists
Special purple kill icon
Crappy weapons sounds like a pretty bad idea, inverted sounds great.
We need testing immediately.
How about a new thread for the inverted idea since we're not even discussing crappy weapons anymore?
I think crappy weapons might be a good idea if they dropped like Mann Co. crates and didn't count towards your item cap.
I think the idea is half decent, but I don't think it's worth Valve's time when they could be doing other important stuff.
[sp]Adding a hunted gamemode.[/sp]
Crappy Eyelander
Lose Health and Speed with each head you give
Crappy Half Zatoichi.
Killing an enemy kills you instead.
I hate the crappy weapons idea, but I like the inverted weapons idea.
Would a crappy medigun suck your health? :psyduck:
Heal the enemy with your health.
Inverted Loch N load
Grenades have range falloff on a direct hit.
Grenades don't explode on contact with an enemy.
-20% damage done.
-25% projectile speed.
Launched bombs don't shatter on surfaces.
+60% clip size.
-25% damage done to self.
OH god.
Crappy = Negative stats only. The Loch N Load would be :
-Launched bomb shatter on surfaces
+25% damage to self
-60% clip size

it was inverted
It would make the game harder, but I don't think the word should be crappy.
Inverted weapons, I am very interested in though.
1. Fixed.
2. Read the last answer in the Q/A.
3. Then you need to learn to play.
Holy shit you're daft.
This wouldn't work.
1. Introducing Crappy Weapons to show your skills: Wrong. "lol im so pro" players try to find the most overpowered loadouts, not the shittiest ones, to show off their skills.
2. Introducing Crappy Weapons for the lolz: Wrong. While it seems trolls would use those weapons to kill people, they would just be trolling the same exact people who would get trolled if you killed them with normal weapons (OMG HAX), so what's the point? Hell, I'd be impressed, not "trolled", if someone did that to me. Besides, Valve doesn't want to support trolling.
3. Introducing Crappy Weapons to get better: Wrong. No one will use them for that purpose.
4. Introducing Inverted Weapons period: Wrong. The weapons would be too OP, too UP, or just in general useless. Forget it. It's hopeless. 65% increase in weapon switch time is a lot compared to an extra 25 damage you could get from the Backburner! Not to mention... Inverted Loch N Load: HOLY SHIT OVERPOWERED, it's like an explosive shotgun for the Demoman that allows him to rocket jump! Combine THAT with the Eyelander and Targe and it's the ultimate overpowered machine. Fuck that shit.
So, Daimao had it right:
I don't really see the point in these weapons. I mean no-one but item collectors would want them and I can't imagine the rage from someone who just opened a new crate and got a "Crappy" weapon.
Oh my god. This is an amazing idea! That would definitely be a challenge, and extremely fun addition to the game. I hope Valve takes this, and adds it to their game! c:
Inverted Loch N load

No no no Suttles, the top two are for the wiki only. They're informative, not pros or cons.
The Inverted Loch N Load would be this:
-20% damage done.
-25% projectile speed.
Launched bombs explode on surfaces.
+60% clip size.
-25% damage done to self.
In other words, it doesn't do a lot of damage and the nades don't travel as far, however they don't bounce and explode on contact with whatever they touch, it's loaded with 7 shots at a time, and can be used to fucking rocket jump. It's a goddamn explosive round shotgun. It's an M79 on crack.
Actually, now that I think about it if they inverted two of the stats on the Loch N Load, it'd be a straight side grade and not the downgrade it is now...
Rustic Hats
The Crappy "Unusual" version of this idea.
I guess you could just get an Unusual Mining Light w/ Flies, but that's just not as fun.

mining light with flies goes for 3 buds. Just saying.
mining light with flies goes for 3 buds. Just saying.
I don't like the Mining Light, nor Flies effect in my honest opinion.
Anyways, it was just a joke. :v:
Crappy Eyelander

:ohdear:
Inverted Brass Beast
50% faster spin-up time
60% faster speed while deployed
-20% damage done
Talk about overpowered weapons
Inverted Conniver's Kunai
+65 max healt on wearer
-On backstab : Drains the same amout of healt as the victim's
It would be a suicidal backstab weapon. Backstabbing a full-healt pyro would leave you with 10hp
inverted tomislav
+ 20% rate of fire
40% longer spinup time
EXTRA LOUD BARREL SPIN SOUND!!!
but i think the "challenge" weapons would be cool.
nobody would complain about using the backburner :v:
Inverted Jarate
Coated enemies take 35% less damage
Also handy for setting you or your teammates on fire

An interesting idea on paper, but I'd hate to see it in-game. Sure, it may be fun/ satisfying for YOU, but I don't want my team mates to be using purposely-crappy weapons for the sake of showing off. I'd get way too frustrated after setting off an uber only to find my targetted Heavy is using a minigun that does 50% less damage and fires 10% alower.
Inverted GRU.
+50% damage
+6 HP/second
-33% speed.
OPness to the max.
Inverted GRU.
+50% damage

OPness to the max.
>Get hurt
>Equip GRU
Problem, enemy team? :v:
Quite the contrary, People open crates now at $2.50 a pop hoping for items with no attributes at all.
Beauty is an attribute, if you're talking about hats. It just can't be measured numerically.
Inverted Eyelander would be interesting, actually.
You start with the 4 heads speed/health bonus, +25 additional
You lose more and more as you make each kill, so you have to decide whether you want to reload, risking dying, and waste ammo on a close enemy, or take a melee kill to save yourself - but weaken yourself simultaneously.

or just lose max health every time you take a head
